Yep, all the other reviewers have it right - management SUCKS and is the worst part of living here. Had an issue that could have been easily resolved. It seems super trivial, but such a small event really shows the true colors of the people that work here. My roommate and I were only given one key at move-in for the mailbox. I asked for another key later down the line, since we have 2 tenants but 1 key. Management (Kathryn) insists she gave 2 keys. Then the building manager (Loraine) says I will be fined if I do not cough up cash and duplicate the key myself. Ridiculous! For a key someone else lost. If someone else commits a crime, are you expected to go to jail for them? Exaggerated analogy, but you get the picture. It's about the principle. Plus tenants are expected to use the service elevator, which is also the elevator they take out the trash in. Many times, multiple elevators are broken resulting in long congested lines of irate tenants trying to get to their floors. There is limited aircon and the water is always coming out brown. All the time. Really, do yourself a favor and don't live here. The doormen are really nice, and the building is close to train stops. That's about it.

Worst apartment management ever. Passive aggressive, hostile attitude. Every single time you called for help they would give you this "none of my business" attitude, and may mock at you too. All they care about is to collect your money and disappear. In terms of facilities, old and not properly maintained. The heater always stop at midnight and you would freeze to awake. Poorly renovated bathroom and a gym that's equal to nonexistent.

Fitness center might as well not exist for residents who want a treadmill. There are three treadmills that serve the entire building and two have been out of service for the past six months despite many complaints. There remains one treadmill to serve hundreds of residents and it's constantly in use. Construction on the Cedar St side that has lasted for a year. Starts at 6:30 in the morning and ends at about 6pm, Monday to Saturday. Loud banging, yelling, huge freight evelator right outside your door. Closing your windows do not help the matter. Except to keep the construction dust out. Be mindful that you must keep your windows closed at all times if you do not want construction dust to enter... The valet and some of the door staff are fantastic and completely redeem the previously mentioned conditions.

Do not move here, You pay luxury prices for a dirty frat house Cleanliness is an issue in the hallways, trash area, laundry and terrace. The Gym machines have never been cleaned they are gross. Management is the worst part about living here. If your looking for a real apartment in Fidi, try the other luxury buildings around that live up to what they promise.

WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT LIVE HERE. ... Or at any other apartment building these guys manage. Literally the RUDEST, NASTIEST people I have ever dealt with. You fork over thousands of dollars to them each month and they still treat you like you are a piece of dirt. I have never felt so mistreated by a management company in my life. If you have a question about your billing, FORGET ABOUT IT. They will purposely make you feel dumber than rocks for inquiring. I mean, let's be honest, the Financial District is nothing to boast about in the first place. Everything around the building closes by 8 pm and you can forget about the weekends. I was there during Sandy and they really did a terrible job of telling us any information, building updates etc etc. I understand the impact Sandy had but really would have been nice to have been updated on the status of our building every couple of months or so since we were running on generators for about 5 months.. All in all, absolutely not worth it. Take my advice. DO NOT sign a lease. One year is more than enough for me to get the h*ll out of there. Oh, the doormen are really nice. That's the only positive thing I have to say.

The building itself is nice, however after Sandy things really went downhill. They do not actually have a gym even though they continue to advertise it. The real issue I have is with the property management. The doormen and maintenance people are nice, but the management is impossible to deal with. They are incredibly rude and make me want to break my lease just so I dont have to deal with them. I do not suggest living here.

DON'T LIVE HERE!! It's overpriced for the quality of the building. Somehow management thought it was a good idea to spray paint doors on a weekday evening - nothing better than coming home to men in gas masks spraying your door so you can barely get inside, all the while choking on the paint in the air - especially when you had no prior notice of this. The noise through the vents is ridiculous, all 4 elevators are rarely working, and after handling Hurricane Sandy pretty poorly, they decided to jack my rent up by a good $300 a month - it was exactly the push I needed to move out and never look back. Save yourself the trouble and don't waste your money!

Just plain awful. Staffs are the worst! Doorman always lazy & rude... It will take a month to fix the hallway lightbulb, find carpets disgusting..pieces of trash on main hallway left for over a month. T here's always tourist coming in to stay short term lease.. No sense of urgency, no security.. Can't tell you more. Please find friendly building if you decide to stay in FiDi

Do NOT rent here if you hope to stay in your apartment more than a year. I moved out a few months ago after management tried to increase my rent 15% over my first year rent price. The truly outrageous part was that at the time they quoted me this new rent, you could see from the building website that there were half a dozen vacancies for apartments like mine, and every single one of them was priced LOWER than what they wanted to charge me. I wanted to stay but moved out because I felt like I was being ripped off. Sure enough, when they re-posted my apartment on the website, they were asking new tenants $100 LESS than the price the quoted me. We all know it costs a lot of money for landlords when tenants move out--they have to repaint, the apartment may sit empty for a while, etc. So there is NO REASON an existing tenant should be quoted a price higher than a new tenant except that you know the landlord is trying to gouge people because they know moving is expensive for the tenants, too. Bottom line, management doesn't care about apartment turnover, will try to rip you off when it comes time for lease renewal. Stay away unless you were only planning on staying one year anyway.
