Pros: - When they do respond, its pretty ok. - Older tenants are nice. Cons: • Rat infested. You hear them in the walls. • Building management appears overwhelmed. While staff are nice, the volume of challenging tenant issues has resulted in a consistently defensive approach. • The garbage compactor has been “out of service” for a few years. • Smoking frequently occurs in the hallways. Due to the age of the building, smoke travels into individual apartments, causing ongoing air quality concerns. • Noise disturbances are common. The building’s age offers little sound insulation, and tenants appear largely unresponsive to noise considerations. • The doorbell/intercom system is poorly maintained, making it difficult or impossible to see or ring tenants through the system. • The building superintendent demonstrates a consistently unprofessional and unapproachable demeanor. Advice to landlord: - Stop allowing anyone to move into the building.
