I couldn’t have asked for a better stay than at the Hancock House. My room was bright and airy with plenty of storage. The neighborhood has a great mix of energy and calm, with lots of local spots to explore. Outpost made the whole experience easy and enjoyable.

Pros: The move-in process was simple and stress-free, and Anastasia was very helpful every step of the way. Cons: The bathroom could use a bit more shelf space, but overall, it was a pleasant experience.

The convenience of monthly cleaning and restocked supplies was a huge plus. The house itself was beautiful, and my time there felt like a premium living experience. Sharing two bathrooms with four roommates was manageable thanks to good communication.

Pros: I’ve been living at here and really enjoy it. My room is cozy and well-designed, and the shared areas are spacious and organized so everyone has enough room. I also love that there’s a washer and dryer in the building — and they’re free to use, which is a big plus. Using my phone instead of physical keys is super convenient too. Overall, it’s a comfortable and well-thought-out place to live. Cons: The only downside is that there’s no gym in the building or nearby.

The apartment itself is nice, but I wasn’t too happy with the upfront costs. The rent is a bit high for the area, and I wasn’t expecting such a large deposit. The community aspect was good, but I would have appreciated more organized events.

I stayed at 854 Hancock St through Outpost Coliving for a while, and the place grew on me quickly. The house itself has a classic Brooklyn vibe — high ceilings, wooden floors, and those little details that make it feel less like a rental and more like an old home with character. My room wasn’t big, but the sunlight in the mornings made it feel warm and inviting. What I appreciated most was the mix of people. You could grab a quiet breakfast in the kitchen or suddenly end up in a conversation about someone’s project or travel story. It felt natural, not forced, and made day-to-day life a little more interesting. The block is calm, but just a few minutes away you’ve got busy streets with stores, takeout spots, and the train, so it’s easy to balance quiet time with city life. Overall, it wasn’t just a place to sleep — it gave me a sense of community while still letting me have my own space.

Unit 3 Pros: Clean stairwell. Nice front door. Secure entrance to apartment. Lower rental costs due to coliving. Cons: Poor management by Common coliving. Apartments only professionally cleaned once per month. Mold in bathrooms. Brown water coming out of bathroom tub faucet. Bathroom sink clogged. Too many people living in one apartment. Constant garbage pile up and bad smells in apartment. No enforcement of no pet and no smoking policy. Advice to landlord: Failure to listen to tenants’ concerns results in poor property management

Unit 4 Pros: The amenities in the building are great. It is a good place to live if you need a room or you are a college student. Lights power and WiFi are included. Washer/Dryer in unit. Cons: The management is slow to fix problems and hard to get in contact with. In the time I lived here the roof leaked, basement flooded twice, and we had mice issues. The common area in the basement had squatters on various occasions. Although all units have a washer/dryer, they are small and not serviced on schedule. Advice to landlord: Should have someone on site to deal with day to day issues.
