Unit 6E Pros: Location, my particular unit had laundry and dishwasher and was rent stabilized, elevator Cons: Some neighbors smoke in the hallways constantly, there is a serious rat issue especially by the trash, recently we saw a rat in lobby, super is over-worked and underpaid, impossible to get a hold of management, cheap ass repairs that need to be re-repaired always, packages get stolen, the front door is always unlocked Advice to landlord: get your shit together

Pros: Very large remodeled and spacious layouts with nice stainless steel appliances. Very affordable for the space you get. Location is very close to Prospect Park, which is great. Cons: Very dirty and not well maintained building. All class of pests in the building and management won't do anything about it. They are not responsive and do a terrible job at fixing things. Advice to landlord: Please take care of your buildings if you don't want to keep losing good tenants. The building has so much potential.

Pros: Large space. Super has responded quickly to any request. Haven't had any major issues. Pretty quiet on my floor at least. Good heat and water. Cons: Cockroaches. Not a ton because I keep stuff clean, but they're definitely here. No rats inside building from what I've seen, but my view is literally of a rat infested courtyard. To make matters worse, a couple people throw their trash into the courtyard for no damn reason. It's your standard rent stabilized old-school building. The main office is IMPOSSIBLE. Tashay doesn't know heads from tails. Advice to landlord: Clean up the damn courtyard.

Pros: Elevator that worked 99% of the time, big apartments Cons: A fire in the building ruined the water for the entire length of our lease, the ceiling in the bedroom leaked, the water was turned off regularly. The radiators were INSANE and were super loud and very powerful - had to leave the windows open all winter.

Pros: Proximity to the park and other shops and services Cons: The landlord is absent. When I moved in, him/his company used to manage the property tried charging me over the amount that was agreed to in the lease. The apartment has electrical issues in the bathroom and structural issues in the living room that were never fixed. Water is turned off at random without warning. When you stop paying rent, you have a chance of a response. Very few people in this building are clean, the super is stretched thin between managing at least 3 buildings. Neighbors are loud with parties until 3-4a, and will smoke in their apartments and in the hallways. Fighting often breaks out in front of the building. Package thieves about, but nothing is done about them. Cameras in place but potentially not working. It has been hell living here and I am so glad to be able to get out. You will not get your deposit back. Advice to landlord: Start being a responsible landlord about your properties and the people in them. If you're going to give the bare minimum then you better be ready to charge the bare minimum as well.
