Pros: Location, roof, room size Cons: The acceptable: no windows in living room, no closets anywhere but bedrooms The unacceptable: terrible electricity problems throughout entire building that effect everyone. Building management is incredibly incompetent for god knows what reasons. Power goes out often and is generally unstable, causing stress in living there. This issue alone makes it not worth living here if you can help it. If this wasn't an issue it would be a decent place to live but this makes it feel like a total scam. Advice to landlord: Hire an actual licensed electrician to fix the power issues or sell the building to someone who will follow the law.

Unit 4B Pros: Our unit was very nice and reasonably priced, and there’s laundry in the building! Cons: We had tons of maintenance issues and our super was responsible for fixing most of them himself, which meant that it took a long time for anything to get fixed. Sometimes the issue was fixed inadequately and recurred.

Pros: The Rooftop and lack of bugs, etc. inside the building (there’s rats and roaches everywhere in front). Maintenance was responsive and helpful. Cons: Garbage area was disgusting, rats and roaches everywhere. Walls are super thin so you can hear every little noise from your neighbors, I could hear their phone vibrate upstairs. Management company is super unhelpful, whenever I called about something non- maintenance related, they were beyond unhelpful and rude. Pipes near my room creak really loudly. There’s not really any vents or windows in living room/ kitchen/ bathrooms so mold forms quickly and air is always thick/ humid. Walls weren’t finished being painted when we moved in and there’s paint spots all over the wooden floors. Basement/ laundry area is not maintained well. Packages were getting stolen and mail envelopes were thrown on the floor in the entrance. Front door key code access stops working often and you will be locked out unless someone can open the door from inside, it wouldn’t usually get fixed until the next day or that night. Advice to landlord: Just do better in cleaning, managing the building, it’s a great looking apartment.

Pros: Proximity to transit and places are walkable. Cons: Property management is lethargic. Trash is not well kept. I had a delivery person call the front of the building “rat city” because of the trash pile up and rat situation. They’ve been flagged by sanitation multiple times for it. Power in the building is also an issue. Constant light flickering, top floors lost all their power recently but I think con Edison was able to fix it. The place looks good but it has underlying issues between infrastructure and bad property management. Won’t be renewing because I can get a better situation for the same price or less elsewhere. Advice to landlord: Listening to your tenants and being more proactive on their requests would go a long way.
