i have lived in790 Eldert Lane #3L with my son and boyfriend now husband, and I must say moving here was one of my biggest mistakes. The rent has drastically increased. I moved here in 2012 paying $1279.00 a month now I am currently forced to pay $3000.00 a month. This place is full of rodents. The garbage on Eldert Lane smells. The upkeep is horrible. Security here is a joke all they smoke and get high while on duty. This is the worst development I have ever lived in. Laurie Johnson-Albert

My lady and I, had an interview there recently. When walking in the lobby of the building, you smell the horrific stench of urine, animals and Cigarettes smoke. The security officer was tacky, he did not greet us at all. The lady that interviewed us was not organized and all over the place. The few tenants I seen wasn't friendly. Not a good start, The look of the building outside needs work. This community needs God's grace and mercy on it! ....to be continued

Grew up and lived here for 25 years and I am ready to move out. The place has gotten slightly better in some respects than it was back in the 90's and early 00's but not enough to recommend living here for an extended period of time. Recertification every year always results in a crazy increase. You get charged $50/month extra for every air conditioner you own. There was and still is a bed bug infestation. Roaches are all over the kitchen and bathroom areas. For every mouse you kill, 3 more appear, hanging out in the stoves and under the fridge and in the dining area. And speaking of the mice, the tenants are so nasty because whenever they find a mouse in the sticky traps, they fling the traps out the terrace. Also every time it rains, the tenants decide thats the perfect time to toss dog crap and used condoms off their terraces. On the higher floors, the pigeons crap all over everything. As for the tenants, aside from tossing mice, crap and scumbags from the terraces, they'll also throw eggs, water balloons, liquor bottles and dirty diapers. There are also drunks that hang out in the lobby with the security guards at night and potheads that smoke in the staircase, the hallways and the rear exit. What's even better is that the smell travels into your apartment and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. And when the drunks are going home, you hear them banging on the door to be let into where ever it is they are trying to get into. The water situation is pretty bad as well. If you don't shower before the maintenance men go home, the water that comes out of the faucet will alternate from scalding hot to freezing cold when you try to take a shower. And if you're neighbor decides its a great idea to drop their weave in their drain, you'll be the one with the clog and the unwanted weave. When it comes to repairs, it's always a gamble. There is a 33% chance of either getting someone that will take 3 days to fix something like a clog or replacing a closet hinge, getting someone that gets the job done on the spot or getting the famous excuse "we don't have the part, we need to order it" which means you're not getting whatever it is fixed for another 2 - 3 weeks unless you do it yourself. Also, if the elevators aren't busted, they're full of crap and urine. And don't ever take the outside elevator, its pretty much a mobile toilet. There are 2 pools on premises that have not been operational since I moved in. The older tenants tell me that when they were opened, people would use it as a giant toilet, and some other people would throw things from their terrace trying to hit the people in the pools so they closed it down. The laundry rooms that are on site are a joke as well. It used to be $1 - $1.25 to either wash or dry your clothes, and they always used to come out clean and dry. If I remember correctly, the dryers would dry the clothes for about 30 minutes for each payment. You would be able to do a months worth of laundry for about $10. Now, they dry for about 15 minutes per payment and you need to dry them 2 - 3 times. It usually takes me about $45 to do a months worth of laundry now. About the only thing has improved in this building is that no one gets robbed or raped anymore in the elevators or hallways. Otherwise this place is not the place to be

Moved here in October 2009.... #Horrible! Elevators are always pissy and broken down. Infested with rodents, bugs including bed bugs. Management is a joke, most are drug abusers. These are definitely overpriced projects. Garbage sits for days, all appliances are cheaply made as well as the walls and just everything! They have nerve to drag you to court when you are a month behind on rent just really not worth the money. Lease says no pets, but people have many, some too big and vicious to be in an apartment. Also the laundry room sucks, machines are always out of service and the rooms smell completely of mildew and is just so dirty!!!Moving out asap, can't deal with this anymore smh

Linden Plaza Associates over charges rent for mice and roaches which is a big infestation here. The security is lazy. The maintaence men complains about doing their jobs, in which is not done properly. If something in your apartment is broken it take days for the maintence men to come and repair it. Cheap stoves, cheap refrigertors. The tenants get high all day. There are noises that is heard above me, kids running are dropping things all the time. There is no community. Alot of traffic, meaning you don't know your neighbors, because they are consistently moving in out of the building. You don't know who you are living around. I am planning on moving out of here. You call the main office and sometimes they don't reply to your call until you have to keep bugging them. Every year is recertification for those who are getting section eight, they dig into your personel affairs, to see how much you make. They want to know every cent you make, to see if they are being shorten, not overcharge. Eight months ago they asked me to fill out this form, saying I might have chance of getting my rent lowered. After they found out all my business and I gave them all my documents I didn't recieve no answer. I am still waiting to here if I qualify for them to lower my rent. The whole deal was to see if I had any hidden money, so they can raise my rent, which is not affordable now.

I just moved in and the upkeep of the buildings are horrible. I pay 1132 a month and I would expect better living conditions. Trash on Eldert lane stays there for days on days before maintenance comes and sweep it up. There is a broken light coming up the stairs on Eldert lane that I would expect management to handle. The inside landscape is beautiful but the outside is horrible. Security sleeps at night and sometimes disappears smoking something outside. I dont have a problem with my fellow tenants which is a blessing. The laundry has old machines that need repair. I would suggest not moving here unless you need an apartment quick Like I did.

I would never recommend anyone to apply for Linden Plaza. They need to send out a tenant poll. The buildings are infested with rodents and water bugs, in the apartments, in the exits you see mice and bugs constantly. There are dead mice outside in back of the buildings. The lights on top of the building as well as on the side of the garage are alway out. It is pitch black on the car ramp. Securtiy does not do their jobs. I've seen security guards on their cell phones, smoking marajuana on the job, i've even seen a security guard peeing in the back of the building. New management has allowed tenants to have dogs. Pit Bulls and Rotweilers are off their leashes. Tenants do not clean up after their dogs. You see dog crap all over the place, on the ramps, even on the ledge of the grass when you come out of the buildings. It's all over the place. There needs to be a large metal garbage bin in the back of the buildings on Eldert Lane side for the tenants to put their garbage in. Garbage is all over the place in the back of the building. Black oil on the ground in the back. Something desperately needs to be done about the rodent and water bug problem. They had the tenants pick up the keyosk and they have never fixed the intercom system and the doors are always kept opened. Someone needs to help.

The Linden Plaza staff is about the laziest bunch of people I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They sit in the office as if the are so busy but really they do nothing. No one in the entire office staff is able to multi-task. Chewing gum and walking would be a terribly hard job for them. The only one in the office that even almost remotely tries to work is the lady at the window and another women Maria. there is no reason why it takes them 45 minutes to fix a key for the down stairs door that should have worked upon the time it was given to you. IN GENERAL THE LINDEN PLAZA STAFF SUCKS AND ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!

I have lived in Linden Plaza since the early-70's. We used to have soda machines, milk machines, and candy machines in every building. We had working swimming pools, and even a small store in the lobby of Building 1 (760). Security used to be good, and always available. Every Sunday, some of my friends from the area would deliver and sell newspapers to your door! It used to be a very tight-knit community, but in the mid-late 90's it started to get really bad, and run down. Recently they have renovated the grounds, as well as the apartments. The renovations have been cheap. I believe they used the cheapest contractors they could find, and simply patched things up. Putting a fresh coat of paint, on a wall that needs to be replaced is pointless and stupid. Many of the old things they replaced like the kitchen & bathroom sinks and even medicine cabinets - were more sturdier and lasted longer than this new crap. The new mailboxes are nice, and the new windows they installed in the apartments are great. The shower/tub and kitchen cabinet, and kitchen tiles renovations suck major donkey d#ck. The elevators are horrible, pissy and break down every week. The old elevators we had lasted damnn near 30 years, and had windows. The new ones broke down within a month! Now, the new ------ people who live here, walk all over the BRAND new grass they just planted, and let their dogs ---- all in the grass. It clearly says in the lease, that no dogs are allowed. I even have neighbors who simply throw their trash in the stairway. Never had that happen back in the day. Security guards here are a joke. Many of them look like they are only 21 years old, and know all the young heads that cause trouble - so they are of no use. Linden Plaza now have the nerve to charge 3-400 dollars more for rent per apartment, due to these renovations that will be destroyed by next year. I say get rid of the ------ mentality, and bring in people who CARE about where they live.
