Pros: - cheap studio apartment, able to live alone nicely Cons: - building is a little older and needs more consistent repairs by the super -package theft due to people being let into the building unauthorized

Pros: Not too noisy depending on floor you live and direct neighbors. In a good location, area not too lively and calm. Laundry on site. Responsive super. Cons: Laundry machines not regularly cleaned. Seemed those who don’t have a key can still enter building (had multiple packages stolen from people who don’t live here). Advice to landlord: keep updated on cleanliness

Pros: Lots of closet space and beautiful hardwood floors. It was really affordable for a studio. Laundry in building too Cons: I had a horrible cockroach problem. Also didn’t get hot water in the kitchen sink and the common area hallways were never cleaned. Advice to landlord: Clean the hallways! I would look at the same dead cockroach for weeks as I left the building

Pros: Great studio layout that almost feels like a one-bedroom. Kitchen has its own nook. Sort of has an entrance hallway. Elevator, shower/tub, two amazing closets with built-in shelving, functioning buzzer, helpful live-in super, laundry in-building. Cons: During quarantine, the amount of small-to-medium roaches in the kitchen (and occasionally in the main room & bathroom, despite keeping drain covered) escalated to the point where we didn’t want to be in the kitchen. This created an aversion to the space over time, and became exhausting, despite using so much Raid & taking advantage of the building pest spray when available. Advice to landlord: I think the problem starts in the basement and goes up the floors. There are always big cockroaches in the laundry area of the basement. The building does take care of the trash area outside, but for some reason, the bugs are just a little out of control. No bed bugs, thankfully, but the roaches are worse than the other apartments I’ve lived in in Brooklyn and Manhattan alike.
