Pros: Great location, pet loving landlords, great to have a private courtyard (w/bike storage) and roof deck during quarantine. Dishwasher and HVAC in units, coin laundry room in basement. Building has been lived-in, but maintained. Common areas kept clean by staff. Super is responsive and quick with repairs. Small, family-owned property mgmt office located two doors down. There is a beautiful Japanese shio plum tree behind the property that blossoms and fruits each year. Cons: Some of the finishes in the units are basic or outdated. (A lot of honey oak.) There are a few design flaws- such as the tiled-in toilet paper holder being 50” reach from the seat. The laundry room machines often have issues, which was less annoying when they were cheaper. It’s a walk-up, so upstairs tenants get some flights in. Intercom building, generally feels secure, but having Salerno open 24/7 is kind of nice. One loud, drunk neighbor yells on the phone, is the president of the renter’s association. Even though we don’t have said association. Advice to landlord: Less coins in the laundry. Otherwise, thanks for being great lords of the land.
