Canarsie is Brooklyn's suburban frontier — detached homes, driveways, and a predominantly Caribbean community that's fiercely protective of its quiet, middle-class character. Canarsie Pier juts into Jamaica Bay with views and fishing, and the L train's eastern terminal is here.
