Pros: Central location close to trains Cons: Landlord and super are almost completely unresponsive, only contact you to charge baseless claims and then call the cops on tenants to try to scare them, charge $500 fines with out explanation, then charge late fees on top of that. Do not answer calls, emails or letter but then text tenants from blocked number threatening to send the police for supposed “complaints from neighbors”. Poor plumbing in building, loud sounds from walls and floors all hours of day and night. Management ignores tenants and likely harassing tenants to make them move out. Apartment is cheaply made, can hear conversations and traffic from the street, no sound insulation. Advertise roof access then revoke it after lease is signed. Terrible people, do not care about tenants avoid at all cost.

Pros: Literally the only thing about this apartment that was a pro was the full size oven. Cons: We never had sufficient water pressure or regular hot water. The water would barely come out of the shower and would often shut off mid use. If the water ever even got above ice cold (which was rare outside of the summer months) We tried to work with the management to fix this. Not only were they impossible to get ahold of, they also refused to believe there was a problem and called us liars and threatened to take us to court. The super and her husband threatened to hurt my roommate during phone calls. The kitchen sink never would get hot enough to make me feel like our dishes were clean. I had to take ice cold showers after walking home in negative cold temperatures. This was a very inhuman way to force us to live. Eventually they basically scared us into submission. We feared taking them to court would cost us more than we could afford. Several times they threatened to come to the unit at night without our consent or proper notice while I was home alone. The day we moved out, the super threw a bag of our trash across the street and flung her bottle of juice at our movers. I have never had to live under such scary and unpredictable conditions. Advice to landlord: I’m really at a loss of words at how you treated your tenants. Living in this building is one of the most stressful experiences of my life. Fix the water. Learn how to treat people better. Stop threatening your tenants. Again, fix the water.
