Unit 1 Pros: Yard access, spacious rooms Cons: The basement would flood every time it rains and grow mold. Pests- bees, hornets, wasps, ants, cockroaches, centipedes, flies, gnats, would make their way into the house in the summer. No upkeep with the outside of the building. Mysterious lumps under the air vents. Bathroom cabinet got moldy. Terrible superintendent who changed the lock on the door without telling us and locked us out at midnight. Very uncommunicative and disorganized property group, slow to act on work requests. Every time they emailed us it would be a different person. Advice to landlord: Develop a system for organization where you can distinguish between properties, treat us like people please. Deal with the mold and pest issues accordingly, make sure the property is insulated and protected from natural forces. It's a long term investment that will be beneficial to your tenants wellbeing. And hire a new super that doesn't lock people out of their home and step all over the floors with dirty shoes.
