Unit 1B Pros: Amazing location between Bed-Stuy and Clinton Hill. Cons: Managements controls (and barely turns on) the heat. Apartment is barely insulated and two of three windows are poorly built and unstable. Building regularly has bugs and pests, despite regular “fumigation.”

Unit 4C Pros: I liked my neighbors. Cons: The building regularly lost heat, once for two weeks in the middle of January. We were wearing winter coats and sitting under blankets all day. Advice to landlord: Stop being neglectful and realize people could actually die.

Pros: New-ish appliances and nice residents Cons: Didn't fix a broken front door (broken glass everywhere) for a month after it broke, and some days in winter (like the coldest) they will not have the heat on at all in the building Advice to landlord: They should try to fix problems when they arise and not wait until theres a cheaper way to fix things

Pros: Units are renovated, heat is included. Cons: Pest issues. Too many roaches a few years ago when I lived there. Exterminators visited once a month, however, nothing changed and I had to move out. The management responds very slow. Heat is included but it gets too hot in the winter, there was no control within the unit so I had to suffer from the extreme heat.

Pros: Lots of sunlight. Friendly neighbors. Roof access. Cons: Terrible owners and management - responds to your concerns or questions (including lease inquiries) when they feel like it. Lots of roaches. Doesn’t turn on heat during the winter. Doesn’t return security deposit. Tries to charge you for made up fees. Advice to landlord: None because they’re not going to listen to you anyway.

Pros: If you’re facing the street, ample sunlight Super is friendly, does his best to keep the overflowing garbage contained. That’s it. Cons: - say goodbye to your security deposit- multiple residents have told me they are suing the landlord. -say goodbye to your packages, some asshole is always stealing them and the management does nothing -roachville. Say hello to your (not new) forever roommates who never pay. You will find egg sacs in your closet. So will your neighbors. Basement is overflowing with their carcasses (the roaches). -apt management takes FOREVER (we’re talking months) to get back to you on anything, if at all. They’re always away on some holiday. They will charge you random shit thst shouldn’t be charged. -loud af, say goodbye to sleep as you will hear cop cars and ambulances all hours. Crackheads will sing a lullaby to you (mostly at the garbage can outside your window) at night. Sound insulation is poor- you will always hear pounding footsteps from people above. -everything in the apt is shittily and poorly constructed Advice to landlord: You know your problems, you just don’t give two shits about your residents.
