Pros: Close to the train Has fenced yard Cons: Always Packages stolen all the time Damaged walls downstairs Management doesn’t seem to keep up with the property Advice to landlord: Get some kind if lockers or something for packages. The number of packages that get stolen is ridiculous

Pros: The neighbors were great, the building was clean, and the neighborhood is lovely. Cons: My packages were constantly stolen. This was a known issue in the building, and despite my constant pleas to deal with it, management did not change lock codes, locks, or increase security. I had thousands of dollars of mail stolen over the two years I lived there. Advice to landlord: Listen to your tenants and increase security!

Pros: Updated units, in a cute old house. Backyard area that needs love but is nice. Cons: People steal packages a lot. Management is very unresponsive. Our bedroom window broke at the beginning of winter (which is right next to our bed bc the room is so small) and wasn’t fixed until February, so our window was stuck open in freezing temps. Building isn’t dirty but needs much better care. Units and closets are super tiny. Advice to landlord: Better communication.

Pros: Close to the subway Cons: (Nookly) is a horrendous management company Too close to the subway, you hear the j train coming and going . this building is constantly a mess maintenance man is very unprofessional and very loud in the hallways yelling and talking loudly on the phone . Packages constantly gets stolen. some of the neighbors are very young and very loud and disrespectful in the morning and late at night.  The laundry room is a nightmare and rigged so you pay more for one load, old dirty machines not maintained at all. I wouldn’t use them. Advice to landlord: Hire a new maintenance that is willing to do the work to keep the apartment building clean. be responsive to tenets issues and make sure everything works properly.

Pros: New apartments (when I moved in), small back yard, private garage Cons: Terrible landlord, unresponsive, water pressure issues, loud neighbors. Advice to landlord: Be more responsive to your tenants!

Pros: Location, laundry in building, high ceilings, friendly tenants, central ac. Cons: Poor management responsiveness. Sewage flooding in lower level of 1st floor apartments due to old pipes. Packages get stolen from lobby. Advice to landlord: Update pipes to avoid further flooding.
