Pros: This location is a complex of six six-story buildings, three entrances, the nicer one being the one on Bronx Park East. It is conveniently located in terms of public transportation: the 2 line stops a couple blocks away while the 5 isn't far. Also, several bus lines plus an express bus service into the city all run nearby. Parking around here is a nightmare though. This complex has a laundry facility in the basement, albeit one; maintenance is done daily, but there are tenants that think nothing of littering. The area has become more commercialized in the last, say fifteen years or so. Cons: Heating can be a bit of an issue, definitely not a regular problem at all, but the boiler reportedly has caused some issues, particularly at the start of the cold season. An occasional winter inconvenience, yes. Then it gets quite warm. Advice to landlord: New owner, Progressive Management, has been hard to get a hold of since the beginning. Maintenance and the superintendent are very responsive though.

Pros: Rent - thought it was a good deal until I got stuck in the elevator Cons: I was stuck in the elevator 3 weeks after moving in. It’s been out of service for 2 weekends however it doesn’t look repaired. Scary basement - don’t want to do laundry there. Would rather lug my crap outside. Advice to landlord: If your asking for 4x the rent as a salary you really need to deliver. I doubt many ppl in my building make that much however I do and unfortunately live in these circumstances.
