“Horrible, that's all i have to say. I've been living here for over a year and my a/c is still not fixed. It's flooded my apartment 3 times within the year. My property has been water damaged and management says they are not responsible for anything. My doors to my washer and dryer room still have not been replaced since i moved in. They are almost falling apart. I have a new born baby and the first night she came home, we had to spend the night at a hotel because they still hadn't fixed my unit from the flood. My electric bill came out to $300 because the A/C unit would not even cool down to 75. It was always running. Infested with roaches. I have asked for them to come extinguish, and all they do is throw white powder on the floor. I have 2 kids that play on the floor. I have been trying to reach corporate for months now and haven't got a response. I am currently talking to my lawyer to get to the bottom of this nonsense. I am positive many more residents are going through hassles but their voice is never heard. These apartments are close to falling apart. The streets have major holes which easily can be fixed but maintenance men are NOT certified.”
— 7703 SETON LAKE DR · HOUSTON“I hate these apartments. 7 months I've been here and I have no doors for my washer and dryer unit, it took them 2 months to fix my leaked toilet. I DON'T RECOMMEND LIVING HERE AT ALL.”
— 7703 SETON LAKE DR · HOUSTON“They need to upgrade their units BADDD.. Everything was okay wen I moved in except my AC didn't work properly, my husband's truck was broken into.. The winter time came and started to see MICE on my unit and from there I had to go. O lived here only 5 months”
— 7703 SETON LAKE DR · HOUSTON“Where do I even begin?! I've lived here for a year and a half now and this place is just plain awful. All of the bad reviews are very spot on and very TRUTHFUL (NOT WRITTEN BY OFFICE STAFF). The office staff is very rude and condescending. Especially the leasing agent, who has copped an attitude with me several times. If you don't like your job, find a new one! My car has been broken into 3 times in the course of living here. They don't fix ANYTHING here unless they absolutely have to. Apparently there are some not-so-clean people living here because of the very obvious roach problem. I am paying for reserved parking so that I may have the convenience of being able to have someone towed out of my spot if need-be BUT when I tried to call the towing company to have someone towed out of my spot, they told me that they can't tow for Seton Chase because of delinquencies on their account, meaning they didn't pay their bill... so why am I paying for a parking spot and where is my money going??? Speaking of parking, visitor parking is a NIGHTMARE. Upon moving in, there was black mold behind my toilet, and rather than fix the underlying problem, maintenance proceeded to try and paint over it until I stopped him and said that I am not going to allow a sub-par job to be done because I am extremely allergic to mold. Needless to say, it still took a few days for anyone to do anything about the actual problem. I had to wait two months for my apartment to be made ready... when I was given the keys, the manager told me the apartment was ready to move in.... WRONG! When I walked in just to take a look around, it was DISGUSTING... It had not been painted, there was nail polish on the wall/floor from previous resident, not to mention the dead roaches EVERYWHERE (the fridge, stove, dishwasher, you name it). NONE of the appliances worked and I went almost two weeks without a working stove. Let me not forget to mention the drugheads living here... while walking to my apartment from my car one night, a man told me he "had it all" if I was interested. THIS IS NOT A GOOD PLACE TO LIVE OR TO RAISE A FAMILY. Take your money somewhere else... don't waste it here!”
— 7703 SETON LAKE DR · HOUSTON“The management here is horrible they dont fix nothin if they do they wait for things to completely break befor they fix anything then u have to wait for them to order a part thats what thau always say ive been here almost 5 years and this property has went down not to mention hot water always going out and for hours at a time and also never have availaible parking I have to park across the street at the school theres only about 30 visitors parking cause they started rentin out visitors parking to make more money and pool always dirty they only clean it up when they have investers or owners are around I would not recommend these apts at all unless ur desperate cause they let anybody move in ive seen alot of things here seen an old man get robbed and beat up a couple of people have been robbed in the parkin lot the gates r never secure not to mention theres still a burnt up van still in the parkin lot thats been there for about 3 weeks now. Maintenance always riggin stuff and when office close they maint guys are always outside drinkin by the shop. The real manager is never there so the asst manager thinks he runs stuff. And I cant ever speak to the real manager like I said shess never ther and when she is shes always to busy to talk to her residents. Not to mention how its not fair that we have to split the water bill between other apartment to have about 6 or 7 guys living there or a family of 8-10 and verses a regular one bedroom that you only have one or two people in and we still have to split the water bill and hot water between all them which I don't think that's fair at all. That is an automatic fire hazzard but they dont care they jus want money so hopefully people do read these reviews this is not the property u wanna be at my apt is very small but high rent and bathroom is in the bedroom thats how small thank for aking the time to read this review. Hope it changes your mind to wanna live here dont let the apperance of the property fool u. Its looks good but its not”
— 7703 SETON LAKE DR · HOUSTON“Happy New Year to all , Hello I was online browsing apt. for my son he lives on the southeast side of Houston . I am just passing threw and wanted to read about my home resident Seton Chase apartments. I am amazed at what I am reading terrible just ridicouls how you read something that's not true at least I have not neither of my neighbors have notice any of these problems at Seton Chase. I have been here one year next Month and I am spoiled simply as that. Now I do stay inside and a lot of times I am in and out. This property Seton Chase is about family , love ,peace and fun times. Every household have there own Bar-be-que pits and we have a great time here , no harrassment attitudes from anyone. I am renewing my lease at the end of this Month for another year Praise God. There are children on the property mostly toddlers and they like to play but at al time there parents are with them. We have a nice pool that is open at all times . Very well kept on a daily basics pretty hard at times to keep the leaves from the trees out of the pool but ok with Me. The mailroom area is behind the office and I have never notice any gang sign anywhere around the mail area. The only thing I notice this week is the pot holes in the parking lot. The trucks coming in and out causes that , so Managerment fix that and we good much love. Managers are terrific they listen and everytime I have a write up for maintence it get fixed within one day always .There is no problem I can see at my home.I love my place ask Me !!!”
— 7703 SETON LAKE DR · HOUSTON“it has been a challange but not disappointed at all.......the managment has always been helpful and understanding i have not had any break ins at all i have lived here for 2 yrs now and so far i can say this ahs been the best place for us... compared to where i used to live this is an upgrade..... Thanks seton chase...... M.Cantu ur resident. "2013"”
— 7703 SETON LAKE DR · HOUSTON“my car has been keyed ever since i have been here, and getting worse. setting up an infrade camera to protect it until i can move out, which, can't come soon enough. nothing but a bunch of low life drug atticks live here. a very bad choice, if i ever made one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
— 7703 SETON LAKE DR · HOUSTON“All I can say is that the ac's always break, little kids pla in the electrical boxes, gangs have tagged the mailbox, and at one point there was even a sign posted warning tennants not to steal utilities or break in the mailboxes.....sooo yeah....its real here...thats why I moved”
— 7703 SETON LAKE DR · HOUSTON“Wow, really? you can tell who is dooing these comments. The mangers suck really bad and the previous review was right...there are alot of problems with theft esspeshially from the metro bus station next door...once the theeves leeve from there they come into the apartment to steal. then when you are driving into the apartments from bammel, if you slow down just enough you can see where the LRZ x13 gang done went and spraypainted the gang logo on the wall...Also as a Latino I am very sad to see this place take advantage of my people. One of the managers is a two-bit hustler from Brwonsville and la pinche juara that ia a leesing agent wants to play Latina but all she does is talk down to us and she lives here and the gate is always broken...don't live here..please.”
— 7703 SETON LAKE DR · HOUSTON“The parking is always a problem, constant car thefts/break-ins, not enough security, roaches and some of my neighbors complain of mice. People who don't even live here are always in the pool. Police is always in here looking for thiefs that broke into the metro parking lot cars next door. I'm waiting for my lease up and I'm out.”
— 7703 SETON LAKE DR · HOUSTON“These apartments are very nice:) I absoulutely love them. Just moved in a month ago. And I am a first time renter. So far so good. Everyone is friendly. Apartments are spacious with an awesome spacious patio. I don't regret moving here!!!! No bugs, Nothing wrong with the place. When i first moved in my toilet was broken we called down there, and they had it fixed within the next five minutes, so Great maintence:)”
— 7703 SETON LAKE DR · HOUSTON“I have lived here for 2 years and I enjoy it! The rent is very reasonable and I live close to my job. I'm so glad there is an alternate way to get to my work place if I ever have car problems. Another thing, my child can actually walk to school! There is a crossguard every morning to cross the kids to school. I could not be happier here. My life is so much easier.”
— 7703 SETON LAKE DR · HOUSTON“My husband had suffered a very seriouse accident and was going through therapy before we moved to Seton Chase. The staff in the office made him feel very welcomed and that was the moment I knew that this was the right place for us. I continue to work while my husband will no longer be in any condition to go back to work. I especially like living here because my family is well taken care of. Maintenance is attentive to our needs. We enjoy our comfort living!”
— 7703 SETON LAKE DR · HOUSTON“I would like to say that i enjoy the property with the helpfulness, professional and wonderful staff. I also like the assign parking, faxing, vacuum cleaner and other things that are offer her at Seton Chase apartments.”
— 7703 SETON LAKE DR · HOUSTON“As a 6 year resident at Seton Chase, I have met many neighbors. Most of my neighbors have been very friendly. Although I don't ask their residential status in the U.S.A., I know that just because you are not a US Citizen, it doesn't mean that you are here illegal. There are documents such as a Passport with a visa allowing people from several countries to come and reside here in the USA. It is unfortunate that some people are not well informed of these other types of documents approved by the USA for us. For the most part, I see that most of the people holding visa's, are very responsible. From the ones I know, they pay their rents and complete their leases. That is something very admirable and are for the most part of good moral character. Not to go without mentioning, we receive good service, have great security, and we live well at Seton Chase!”
— 7703 SETON LAKE DR · HOUSTON“The street here were bad we had pot wholes but thanks to the new staff in the office that we have now are pot wholes got fix so is safe to drive around our apartments now. I love living here at seton chase apts”
— 7703 SETON LAKE DR · HOUSTON“FIRST OF ALL!!!! The management rents mostly to Illegals....when I was outside barbecuing one day my drunk neighbor ------------------------- (while drunk out of his gourd) asked me if I knew where some girls were...I said no dude I'm married (Keep in mind I speak perfect Spanish) he said that his wife was in Mexico & he couldn't afford to pay the coyotes to bring her over when he came. he also told me that about 75% of his countrymen there were illegal just like him & that the property doesn't do credit checks or background checks...after an incoherent session of further ramblings, he passed out drunk on the side walk. Later my wife grew more concerned as more things started to happen like the incident with the yellow work van. These idiots tried to snatch my wife while I was walking with her from the mailbox. I had a sword cane that I was walking with for my bum leg for protection...when they started the cat calls I whipped it out and held my hands in the air like "whats up" and they decided to go back to their coronas. DONT MOVE HERE THIS ---- IS TRASH....OH YEAH EVERY TIME IT RAINS HARD THE LIGHTS GO OUT, PEOPLE STEAL ELECTRICITY & CABLE & --------------------- & ----- DONT GIVE A ---- ABOUT YOU UNLESS YOU'RE --------....(Their names sound like some ----------------------------------- huh?) I've also reported them to INS & ICE so I guess the Immigration truck will be coming through soon.”
— 7703 SETON LAKE DR · HOUSTON“We lived there for a year because we sign a new lease. But as soon as that lease was finished, we moved out so fast. It is the worst place to rent at. POTHOLES EVERYWHERE. It's really sad to see the potholes and they're being untouched by management. They repaint the parking lines which did not need to be repaint, but they CANNOT fix the potholes. Management there is unorganized. They changed about 3 times in one year. People throw beer bottles on the parking lot all the time, so watch out for your tires. My car got keyed so bad and security was not available until recently. But then they would stop having security for a month and hired again when people would complain. Parking is so bad because of all the people that park there when they do not even live there. This place had a shooting beginning of the year and all of the stuff. I do not think they even do background checks. If you got $500 to rent, go find somewhere else.”
— 7703 SETON LAKE DR · HOUSTON“My wife & I Lived here for 3 years & we really hated it. The back parking lot is a drag strip on Friday nights so Its a great place to bring your kids, get mugged, get drugs & watch some dude named Paco oogle 13 & 14 year old girls that are outside playing. Theres also the guys that steal electricity from your apartments & i even caught one trying to take the coil out of my AC unit. Oh & the management...well...THERE IS NONE...& they act as if they dont speak english. They steal your mail & things mysteriously dissappear when maintenance arrives to fix whatever is broken. (usually 5 years later). This place is great if your a roach....”
— 7703 SETON LAKE DR · HOUSTON“If you have $500-600 to spend on rent please find somewhere else with better management. I've been a resident for almost 2 years. Everything listed from the older review below is still accurate. The management has changed twice since I've been here and those pot holes they were speaking of have become craters in the parking lot. I didn't know this site allowed pictures, I will be back to post picture of what the property really looks like from the inside. The street view is nice, but after you enter the gate that is frequently jammed the apartments are not worth what they charge. The are not run down on the outside, the grass is cut every week so its nice but the sprinkler come on whenever the feel like it and block the sidewalks and entrances so your clothes, food, clean/dry laundry will be SOAKED. Not damp. The parking is not large enough for the residents who live there and I have had to park 5 buildings away from my apt when I get home from school at night for the past 2 years. Between 5pm and 12am there is ALWAYS someone outside using the parking lot as a club. These people block parking spaces and residents cars with their cars and blast their radios loudly. I'm 22 so I like to have fun as well, these people disrepect residents by blasting loud music outside the SMALL parking lot. These people also sit on your car and stairwell, pretend not to speak english when you tell them to move and leave GLASS beer bottles in front of your apt, car and broken in the street where THEIR children play. We pay our rent on time every month and we pay extra each month just in case of an emergency, so they owe us money. I filed a report with the Houston Apt. Association and the Better Business Bureau because I gave the rental office more than 3 weeks to fix each problem IN WRITTING each week in addition to phone calls and they refused to take action to fix them. Problems include: The hot water heaters broken for TWO MONTHS. No hot water to clean or bathe. A/C Vent broken. Dishwasher was broken. Closet shelf/rod broken. My closet rod fell down. They refused to fix it so my husband and I fixed it ourselves and put most of our stuff in storage and it STILL broke again. 5 weeks later they brough some extra screws to hold it up.”
— 7703 SETON LAKE DR · HOUSTON“After living here for one year I would recommend everyone to look elsewhere. These apartments have so many problems it's hard to know where to begin.
The many potholes that once lined the parking lot were filled in with cement which is slowly cracking and creating not only pot holes but giant rocks in the street.
My apartment leaks everytime it sprinkles outside and I have complained about this over 10 times only to have a maintanance person come by and stare at the problem and bring a fan to dry my carpet. THAT DOES NOT FIX THE LEAK!!
There is a party in the parking lot every weekend so no need to go to a bar or a club. Just step outside of your door and you will find groups of people drinking and playing their loud music.
The office staff is very ignorant and they don't ever help you with your problems. That is you can even find someone in the office.
The parking lot is way too small for the number of people who live in the apts. We have a two bedroom with 3 adults who each have jobs & therefore each need a car. We have to fight for a spot and sometimes end up parking on the opposite of the complex.
One last thing, the people who live here cannot drive. My car and my sister's car have both been hit on two seperate occasions by some idiot while parked. The office staff said that they were not responsible for damage to the vehicles and that we are parking in the parking lot at our own risk.
In other words if you are going to pay 500-600 dollars for an apartment GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!”
— 7703 SETON LAKE DR · HOUSTON“My husband and I lived at Seton Chase about 8 years ago and my car was stolen from the parking lot. At first it was a nice place, not pretty but quiet. We took a 6 months lease and even though I was not completely happy there we renewed it for another year because of the low rent and because we were never at home (and we had no kids at that time). That was a huge mistake!!!!!!!! It became impossible to live there. Lots of residents used to party a lot and the grounds were always dirty with beer cans and trash. It also became too noisy. But the worst thing was to deal with burglaries. In one month 15 apartments were broken and that was when my car was stolen. I moved out immediately!!!!!!!”
— 7703 SETON LAKE DR · HOUSTON“It's true what they say, you get what you pay for. But this is ridiculous! I filled my own pothole and tried to encourage other tenants but to no avail. The apt. ad should read: Need a hole to fill? We got em! Short on rats? We've got more than we can handle. Need ------ assistance? Stop by our office. We open late and close early. So make it fast! Need someone to not listen and not give a hoot? Again, stop by our office. We'll be glad to mistreat you!
You want shelter, buy a tent! It probably won't leak like my apartment does on those long, long, long rainy day or nights.”
— 7703 SETON LAKE DR · HOUSTON“I have lived here for a year and I want out. A year lease should only be a year and not a year and 4 months.

On two seperate occasions I have caught people going through my laundry.
I have had my car broken into but nothing stolen.
3 days out of each week the gate is broken. If you can't get in then you can't get out.
A washer waterline broke upstairs and leaked inside my apartment. All the maintaince guy did was paint over the stain. Now there is what appears to be black mold growing in the corner where it began to leak.
The boiler has been broken a total of 11 times. The time spanning without hot water or no water at all was from 2 hours-8 hours.
Getting large mail here is almost impossible. The office lost a package of mine and on several occasions I have had friends tell me that there package was sent back to them.
There are very LARGE pot holes from the entrance to the back of the apartments and no attempt to fix them.

The office staff appears to be nice to your face but when confronted with a problem with the complex it never seems to get done.

After about 3 weeks of living here I had to buy 2 cans of mase one to keep on me and one to keep in my apartment and a machete. I do not play around when it comes with my belongings or safety.”
