“I am a current resident at Old Farm Apartments and feel compelled to share a deeply disappointing experience that prospective tenants should be aware of. On June 30th, our unit sustained significant water damage due to a burst pipe in the apartment above us. The flooding affected our kitchen, hallway, ceilings, electrical outlets, and floor coverings. We immediately reported the issue and have since sent three formal emails over the past 22 days—all of which have gone completely unanswered. We are a family with a young child and a pregnant woman, currently living in unsafe and uncomfortable conditions. The kitchen and hall remain unusable, and the carpet padding was removed by the repair team, making it difficult and painful to walk in certain areas of the home. To make matters worse, we're running multiple fans continuously, which will result in higher electricity bills. Despite our repeated and reasonable requests, there has been no communication from management, no timeline for repairs, no temporary housing offered, and no discussion of rent adjustment or compensation. This lack of basic professionalism and tenant care is unacceptable. If you’re considering moving here, please know that responsiveness, accountability, and tenant well-being do not appear to be a priority for this management team.”
— 2500 OLD FARM RD · Houston“Unfortunately, the building has declined over the years (despite some efforts to improve), but the management's services fall short in many areas. For example, they charge $65 a month for unreliable internet, which forces me to pay for a separate, more affordable service to work from home without constant disruptions. They also charge $40 a month for trash pickup—something I could easily manage myself—but they refuse to remove it from the lease agreement. It feels like they’re more interested in profit than providing quality service. They stop giving you courtesy services such as cleaning your carpet or touching up the paint when you renew your lease. Whether it’s an internet outage, a hurricane, or a personal crisis, you're treated as just another rent check to them.”
“Horrible place to live, then when u move out they allocate all these charges that have already been paid for over 5 months!! If u love paying almost $200 for a 1 bedroom then move in. Gate is always broke, staff is rude, and so much more!!!! Please rats/mice run around late at night in the air ducts which is a human Hazzard and very sick!!!!”
— 2500 OLD FARM RD · Houston“This is the worst apartment complex to work with. First off they have a PAID trash pick up service so trash is always sitting outside the doors. So nasty. Second they never answer questions or service calls. Now we’ve moved out and left everything better than it was when we moved in and no one will answer us about the deposit. It’s been 3 months. One person at the cooperate company responded to an email saying check was in the mail the next day but it wasn’t. All other emails have gone unanswered. No one can help you always need to leave a message for them to talk to someone else. Unless you don’t want your deposit back don’t move here !!! Oh and don’t consider the community gated because the gates never work”
— 2500 OLD FARM RD · Houston“I am not saying that this is a bad apartment complex but our unit is definitely not worth the price it was being raised to which is one of the reasons we did not renew our lease. Understandable that maintenance is very short staff at the moment, however when your case gets assigned to someone and then they end up leaving, management doesn’t look at that or reassign the case until AFTER you have to go into the office. All of our fixes were very minor maybe taking 5-20 minutes at most. It took us up to almost a month with at one point no dryer and then changing the batteries on the automatic lock that we did not personally have the tools for to fix ourselves, or else we would have. The amenities in the apartment are old and extremely run down which is not even worth the price they are asking for. Don’t even get me started on the downstairs neighbors who blasted their music so loud that you could feel the vibrations through the floor of their bass system. I am all about having a great time but I also like to enjoy my Sundays where I don’t have to listen to music through the floor for multiple hours on end. Asked them multiple times to stop and management doesn’t do anything. The gates were broken for most of the time we lived here, which led to causing one of our cars getting broken into. The issues we have had with Old Farm is just not worth it and I am extremely glad to be moving out. Save your money and find better.”
— 2500 OLD FARM RD · Houston“I moved here a month ago had some issues in the apartment but nothing that couldn't be fixed it is a safe environment and the staff members are very nice people they are short on staff and maintenance but they are trying their best the only person I had an issue with is karla she gave me an extremely hard time over the phone my first month moving in I wasn't being able to pay online because the website was down somehow under my name and I was talking to her I asked her to speak with mrs. Ruth since you wasn't able to help me with anything at all she said Ruth won't answer your call and then she immediately hang up on me and transfer me to a different line as I was still talking I don't have any problems with her at all but I feel like she takes things personal so that makes her very unprofessional so I did go to the office and spoke to mrs. Ruth and she was able the fix the website for me with a snap of finger and not because she is the GM no but because she really wanted to help that's the difference,I also would like to give a lots of credit to Freddy A Sanchez he is one of the best maintenance I have ever seen truly very kind very patient extremely hard working man as he was working on my apartment I can tell that he is working from the heart even though he had to stay late 3 hours after the office closed and the other maintenance went home I want to say I truly appreciate his efforts and hard work.”
— 2500 OLD FARM RD · Houston“Very nice community. Great location. They have nice amenities I cannot wait to use. My leasing agent, Luz made everything smooth for me. She was very sweet and helpful. Definitely recommend to anyone searching for a new home.”
— 2500 OLD FARM RD · Houston“Nice wonderful community. The staff is great and pretty helpful. A lot of these reviews have very little truth to them. There is a process for everything and its difficult for some people in our society to comprehend that things take time and you can't have everything right now”
— 2500 OLD FARM RD · Houston“Dirty, noisy, clear lack of professionalism. They mostly speak Spanish so don't try to talk to a maintenance person in English, they will claim to not understand. I think they do understand but are faking because they would rather ride golf carts and be on the phone than work. I can't wait to move out. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND.”
— 2500 OLD FARM RD · Houston“I have never lived in an apartment complex where the noise level has been this high. You have young couples and younger tenants blasting music in their cars and out of their garages. Its like having a garage here is an open invitation for loud parties that stretch way into the night. This is especially annoying when you have small kids who are trying to get a good nights rest. There is no enforcement for nuisance laws from management either. This apartment complex is definitely not for families with kids who want some peace and quiet when they come home from a hard day of work and is more tailored to a younger crowds who have flashy cars, blast their music loud and have no consideration for others. I am out as soon as my lease is up.”
— 2500 OLD FARM RD · Houston“Everything went well my door is my concern the leasing agent Maria was very kind and professional and made my move in experience great. However I've explained my front door repeatedly to the residence office and they have not followed up with me about my front door.”
— 2500 OLD FARM RD · Houston“Noise - everywhere, stepping hard from upstairs, dogs, squirrel, children scream, music movie grounds - looks okay inside-outside, can't afford upgraded and can't complain. Safety - most of the parking space is empty but hold to charge residents, can't find any free parking after 9 pm, security sits in the car and occupies one of the space to tell residents to park outside or across the street. Neighborhood - convenient just not safe. Maintenance - reported animal (maybe squirrel or mouse) running sound above the ceiling, and got email resolved, and squirrel or mouse still inside the wall and ceiling running and drilling every day. Staff - except the one showed me the apt, everyone seems unhappy and ignore me, and there's one looked angry at me all the time, scared to go in the office. There're a lot of extra fees: service fee, pest, water, sewer, 2 trash fee, smart home service. I just paid $160 extra after rent.”
— 2500 OLD FARM RD · Houston“So far everything is good. Although there few security issues but overall the experience was nice. The resident service app doesn't work properly but the service provided so far is good and on time. There are issues with Rentcafe app though. Keeps on showing some fine amount.”
— 2500 OLD FARM RD · Houston“I feel this property like home. The location it's very convenience. My kids love to go out and play with others kids here. So far we have a really good experience. We are so grateful with Daisy (leasing staff). She helped and showed me the best apartment option for me and my family. If you are looking a safe place to live with kids, definitely this is a good option.”
— 2500 OLD FARM RD · Houston“It's a nice place, the area is very quite and safe. Easy to get around. When I moved in there was some issues I reported to the leasing office and yet nobody fixed it. I really like the community but the leasing staffs are not doing their job right.”
— 2500 OLD FARM RD · Houston“Staff is awesome. I feel safe in this community. Lots of diverse ethnicities live here peacefully. Excellent amenities. The resident events are a major plus. i look forward to living here for a long time.”
— 2500 OLD FARM RD · Houston“-----, who was my leasing agent, is a incredibly patient and sweet person. She was thoroughly informative while very kind and always wearing a smile. No matter how many doubts or questions, I may have had, she was there to help me a whole bunch. In terms of the property, it is a wonderful place, very peaceful, community. I am happy to call this place my home for several years to come”
— 2500 OLD FARM RD · Houston“It is a good complex, but there are some notes about, for example, where there is a racist population where a ------ woman was attacked by a -------- girl, where the -------- released her dog towards the ------ lady and the administration did not do anything to limit such abuses. There is a delay by the worker in responding to some matters related to the apartment.”
— 2500 OLD FARM RD · Houston“Great community, Lovely environment and energy. I felt great when moving in and can not wait to continue the blessings. The home is very cozy. Maintenance always on time. Community always clean everyone is friendly”
— 2500 OLD FARM RD · Houston“Community is nice and clean there are no vending machines and parking is kinda limited on my side of the complex but I haven't run into any issues with me not having a car but being next to the visitors spaces are nice”
— 2500 OLD FARM RD · Houston“Just moved in couple weeks ago. Everything fine for now. It's hard to call the leasing office you have to go there. Sometimes the residents app doesn't work, you call the leasing nobody answer, you have to go there”
— 2500 OLD FARM RD · Houston“I am worried for the roaches! That's crazy! The apartment is not in the best conditions, they just clean some areas and paint some areas, the dryer is not working 100%, the carpet smell bad, I can't use the kitchen because we have thousands roaches, I feel bad for that, My gate control doesn't work.”
— 2500 OLD FARM RD · Houston“The love is clean, secure, and close to public transportation, close to stores. The staff is very nice and helpful, but I think they need to hire more staff because they're slow, some repairs need to be fixed in my apartment since I moved, and now it's beating almost a week and it's not fixed yet, but in general I'm comfortable to live here”
