“I'm very pleased with the service here at The Bellfort. Maintenance fixes anything you report right away. I recommend these Apartments. Office personnel are very attentive and friendly. Swimming pools are always very kept clean.”

“The office personnel are very helpful! I have been here for 4 years and highly recommend these apartments! Officer Wiley and Cheuy are the best!! Maintenance come quick when you request them! I honestly am happy here”

“The grounds are always well kept, pools are always clean. Even though they only have them open during summer time, they keep them very clean throughout the year. I have 7 years in this apartments and honestly I am very happy here. the office staff are very helpful, I recommend Michelle. Very helpful and friendly.”

“Do not rent at this place. It’s full of illegals and drunks.maribel and the property manager is not professional at all .the whole team need to be place have no good . Amenities at and rodents is the norm for this place. It’s old and rundown. In the back is a bunch of vacancies from all the fires that rodents started from chewing on old maintenance crew is the worse patch up everything. Every weekend the hotwater is broken.”

“My daughter is a college student residing here in the apts, we were told when she signed her lease that during office hours she could park in the front parking spaces. My daughter car was towed during office hours, due to wrong information provided by Crystal the leasing agent and we incurred a $305.91 cost to get my daughter car from tow. I spoke with the office manager Marisol on 4/2 and sent her an email on 4/5/23 as instructed and she advised she would get with corporate office but refused to provide us corporate information. I have had to follow up several times as we have nothing back from her. I called on 4/26 and Marisol told me “Oh I forgot to get with corporate” I’m like what I sent you that email weeks ago, so she asked for a few more days. I called again this morning and she says oh corporate said they will not reimburse for it. I again asked for the corporate information so we may contact ourselves. She refused again and said she would forward my previous email from 4/5 to them and we then would be able to see the email address for corporate. Since getting off the phone with her she responded to the email not with corporate info as she said but just quoting the lease and that they would not cover the cost. It is against the law for apt complexes to not provide Corporate information when requested by a resident or customer. Also, my daughter apt is infested with roaches as I went to visit her over this past weekend. This place is disgusting and has hookers out at night right outside the complex walking the streets and my poor baby girl who just turned 19 yrs old has to deal with this until her lease is up. Do Not Rent here. Never again. And I’m still waiting on corporate information that I have been denied 3 times now!”

“These are some bsing --- apartments they take their time of fixing ---- …then them ugly --- rude --- women in the office have the nerves to act the way they act ----- y’all don’t even like fixing ---- in the damn units be patching ---- up covering up mold with paint then on top of that they racist if u ain’t -------- they gon treat you like below I don’t recommend these apartments at all TRUE REVIEW.”

“I don’t know who or what the people in the office have done to a tenant at The Bellfort’s but it’s been deaths after deaths. They found a dead body in the apartments that gotten burned down, then two different car wrecks and folks died in the bayou next to the leasing office. 3 fires within a year they’re remodeling as of now from the third fire. The manager is very rude and talk to the tenants like she’s ------, and her employees act like their her puppets. The maintenance guys are the only genuinely nice ones but they work them like dogs, and don’t think they give back deposits cause they don’t . They will lie to keep it and their hud apartments are nothing like the regular apartments. The security guard flirts with any woman that speaks and he feels he’s a cop. The Bellfort Apartments are not what they use to be like in the early 2000’s.”

“I can’t wait until my lease is over I have never live in an apartment. Where at 8:20 or 8:30 they lock the gate up as if you played in the movie lean on me, They have a major with prostitution’s on 8100 stone street, I have complaint and voice my concerns when you have a neighbor across the way that house’s the prostitution women off the street. It’s bad when you wake up to someone f**** in the am or giving head. This is a all day process for them, Another thing that I don’t understand is that you have security walking the premises with his flashlight shining into people windows at night I have never experience something like that in my life. My advice don’t move over here period!!! The management is bull ---- around here, like I said this b***needs to be closed down, before you move over here do a drive by at night if you think I’m bull S***you. They don’t fix s*** but patch s***up around here, you have to fear for your life . or take matter into your own hands around here period it!!!”

“I love this property they always keep the grounds clean and are always trying there hardest to keep the property free of strays, it's a especially a challenge because their are some residents that feed them And don't clean up after the mess, but management always stay on top of things like that and makes sure they stop. So I am extremely blessed to stay somewhere that cares enough to put a stop to the right type of things to better our living situations. Thank you Bellfort management!”

“I have been living here for 2 years and I am very happy. Management was very easy to work especially since I have a broken lease on my record and seemed like no one else was willing to work with me. When I first moved in I was very concerned about the safety of this complex. I live alone and I'm a single mother with a young child. On my first night of staying here I was greeted by the security officer at the gate named officer Wiley. He made sure that if there was anything I needed that I could come to him. 2 years later and officer Wiley has been at the gate every-single-night. From 9pm til the crack of dawn he is there. (except for the 2 weeks that he was on vacation that he so much deserves) Officer Wiley has been more reliable than my car. I have always felt like I could go with officer Wiley about anything and he would handle it as if I were family. I think part of me renewed my lease here knowing that there was someone here after office hours that cared so much about the tenants living here. He's made this apartment into Fort Knox. There was one occasion when I walked out to my car to go to the store and I saw officer Wiley standing nearby with a young lady. She had swiped my car and officer Wiley happened to be standing by. He made sure that she told us the truth and still wrote down the incident (even before we pulled up he had it already written down) and turned the report into the office. I don't know if I would've ever known about the incident had officer Wiley not been there. This man goes out of his way. I can not imagine what Bellfort Apartments would be like without him. Considering you see a lot drifters and ladies of the night walking. You can bet no one is getting past the gates with out an ID and visitor parking permit. I hope that this review reaches whoever it needs so that officer Wiley would get the recognition that he deserves, and for anyone worried about the safety of these apartments, as long as office Wiley is at the gate, you have nothing to worry about.”

“After living at Bellfort for 2 years I would not recommend a soul to live here. There are prostitutes walking a up and down the streets and standing near the gate to go into the complex. Water leaks from the ceiling in the bathroom every time the air condition would be on. My 2 year old son walked into the bathroom and slipped and fell. Thank god he didn't hit his head or get any kind of injury. There are bubbles in the wall, looks like water is in the walls. As I reported to the manager she had no care and it was never fixed. I had to break my lease and move out. They want entirely too much for rent and they do not do their job. There is only one staff that is professional. The manager doesn't care about the people that are there. DO NOT MOVE HERE. IT IS A WASTE OF YOUR MONEY AND NOT A PLACE FOR ANYONE TO LIVE. IF YOU EVER MOVE OUT TAKE PICTURES BECAUSE THEY WILL LIE AND CHARGE YOU.”

“Would not recommend.. this is worst complex to live for. Management sucks. I have been waiting to have holes in the walls fixed for weeks. When I moved in my oven was broken, garbage disposal was broken and the kitchen faucet was broken. I called the front office and reported on my inventory form and still this has not been fixed. The walls have water damage that has CLEARLY been painted over (doesn't look even halfway decent) I have escalated my concerns to corporate so hopefully things resolve soon. I've done my part. My bills are paid on time and my deposit was paid in full.”

“I have lived here for 1 year. Perhaps I am just lucky, but I cannot believe the reviews I see. I have not experienced or seen the rapes,robberies and murders described. The staff has been courteous and responsive to all my needs. But what irks me the most are the comments about security. I have found while speaking with fellow tenants, a great appreciation for our guard. What brings up the conversation is when I relate my personal experience. While he had always been courteous and professional, one morning I came out to find that my car would not start. Even though it was time for him to get off, he came to my rescue. He helped push my car out of the stall and boosted the battery, This was crucial because I had a doctors appointment where if you are late you are charged and rescheduled, I did not have time to wait for AAA On another occasion, when I arrived, he was preventing a wrecker driver from coming in to supposedly repossess a car. When you park inside, you can expect your car to be there the next morning. No place is perfect, and I am sure there are some people with legitimate concerns, but of all the apartments I have lived, I can truthfully say that there is not a more dedicated effort to provide security. All my visitors comment about having to have a reason to be here. Before you believe the negative reviews, come by and try to enter, Especially at night. Needless to say, I fully recommend living here.”

“This was the worst apartment I have ever been to. The management is very horrible. They do not care about the people in the apartment. The manager Mary is the worst ever and very disrespectful. All there worried about is the money. They give you fines for everything. They break into cars back here even with security. The management came to my apartment and just opened the door without knocking. I didn't have any clothes on. WORST APARTMENT EVER!!”

“The worse place to live,rude --- stuff and shady.DO NOT MOVE HERE...Damaged my items due to a leak in my apartment and now their trying to cover their own --- and not pay for my belongings. I have a baby the property manager refuses to move me to another unit due to my concerns of mold and mildew. I'm filling a lawsuit against them. I have actually photos to whom ever would like to see why I don't recommend you move into these apartments. I'll show them to anyone to prove my bad rating on these apartments email me at and I'll show you better than I can tell you. CANT WAIT TO MOVE FROM THIS HORRIBLE APARTMENT! DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE NOT EVEN MY WORSE ENEMY!!!!!!!!!”

“This is unfortunately the worst apartment I have ever lived in. There is a roach infection and unfortunately my neighbors very rude. I would advise anyone moving into these apartments do not move until unit 132. The Neighbors play their music literally until 5 or 6 o'clock in the morning and you can hear it all the way in the bedroom. I made several complaints and nothing was done. Also I've made several complaints about roaches and all I was told was they can have Pest Control come out. I have never had to use Pest Control in any Apartments this is how I know roaches is not a normal issue. In my opinion someone should not have to have Pest Control unfortunately I did.”

“I live in this community. I haven't had any problems my self, but after reading these comments in worried. I just renewed my lease and I'm seriously worried. Can someone give some insight on these allegations. From what I've experienced it's very well maintained... Also I keep my apartment clean so I don't have an issue with critters. I don't really keep up with neighbors or my surroundings so I maybe out of the loop on what happens around here. Does management have any type of security ???”

“I been living here for 5 years. My apartment for the most part been good. But this apartments are not safe at all, every month seems like something new happens. The parking lot is horrible, and they will try to tow you're car for any little reason! since I been here seen 3 dead people, cars, apartments getting broke into. Residents smoke weed outside likes its noting. Last month a 15 year girl got stabbed, coming from the mailbox. I'm happy I'm moving next month cause this place is not safe, no security at all.”

“Horrible place to live. One of my soon to be ex-neighbors has a disabled child. She was rolling him into her special needs van on 10/02/2015, when two men held her up and robbed her. WITH THE CHILD HALF WAY IN THE VAN!!!! This place is not safe at all. Crime is unbelievable at this place. The apartments are very well kept up but, there are lots of roaches on the property. Parking is horrid and I do not feel safe at all. I walk around ready to pepper spray people and that is just not the way to live. I USED to see HPD walking the property and driving around. I have not seen that in months. I have been there 4 years and I am breaking my lease and moving out ASAP. My family and my security is much more important than a broken lease. DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE YOU MAKE THE DECISION TO MOVE INTO THIS VERY, VERY UNSAFE PLACE.”

“Worst apartments I have ever lived in... There is a huge roach problem. I clean every night and yet find a party once I turn on the light. The people in the office are super rude and the manner what so ever. They state certain maintenance issues are out of their hands. My car has been damaged because parking is horrible. They don't communicate with the residents when maintenance will be done. I will not be renewing my contract or recommend any to move in!”

“I've lived here for 2 years now. And i would not recommend these apartments. Someone was trying to steal my rims on my suburban in told the office about it, they said they would have the security look after and walk around the premises, we'll that didn't help because my suburban was stolen 3 days later and it was never found. They didn't care to do anything about it. There are still cars here being vandalized and broken into tires and rims have been stolen all on one wknd. Apartments have been broken into by men pretending to be maintenance. My husband found a young kid sleeping in his van, I told the office, they didn't care. People , young kids smoke weed in the laundry rooms and just hang out in there, I no longer wash clothes here. Security sucks. The gates are always broken and stuck. Ppl just lean on the cars and someone dented my new car since I had to buy another one bc my other one was stolen. Parking sucks, they will tow ur car for any reason. I've never had a roach problem, the maintenance is good. They do keep the paper clean. But I would not recommend for anyone to live here. I'm always on the look out for my car at night.”

“I used to live here up until 6-30-15 i moved in on 1-1-14 my first week there i was outside in my balcony smoking a cigarette and saw a man getting shot twice in the head,, i was like WOW!! What a welcome to the neighborhood,,, iam aware that this type of crimes can happen anywhere,, i didn't have no issues with my apt,, i loved my apt,,#114 until because of family members got evicted, iam not mad because I know that they were doing there job! Maintenence are quick to come and fix and very polite,, office staff are very nice and understandable, thanks for putting up with me ??the parking yeah it's a hassle, but if you can make it home by 6pm you'll find a parking space,, other than that prepare to park far and walk, and don't forget to get ur parking sticker,, Hope ur stay is as good as mine was!! ??”

“I recently moved in and do not share negative opinions regarding the staff. I have to say that they have been very helpful from the very beginning. And want to point out that people from the office do listen to you and take care about your needs and suggestions whatever they could be they do what is in their hands. Up to know a real thumbs up.”

“I trully recommend this property I have been living within this complex for just 3 months and love it. I recently transferred from Heights (as my lease was almost up) and the process to become a tenant, was smooth and easy. The office staff are friendly and very easy to work with! Specifically, Isabel,and all nice ladies that work in leasing office they go above and beyond to help her residents and knows us by name. I feel safe and comfortable within the space; there were some issues with the front gate but there was communication from management regarding the issue and they shared what they planned to do to solve the problem. I really appreciated their transparency and communication. I feel the grounds are well maintained and maintenance responds to work orders in a timely fashion. “Worst place to live, no security, buildings are full of roaches, foundation is bad, water bill overcharged, killings, burglaries, rapes, and the people at the office just don't care, WORST PLACE TO LIVE, I'M GLAD I'M OUT THAT PLACE, RENT TO HIGH TO A PLACE THAT IS VERY UNSECURED!!!”
