“Despite all the other review's i believe the new management will turn this place around. I had to move in immediately and the office staff was very understanding and accommodating with my situation. I give the office 5 stars. The only issue i have is my patio has water and mud due to the new plumbing that needs to be fixed.”

( at random too so you could go do groceries and come back to a huge mess of water that smell like rotten eggs) The maintenance people never show up or even call before they do. They just walk in. Then Say there's nothing they can do! ( leaving YOU to hire someone out of pocket) The kids are mean and steal everything off your patios! The office staff is terrible! They never answer the phones. and always have an attitude when you go to pay rent or ask questions. The animals that roam are flea and tick infested and make home wherever they please. (Including your patio, which you then have to pay to get rid of) The walls are paper thin. And the parties go really late sometimes all night! The people look like hobos and this place always stinks! I WOULD NOT recommend anyone to live here! Its seriously unsanitary and disgusting!!!!”
— 2401 W Sam Houston Pkwy · Houston“I have been living here since March of 2013,and since then it took them 4 minths to get me a dishwasher, and fix my bathroom because it had no hot water. Its been 7months and i still have mold in my ac unit. Whenever i go to the office they dont send out mantince in a timely matter, i have been asking for 3 months for the people to cone and spray my house to get ride of roches and they have not yet, so i took it apone myself to spray my house and was told thats bot aloud. And my door knob broke at night and called emergency mantince and they never came out so i went to the office the next day and they was going to fix it, so i came home and found a knob screwed to my front door and no knob on the inside of my door so i have no way to open it from the inside. This is by far the worst place i could have ever picked to live at. The management here dose not do anything to help you, and mantince here doesn't exist.”
— 2401 W Sam Houston Pkwy · Houston“We have tried to get the ROACH and SPIDER INFESTATION dealt with since November and every time we spoke to the Leasing Specialist or her immediate superior they told us that when we resigned they would send someone. It wasn't until we spoke to the Manager that we were set up to get sprayed IN FEBRUARY. And even she was rude and fake. I know as soon as I left their office, they laughed together about me They "lost" my paperwork, and when my husband and I insisted on that being ridiculous they found it. I asked for my apartment to be locked by maintenance and they left it unlocked for 10 hours while I was at work, this was a week before the sent out a memo stating that there have been several break ins to cars and apartments. They may be nice when they are getting you to sign, but once you are in they are HORRIBLE. They will try to make you feel like an idiot and manipulate you and lie. You can't go in there with a question. You have to get it answered some where else and then take it to them as a demand. They will do anything to get out of doing something for you that is in their job description. When I asked for a new key they asked me why my husband didn't just make me a copy at Wal-mart. The tone of voice was offensive. The Manager has taught her girls that its okay to be rude to people, but they lack her talent for being fake, so they have a complete lack of tack and treat you like they are better than you. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL. Laundry room is horrible, most don't work or smell of mildew. They are slowly making improvements, but their rudeness makes it all for nothing.”

— 2401 W Sam Houston Pkwy · Houston“I have lived here since september 2010 and I must say if it wasn't for space, I would have stayed! The old management-isela was very good, took care of business. I had problems in my apartment and reported them to a maintanance guy, but he just shruggle and acted like he didn't care! When I told the manager- Isela, the next thing I know the maintenance guy was FIRED and a better one came aboard-Julio!! This new guy is so sweet, he would bend over backward to take care of your apartment! I have my assigned parking which is a plus!!! Now every good thing has it's bad side.. The water bill, I never understood it,. On my lease it states that I will be paying anywhere between 25 and 35 a month but to my surprise my bill comes to $120 a month to as low as $ 62 never $35! I complained but didn't get me anywhere! I will be out of here shortly but I will miss the convenience of freeway and the short distance to my job, with the new management coming in and a changed name to reserve apartment, I don't know what to expect in the future! Goodluck!”
— 2401 W Sam Houston Pkwy · Houston“Hi ya'll, this is the current resident of westway village and we're about to leave this place for good. After April 2011, we're done with this heavily populated with ---------. Westway will charge you about $45 average to $60 on a hot month for water/trash alone. Now can someone tell me why 1 bedroom with 2 people and a baby can use that much water and trash?! Hot damn, I am disgusted with the way this apartment is gouging people with supposedly "allocated average" for water bills coming from ISTA company (stupid, for-profit, eye-gouging) companion of westway village. Rent will run $469 for 1 bedroom, parking is an extra $30 a month, laundry room almost never works right, and people are eyeing your apartment for loots. And oh yea, did I mentioned $45-$60 for water/trash? Even if you use about $10 for your water/trash, you'd still get a bill from ISTA & westway for supposedly "allocated average" - this usually means they're draining your pocket with numbers pulling out from thin air. Oh, if you're on 1st floor - you'll be invaded by hordes of coachroaches. That's even after they sprayed your apartments 3 times over 2 months period! You will be watching these roaches dine on your kitchen every single night. Hmm, what else? Oh, this is an opinion of thank-you-gods-I-am-moving-out-of-here for good! Good luck on your stay with westway stupid village.”
— 2401 W Sam Houston Pkwy · Houston“Well they are really not that bad. Usually the staff here is pretty cool about addressing whatever concerns you may have.I think this place need a jacuzzi.”
— 2401 W Sam Houston Pkwy · Houston“The area has a very high crime rate and the parking is horrendous. The management seems like they mean well, but nothing gets done even when its hazardous. A lot of non english speaking rentors, which wouldn't be a problem if they knew how to drive (and not ram into your car with no insurance.) We didn't stay long and were able to break the lease because of a default by management, but if they hadn't made the mistake we might have been one of the lucky 'few' to have our car stollen and then be stabbed on the sidewalk (which happened right next to the complex a week after we moved in). The inside of the apartments are being redone and are quite lovely if only they were able to finish the revovations they start. As long as you put a few dead bolts on your door, bars on your windows, know how to speak spanish, and don't mind a few roaches in your silverwear drawer maybe this is the place for you. Oh and try to overlook the hanging exposed wires, shorts in your lights and those gang signs engraved in your balcony, but then again thats why they have insurance right?”
— 2401 W Sam Houston Pkwy · Houston“I lived in these apartments for a couple years. When I first moved in there were carpet stains, holes in the walls, and stains on the kitchen counter. Which they are blaming me for now that I moved out. There was also mildew on the utility room walls and I had to ask several times for them to clean the walls before they finally came. They didn't get around to it until about 6 months or more after I asked the first time. I got my apartment broken into and there were no doors broken/picked or windows broken etc. So hmm...sounds like they got in with a key. I also got my car broken into. Nothing was stolen out of it because we had no radio and nothing valuable in there, but still it was costly to fix. Roaches are a huge problem. Sometimes there is no parking. I have had to park all the way on the other side of the complex. That's a nusence when I get home late after work. Maintenance needs some work. The guys are rude sometimes. My dishwasher was leaking and I told them about it. You know what they said? "Oh, it's because you put too much soap in it. Why you put too much soap in?" 1) I put the same amount in as I always have and it didn't start doing that until recently! 2) The darn dishwasher is so old. My parents dishwasher is from 1994 and the one in this apartment is even older! It's time for a new one, oh, but no they pass the blame on me! Another time, they did some work in my utility room, which isn't a problem, except when they leave a huge mess on the floor! Lighting is not so bad, but once I was coming up the walk and I was carrying a lot of stuff and the shrub cut my leg as I walked by. Needed trimmed. Like they say...you get what you pay for.”
— 2401 W Sam Houston Pkwy · Houston“Parking is getting better and they have a police walking and driving around from time to time. I have not heard of any real criminal problems and the new manager is better.”
— 2401 W Sam Houston Pkwy · Houston“i like it here its calm u dont see people drinking outside or things like that there are roaches its just that u have to be clean from the begining and not leave food around but u do have to pay your rent on time or there will be a 75 dollar fee plus 10 dollars per day we were late once by to days and on the second day they told us we had to leave if we didnt pay that same day my husband had lost his job thats why then when we would go in there to ask quiestions seriously the receptionist would act rude but out of everything i like living here”
— 2401 W Sam Houston Pkwy · Houston“I LIKE THE APARTMENTS THEY ARE CALM WHEN U HAVE A ISSUE MATIENECE FIXES IT THERE ARE QUITE A FEW ROACHES BUT ITS A GOOD PLACE TO LIVE AT IF U HAVE KIDS”
— 2401 W Sam Houston Pkwy · Houston“This place is garbage. Here's what in store for you.... 1) Roaches are a problem. A big one. So if you like them crunching under your feet at night, have at it. 2) The hot water is always in flux (sometimes on sometimes not) - they seem to have a big problem with the boilers. 3) They don't respond to emergency maintenance issues so forget about calling them when you have one even if the recording on their phone system invites you to. 4) I asked them about renting a 2-bedroom apartment (I needed the extra bedroom for a home office) and they told me the 2-bedroom apartments were for 'families'. Discriminatory and illegal at the same time!!!! This is place is a -----hole.”
— 2401 W Sam Houston Pkwy · Houston“I give this place a great review. Everytime I go in there the office staff is very helpful and courteous. I must admit that I do go in there a lot with questions! I do have some problems with roaches but we do live in Houston people! Westway Village has a great program for pest control-I highly recommend you talk with them about that if you were not aware of this. As far as the manager there-she is always in that front office and answering phones when need be, I have no problem when I need to talk to her. The two girls are just as nice as can be and always trying to be helpful. I know that things get very busy in there but they do a great job-2 thumbs up-keep up the good work!”

— 2401 W Sam Houston Pkwy · Houston“Hello, I am posting this comment to let anyone who is considering this complex for their new residence to reconsider. We have only lived here a few months and today we did not have hot water again. This is the FOURTH time this has happened since we signed a lease two months ago. I called the Regional Manager to complain but she never called back. This is pretty much how the complex manager handles her calls as well (does not return her calls). I called to complain to the management company who is in Colorado and they gave me the name of their regional manager. Which turned out to be the incorrect information as well. I think I am going to have to stop calling and start writing letters. We have also had problems with our roof leaking. THINK BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO STAY HERE!!!”
— 2401 W Sam Houston Pkwy · Houston“I have been a resident for 2 years. I have seen my complex go through 3 on-site managers with their own ideas on what should or should not be rectified. When I first moved in, the 1st manager sent out a notice that for the period of 1 year the parking lot would incur repairs. I only saw one patch of cement go down. THEN, the manager was changed out (in the first two months I was here). Then, the second manager came around telling people to take down plants, etc., because they were ugly... I decided to inform this manager that my sidewalk flooded EVERYTIME it rained, (infront of my door it gets up to 4-inches of water even with a mild rain) her response to me was, "well that is why we offer free carpet cleaning!" What the hell? Nevermind the fact that my dog refuses to walk through it to pee, so she goes inside... This is infuriating because she is potty-trained otherwise. All I want is for her to slap down a bit of concrete on top of the sidewalk (an easy remedy for someone who is completely fed-up). The parking lot also floods 6-inches. On top of all of this, my building and my belongings are infested with cockroaches. I know that it is the whole building because when my bestfriend moved in upstairs, we left to go to wal-mart with the lights out... When we came back to the then empty apartment and flicked on the lights, the kitchen wall looked polka-dotted for a second then they all scattered (it had to be over 100 of them on that wall alone). Now in my apartment, I sucessfully got rid of them (so I thought) a month ago when I had my apartment baited (its a caulk) every week for 2 months straight. So, the treatment stopped and again INFESTED! On top of this, we have a "lighted" tennis court that has NEVER BEEN LIT. The parking lot is pot hole city and I have put in my 60-day notice, I am moving Feb 1st....
There is never any parking either.
My recommendation is that you should scope out and sign a lease on a rainy day because then you can see where the apartment floods...”
— 2401 W Sam Houston Pkwy · Houston“Needs better fences to prevent cars from crashing into front building. Needs more lighting. Also security.

A concerned resident.”
— 2401 W Sam Houston Pkwy · Houston“The old manager that was there was so awesome! She always helped out everyone. The new manager is nowhere to be seen. Never.
She let's one of the leasing ladies make almost all of the decisions. And if your not on her good side, then forget about ever getting any kind of help. It's been about three weeks since I called in a problem in my apt. and it has never been dealt with. They only start calling or bugging you when you owe money. Don't ever think on being late because that one leasing lady will get in your face and just talk bad about you. And will talk about others when late on their rents. The property is nice, very quiet and close to a lot of shopping centers, but the management is what sucks here! So, if you feel like dealing with unprofessional people. This is the place to live, other then that. I would not recommend it at all.”
