“The Southmore is perfectly situated in the Museum District, offering stunning views of the city. The property is beautifully maintained, and the management and staff are exceptional. We appreciate the convenient garage parking that allows us direct access to our units, and the valet service is fantastic. Being close to work adds to our comfort, and we truly feel welcomed, happy, and safe here.”

“My move-in experience was very fast and convenient, despite me moving in late at night. My apartment was beautiful and everything was maintained well. When I had questions shortly after moving in, a member of the leasing staff was easily contacted and answered my questions effectively. The valet service was also very helpful upon my move in. I was thankful for their assistance.”

“All staff including concierge are very kind and helpful. When I moved in, hurricane attacked and our apartment was damaged. But all staff was trying to do the best for every unit and could recover all issue in short term.”

“Overall, property is good. Noise level is perfect and mostly well kept in regards to cleaning common areas. Friendly staff and helpful when I have a request. A few areas of improvement: pool lights and grills. Last time I was in the pool, the pool lights were broken and floating in the pool. I submitted a ticket to fix grill so just waiting for them to be fixed.”

“I have lived here since 2019 and have developed a deep affection for the area. The building and its amenities are lovely, but I have encountered some challenges in the past two years. Thankfully, the manager has been able to address 98% of them. Knowing that the building and parking garage are secure brings me a sense of peace. Whenever something needs fixing, Stephanie is quick to take care of it. Security is my top priority, especially as a single woman living in a large city, the fourth largest in the country. It's difficult to consider leaving such a tranquil neighborhood with incredible views of the city's heart. Most residents here are either in the medical field or professionals. I can't stop thinking about David from the concierge and Mario from the valet. David has been here since I moved in, and Mario was very helpful and friendly. I can leave my car with valet, and they kindly help me with my groceries and bring everything up without any hassle. It makes me feel so special, like a princess. If you're looking for a place to call home in a bustling city but want it to feel like a tight-knit community with minimal noise and friendly professionals, then this top-notch high-rise building is where you want to be.”

“My experience has been good until the last year and a half, with issues such as weed smoke, noise, and break-ins. I moved to a different apartment frequently, and I still experience weed smoke sometimes. Also, the main concern is the loud noise from the elevator that is echoing through the apartment. Strangely, the noise started four months ago and has been getting louder every month.”

“All of the above describe my experience at The Southmore. I especially enjoy the proximity to Hermann Park and the museums and the mix of fellow residents from young professionals to retired folks. The manager is doing a great job of making sure this apartment building is a 5 star one.”

“Good but can always be better. The party room need to be checked before and after people use them. The ovens and warming trays were disgusting. The last time I used them. Need to continue to show ID we need to keep working on getting better.”

“Have lived here for almost 3 years now and keep renewing my lease for a reason. The level of luxury living for the price cannot be beat. Management and staff very friendly and responsive. A lot of them live here so they know the issues and care about fixing them. Have never had issues with repair requests. Love the amenities. Great view of downtown from the pool. Very pet friendly. Great location 10 minute walk to Hermann park, right next to metro which is easy to take downtown, and close to TMC so perfect for healthcare professionals working there.”

“We have been very happy over the past year. Stephanie has improved the quality of our experience tremendously. She handles stress very well, always pleasant and helpful, listens extremely well, very profesional-a lovely woman to have in her position. Her predecessor made living here unpleasant on a regular basis-”

“Great location and design. Good amenities. Interior care is poor (severely stained carpeting and tile in hallways has not been addressed for several years) and management communication is fair at best. Common areas are periodically cleaned but floors in and around elevators are often very dirty and no effort is made to respond even in areas visible to management on the first floor. Building has a history of significant water leak problems but recent modifications appear to have addressed the problems … finally. Time will tell. Common facility maintenance is poor, e.g., fourth floor freight elevator has not worked from parking garage for many many months and the response “ a part is on order” doesn’t sound sincere nor have updates been provided. On the other hand, responsiveness of maintenance to individual unit requests is excellent. Package delivery is chaotic. Storage area is not big enough and packages are occasionally lost with no way to trace an individual package receipt. Often all packages are not provided or packages for other tenants are handed to us. No Amazon locker. There is no regular newsletter, update from management, area news or tenant council. Although the building brags of apartments that can be rented for guest, there used to be eight and now there are only two, so they often are not available when you want them. We feel very secure in our apartment, but it is possible to move between floors using the the stairs undetected so we may be naive.. The elevators only go to assigned floors and we are in a high floor so a security breach is unlikely. There have been security issues in the parking garage and management has not clearly indicated what steps have been taken to correct them. I never see promised security in the the garage itself, and questions about the presence of cameras have never been answered. I don’t think they exist. Problems with overhead doors at the garage entrance often lead to them being left open, which creates a security concern on the valets are not present. The building has a lot of tenant turnover, and so it is hard to feel a sense of community, although there are several other long-term residents. High ratings are based on location and view from our apartment. They keep us here despite some concerns.”

“Love living at the Southmore! Convenient, beautiful, great mix of residents. The staff is super friendly and the manager is awesome. There are lots of amenities and planned events. Pet friendly. The communication is also excellent ~ whenever there are issues relating to the building.”

“The multiple water outages and power outages are extremely disruptive. It is a shame to pay such a premium in rent and not be able to live comfortably in your apartment. The Southmore is a lovely property with a great location and staff, but the outages are not worth it.”

“My biggest concern is lack of security… garage doors stay in disrepair and ‘up!’… anyone can get in - out of the garage and on to any floor through stairwell access. I have NEVER see any security monitoring who goes in- out when doors stay up.”

“It is a great diverse community although only marginally friendly. Apartments are well appointed and comfortable. The common spaces are nice - not sure if there are enough meeting areas. I've never used the pool or due to no dogs being allowed on the deck or on the 7th floor. The work out facility is nice and well equipped.”

“There are some nice people living here. I really do NOT enjoy the big dogs however & feel limits would be in order as to weight. Our Hall carpets should be shampooed & vacuumed more often. Elevator floors need more attention. Too much attention for cleaning is given ONLY to first & 7th floors!”

“We love this place. The ambiance is calm and elegant. The decor is fabulous with art around every corner. Our fellow residents are very classy and respectful community members. The view are lovely. Cherry on top - Great Staff!”
