“We asked the office management for maintenance . This management is new . It's been a week we called them in and there has been no response . Secondly the most unprofessional thing which happened during the new management change is that we deposited our rent from last 8 months on time and this month we deposited the same way in the box where they have asked us to deposit . They have been sending us notices to leave the apartment since they haven't got the money for rent . The level of unprofessionalism has exceeded !!!”
— 10800 CLAY RD · Houston“I am very very unsatisfied and feel that this was the worst decision ever. Shretha has been amazing since the day I met her and maybe she is the reason I believed this community would be exceptional but no. 1st I didn't get the apartment that I was initially promised, then when did get the keys to another apartment, It was dirty.. All of it.. I had to clean it myself and found human and pet hair on the floor. I gave the management a whole list of issues there were with the apartment and it took them more than 2 days to start working on it.. OH well my first impression upon becoming a resident to this place is horrible, I hope this will change in the future. Will update my review if it does.”
— 10800 CLAY RD · Houston“Excellent response for maintenance issues, routine, as in replacing a/c filters monthly or emergency repair(s) or follow up. In my opinion, the staff is caring and accommodating. Enjoy a quiet & well maintained community.”
— 10800 CLAY RD · Houston“It's a great place to live. Quite and convenient. I don't have any complaints and would recommend it to others. Spacious living space, I like having my own garage, the park next door is a plus.........”
— 10800 CLAY RD · Houston“I lived here for about a year now. I and my family love this place. Staff is extremely friendly, always looking for ways to make our stay comfortable. Very prompt in responding to maintenance. Very accomodating.”
— 10800 CLAY RD · Houston“UPDATED REVIEW! 10/30/2018 I WANT TO TAKE BACK MOST OF THE THINGS I SAID BECAUSE AT THE END OF THE DAY I JUMPED INTO CONCLUSIONS AND I WAS UPSET WHEN I WROTE THIS REVIEW. I WENT TO TALK TO THE MANAGER (Jill) AND SHE WAS VERY SORRY FOR WHAT HAD HAPPEN TO ME AND I WAS HELPED BY THEM IN ALL MATTERS! THE ONLY REASON I DONT GIVE A 5 STAR YET IS BECAUSE I WOULD LOVE FOR THEM TO HAVE SECURITY! BUT EVERYTHING ELSE IS PERFECT! Mrs. Shrestha is always very helpful and loving! (End of Update) PLEASE READ MY WHOLE REVIEW! YOU WILL THANK ME FOREVER! I used to live in other apartments that I payed way less and they were more secure than this! They had a security driving around the whole night but here they only have a courtesy constable that's only available when he has time! I've been living here for 10 days (yessss 10 days) and My car was broke into and they stole everything from my car and they even took the gate control ( imagine now the robbers can get in like if they were residents) I went to the office to see if they could help me w anything or to see if they had security cameras but Karen did not help me at all, she did not even show any type of empathy towards me, not even an "I'm sorry this happen to you"! I was not even done telling her about gate remote being stolen and she jumped into saying "I can't give you another one" unless I payed $100!! So imagine, i was robbed because they don't have ANY TYPE OF SECURITY and I still have to pay $100 to them! Trust me all the other reviewers are absolutely right!!!! I talked to 2 staff members and non of them tried to help me with anything! Karen said I could talk to Jill when she comes back from vacations but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get the same answer! 90% of the reviews have to do with security reasons and they still have not done anything about it!! I feel so scared that now I'm forced to have the best security system in my apartment and in my car! It feels like if I live in the most unsecured area in Houston ! Maybe that's why they are still breaking into cars because they don't do anything about it! I will definitely contact corporate office because it cant be possible that after all this reviews they still haven't done anything about it! If I see a change I'll make sure to post it here.”
— 10800 CLAY RD · Houston“Horrible experience beware of bait and switch the management is not competent or honest -------------- will take your money and change your terms i paid my fees and deposit 6 days later i was told my monthly rate would be $100.00 more. My request for a full refund was denied. Steer clear of this place and these people unless you enjoy lossing your time and hard earned money”
— 10800 CLAY RD · Houston“I've enjoyed my stay here..Parking has been my only concern but I have and will continue refer friends and family..I like the fact that you have to have a code to get in and out.I never had any problems with staff.Anytime I've voiced my opinion they contacted me in a timely manner and did what the could to resolve the problem..Overall I'm very happy renting here besides parking its a very nice complex”
— 10800 CLAY RD · Houston“I had personal concerns dealing with unpleasant situations before, specifically with some staff so I had to make a decision on whether to renew my Lease or not. My option to do this is very strained and limited because I am really not financially stable enough. I have no margin for none sensible decisions. A situation presented itself to make way for reparations. One of the Admin Staff extended her hand out to me and we had a brief discussion on what my situation is. She "personally" reacted and said, that may be addressed and endorsed this to the Manager. I had a really interesting conversation with the Manager and matters went deep, but the result was very positive. We want things to get resolved but not to get personally unbiased, fair enough to say that this is both ways, the residents, and the Management and staff. Accountability is important. I did renew. The manager said, we really want to make you feel, that this is home. Unbiased, grounded and true, that's the magic of excellent Customer Service Satisfaction.”
— 10800 CLAY RD · Houston“This apartment complex stops just a hair shy of being a H.U.D.-like / Section 8 community. Porters and groundskeepers are not on staff. I have literally seen a broken fishing pole on the ground in front of my building for 4 months. The ‘valet’ garbage is not optional and you are charged for it but the the service is subpar; most of your bagged garbage ends up in the hall. I complained to the office staff was told they don’t pick up garbage on the ground only what is bagged. Never mind that they tear the bags and dont pick up after themselves, the irony. There are simply not enough parking spaces for the number of u it’s on the property. The staffs response is that there are available spaces in the back of the property. If you get home after 3:30 pm, just head straight there because that is the only place you will find a spot. The office staff appears to be on site for the sole purpose of renting units and collecting rent, they will give you the runaround about anything that does not involve either of those things. The ‘maintenance’ staff are nothing of the sort. They are tinker fix-it men. I know we all know the difference between an actual technician capable of diagnosing and repairing faulty items in a home and being a guy with a screw driver and a guesser. The manager is unprofessional and not at all a customer service oriented person and sets the example to the rest of the staff and they follow suit. ROACHES are a HUGE issue. Just go on the other side of the YMCA and pay the additional $100 per month, you will NOT regret it.”
— 10800 CLAY RD · Houston“My experience with living in this apartment has been extremely poor from the administration office, maintenance and the support of the staff. Maintenance has fixed my refrigerator on multiple times. It almost like a quick fix and then one month later the same issue happens again. Same with my dish washer, I have been waiting for a dishwasher cap for the rinsing fluid since I moved into the apartment in July 2017. Administration: The site manager was extremely rude in tone and attitude during my initial interaction. It got to a point where I had to address her behavior. She corrected it and I have not had any issues since then but that is unacceptable for a front line manager who deals with customer. The staff is helpful for the most part but I do have an isolated incident recently where my apartment was broken into while i was away from home. The staff (Karen in particular) was extremely unhelpful and it was a bit disheartening from the lack of empathy. Though she expressed her condolences in my lost of material items, their staff has did very little to ensure this does not happen again. I will say maintenance did come over the following day to put a rod in my patio door. My door itself is still a bit unstable (another quick fix) and I feel extremely unsafe in my home with my son. I will say the community is beautiful and the front desk clerks are amazing to work with but that is washed away with the poor administration and the maintenance quick fix. I would not recommend this location for any young professional or professional at all especially if you top concerns are safety and customer service. The value you get for your money is not acceptable and I am highly disappointed. I hope to connect to their corporate office if at all possible”
— 10800 CLAY RD · Houston“It is close to the major freeways and quiet to some extent. The older lady in the office is very unprofessional! I will avoid her at all times. She cannot help me ever! Earnestine is a jewel and I know that is why many move here. I have contant noise above me, and nothing is done. I work, while apparently they (upstairs) don't! 10pm is cut off for noise, but apparently the tenants upstairs do not know this. Once lease is up, will debate if we stay or not. Paying over $1300 a month and can't get any peace i awful!!!!! But office and mamagemnt do not care about the tenants!”
— 10800 CLAY RD · Houston“Century Westway Apartments 10800 Clay Rd Houston, TX 77041 This is the worse complex I have ever lived in, the management team is a complete joke and rude (the old ladies need to retire and put people in there that care " not about their paycheck but about the community") The appliances are old and constantly breaking, the AC units are old, this is not an energy efficient complex. Please expect light bills over 300.00 a month. Maintenance is slow and does quick fix repairs and then they have to come out again for the same damn reason. People are always moving out and complaining about the office management staff and they are way over priced. ******DO NOT MOVE INTO THIS COMPLEX****** I am letting the locator that found this is to put them on the " F " rating chart.”

— 10800 CLAY RD · Houston“I moved in 1 month ago and I couldn't be happier. The sales consultant, Earnestine was so great to work with.”
— 10800 CLAY RD · Houston“I lived here for 2 years, the first day we got written up for moving in to loudly, seriously. The refundable pet deposit is non-refundable, even though my dog died 2 months into my lease. They keep every cent. They used my pet deposit to charge for everything when you move out of a unit. I got charged $2 a fan blade to clean it. Seriously?! I was pissed. I had already moved to another unit so i had another year. I moved in a week after my lease began at my new unit because i was on vacation, i walked into my apartment for the first time with a write up of noise complaint over the weekend. I immediately went to the office to tell them i hadn't even moved in yet! They said there was nothing they could do it was already on my record. I was so mad. Then I received another complaint 5 months later that my neighbors were complaining that my daughter and dog were loud and disruptive. I don't even have kids and my dog passed away a year ago! I tried talking to the Manager but she said she would have to write me up for these offenses even if they were not true. She said they would call me to let me know when my eviction would be scheduled!!! I was in shock! I was getting evicted for something that had nothing to do with me! Its quiet here but the fact that the management lets other tenants bully others out for reasons still unknown to me is horrible! I will never live here again or recommend anyone to live here.”
— 10800 CLAY RD · Houston“Well, last night, hit again at 1:43 am. This is the 32nd. time the police have been to this property in six months. Check out: This is the most unsafe property in the zip code. I don't recommend this property to anyone!”
— 10800 CLAY RD · Houston“VERY INSECURE PLACE... i paid 1300 a month for two bedroom apartment... u cant be late bc u will get charge 100 fee but when it comes to security this people r not doing anything.. our cars got broken into twice and one of them got stolen. People in the office just apologize. My lease is up very soon and im DEFINETLY not renewing.”
— 10800 CLAY RD · Houston“I live in a 2 bedroom with my daughter and I pay 1,400 a month and I can not believe the crime I see every night, being shot at and every week I am buying a new car window because management is the worst of worst you can ask for don't suck.”
— 10800 CLAY RD · Houston“I used to live here and still talk with old neighbors and can tell you the manager is the worst. If you go in to report anything, including the crime, she will get up in your face like she wants to street fight. Very unprofessional lady, if you can call her that. We moved due to the crime late last year when these same types of crimes were being committed. We spent hundreds of dollars to replace windows in cars in November. I guess it hasn't stopped. I feel bad for the people that still have to live there and they wont even relocate you on the property. This was not a step up for us. Just a place to become a victim.”
— 10800 CLAY RD · Houston“My neighbors apartment and several others were broken into and robbed. You would think with gated access they would know who did it but no. A car was also stolen. Now a person was shot at when he tried to stop a robbery. Do yourself a favor and find a safer place to live.”
— 10800 CLAY RD · Houston“I have lived in the complex for 3 months. I strongly recommend you look for a different complex. My reasons for renting here were I assumed that it would be quiet and well maintained. The office confirmed is was a very quiet complex and went on to cite how well they maintained the property. My issues are: - Very noisy complex. Beyond a neighbor who plays their music VERY loud, to which the complex does nothing (the cite a security officer but one does not exist), the people driving through race their cars up and down the driveway. See my notes under the Security item - it took the police coming to finally quiet the other tenant down. 45 mins. later they were right back at until 11:15PM. - Poor maintenance. We moved in with things broken - sliding door, storage room, microwave and dishwasher. It took repeated requests to have then attempt to fix the appliances. The microwave was fixed - the dishwasher was not. The maintenance man said the appliances were old and they could not be replaced. They did freshly paint the unit - as evidenced by all the paint spills on the floor. - Security. The entry gate is often left in the open position. I understand that when you have the usual coming home from work time but it will stay open in the mornings and weekends for hours at time. There is also supposedly a "courtesy" officer to address issues - noise, abandon cars (yes, we had one sit for 3 months until its alarm went off - we had to call the tow truck). We have called no less than 13 times (on 5 occasions) with absolutely no response. The message that is played when the call is answered is to leave a detailed message and your number for someone to call you back. Ironically the office's response when asked about the officer was they must have been on vacation and you should not expect a call back - if they are available they will address the issue. I guess the 5 occasions I called they must have been on vacation. The last dialog with the office was to call the police if the issue was not addressed. We did - they arrived very quickly but said their hands were tied - the lease agreement said there were no noise restrictions until after 10:00PM. If you decide to rent enjoy the very poor payment system put in place. If you want to pay online, it is a $20 fee and it does not all for recurring payments so you can auto pay. It says it does but it does not work. It also wouldn't hurt to keep the email that says you paid and walk over to the office the 1st day of the month it is open - for whatever reason the payment you make does not always seem to get recorded and they will charge a late fee even if you show you paid on time. Good luck.”
“I am a new resident here and I can honestly say.. "I Love It!". The complex is very nice with great landscaping. The apartment is very nice and quiet. I enjoy the adult feel of the complex. But mostly I want to point out my appreciation for Ms. Earnestine in the office. From day one I was treated with respect. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and honest. She has a quality that is rare in business (customer based) these days. If I haven't said it.."Thank You for everything Ms. Earnestine!". Like I said I am a new resident and can only review the things that I have experienced thus far. I cannot review the noise, safety or maintenance yet so I only gave 3 stars on those. I will give another when I am a little further into my lease, but I do anticipate a better review. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for convenience, comfort, and a great place to call home.”
— 10800 CLAY RD · Houston“Having been here almost a year, as we transition to Houston looking for a home to buy, I can say I will be sorry when the time comes to move on. It has been peaceful, we have a great view with the park next door, the pool and gym (open 24 hours) is great. Close to work (avoiding Houston traffic a plus), the highway and shops on Gessner and malls on I 10 - and good looking apartments inside. Neighbors have been pleasant - and I am sorry I did not get to know any but a couple. Life gets busy. Same as back home. The office folk have been pleasant, Ernestine in particular. I wish I have been able to drop by more often - pleasant to talk with, and the club house is a relaxing place. Again, life gets busy. Read of other apartments in the area, with their challenges with bugs, etc. - no issue here for us. It is more money than average, I think - more than what was advertised on the website. But, there may be some factors contributing to that which I do not remember. And again - it was nice and quiet. One thing I could see changing is the Valet trash. Did not use it - was more work to use it than to do it myself. And it is 25/month. Knew that going in, so no surprise. ATT as the internet provider - just an FYI - not as consistent as what we have from where we moved - but not sure what options one has, depending on the zip code. You do get to choose energy companies in Houston - completely new, and in a way too many choices, but, overall a good thing. Can at times hear neighbor walking upstairs. On occasion, waking up my wife. But was not common.”
