Ever since roscoe management took over greystar things are not luxury for the rent you pay for. Loud music when people work the next morning, always smells like marijuana, the staff is very rude and not helpful. Maintenance is horrible and good luck getting the nice blue pool. It's always green.

I have lived here over a year, since the complex was still fairly vacant. Yes, we did have problems with roaches in the trash areas/hallways, dog waste and trash left out in the hallways. But I thought the old management group did an excellent job of resolving these issues. Maintenance constantly picked up trash/waste after crappy residents and pest control sprayed the complex weekly. Conditions definitely improved. The old manager actually dealt with complaints and suggestions. The maintenance crew was fantastic. All my requests were dealt with the same day or next day. My only real problems were noise complaints. The courtesy officer does not deal with noise complaints. We have a new management company. We're on week 3 or 4 and there are roaches crawling all over the hallways, the trash chute is constantly overflowing and valet trash doesn't seem to be picking up trash. It's constantly left in bins overnight which only exacerbates the roach problem. I'm seeing baby roaches which is most definitely a sign of a full blown infestation. Management, if you're going to ignore the trash problem, at least spray some lysol and make sure the hallway fans are running 24/7 to mask the smell. (Yes, an apartment complex in HOUSTON does not have A/C in the hallways. It wasn't a big deal before but with the heat and trash smell it's terrible. ) The pools are a mess. Broken glass, vomit and trash everywhere. People who don't even live here throw pool parties almost every night. I don't mind people having parties, but this is ridiculous. I wanted to give this new management company the benefit of the doubt. They're understaffed and overwhelmed however it just gets worse with each day. If something doesn't change, I will break my lease which just renewed.

The slate is a great place to rest your head. Everyone is super nice and friendly. If you love dogs come live here! They have a dog park and doggie wash station. Dylan is a super star here very nice. Justin is a super star as well!

Is a very good community I hope continue the way !!! Well I can so much thinks but all depends what kind people wan have a better life in the community!!! Which I like stay more I want !!! If I have keep stay in I will do it no think a lot to decide!!

We just moved in and are still getting to know our new surroundings. Overall, it is comfortable to live in the community. The community is newly built and so it is good. There must be a place at every floor to deposit trash and just not leave them at hallway to be picked up. The trash left outside make the hallway smells.

We moved in without even seeing the property but Shelley made our transition from CA very smooth and out our mind at ease. We were very happy upon arrival. Our new place was very spacious and beautiful. So glad we picked The Slate for our new home!!

Overall satisfied with The Slate, its management, and maintenance team. The community has great events throughout the year, and the management team makes sure its residents take advantage of all the community's amenities. The community could improve on its cleanliness and security.

I have had a wonderful experience living at this community. The lease office personnel are very courteous; they often put on community events to help the residents get to know one another. I really enjoy the amenities and feel that the location is ideal for ease of access to many activities and fun.

The property is maintained well. Shelley and Dillon are extremely helpful, polite and informative. Noise from I10 can be am issue at times, but still a great community. The leasing process was easy. I would definitely recommend this property to friends and family!

They don't take preventive measures to make sure this place is safe. My neighbor just got broken into. I guarantee it's the freshly paroled line cooks that hang out behind the Dennys dumpster that praxtically sits in the front drive way. I'm getting out of this place asap!!! It's going down hill!!!
