I have shared feedback via several avenues including this survey, emails, other surveys, Google, Yelp and much more. In short, leasing staff is lazy and sloppy, leasing management is dismissive and rude, the property isn't well maintained and should not smell like urine 24/7, maintenance is laughable and I do not feel good about spending my money to rent here every month.

I have lived in the building for three years. It’s been the most enjoyable community. My loft is so well designed and maintenance is always prompt with any concern. I highly recommend it to friends all the time. Great place with great people.

I really enjoy living here. I travel for work sometimes and it feels good to come back home to the Rice when it's over. The apartment is cozy and I get compliments when I have guests over. Being an old building, there are sometimes external things that need to be maintained or replaced. Maintenance is pretty speedy.

Regarding maintenance, the light bulb in the entry to my bathroom was flashing when I turned it on--sometimes for 30 minutes before it stopped. I thought it was about to burn out and asked that it be replaced. It was not replaced. Now, it has burned out, so I will need to send in another request.

I really enjoy living at the rice!! There is a strong sense of community and it’s located in the center of downtown which is very convenient. The staff is very helpful and the building is beautiful and has a cool history!

Living at The Rice for the past 5 years, I couldn’t image living anywhere else. The staff, valet, concierge and the office are so kind and genuine, it feels like home! I have no plans of moving anytime soon. It’s a beautiful building with a beautiful staff.

I’ve really enjoyed living in this community. It feels comfortable and welcoming, and it truly feels like home. The atmosphere is positive, the neighbors are friendly, and overall it’s been a great place to live. I appreciate how well the community is maintained and how easy it is to feel settled here.

The staff is super sweet and accommodating, they helped me in a very timely matter. The amenities are also a big plus and absolutely what I was looking for, especially with the gym being open when I would need it.

It’s me and yeah I am singing the praises of the place I call home. It’s always important to have a sense of community with your neighbors and by hosting all inclusive events like the recent “Paint and Sip” we all get a little closer to one another. I could go on and on about how amazing the property is but I will spare you. If you are looking for an amazing sense of city living in downtown Houston no other property has the history, cultural diversity and security that Rice Apartments does. We are loyal Greystar tenants and have always felt a sense of personal appreciation from all they do to make us feel like we really are home!

Easily one of the best location in downtown. The amenities fantastic and nicely kept ! I enjoy coming home every day and feeling right at home. Johnny moreno made the process super enjoyable and easy. I highly recommend looking into making The Rice your forever home.
