have been for 6 months in this apartment, and i would express my feeling toward this apartment and employers. they will be nice in the begging but later you will be treated different. they tricked me for the unities because i paid more than my neighbors. Electrolytic turned off three times in midnight. They do not tell you that your leasing is approaching to end so that you could leave the apartment. the main reason that they kept me for more than three months even though i tried to leave them but i could not because no one would accept my application. my car's tires were stolen and the security was absent. there is no security because he is old man. they tricked my also when i wanted to leave by giving me two days free. however, i was shocked when I saw that two days were reduced from my deposit. In summary, I would not suggest international students and people do not know about law

I have had a very bad experience through out the year. I have applied for one year lease from Dec 13 to dec 14 but they mistype dec 13 to Jan 15 and when I pointout they said they will correct it but inspite of correcting to Dec 14 They write Dec 15 and said me that they have already correct it in the system.... the outcome is; be careful during lease agreement signing if you dare to opt harvest hill and you are International, otherwise you can be treated. The apt unit is old so never opt second floor specially when you have children otherwise neighbor complain always for the noise even you walk on the floor. transportation is very bad , no bus stop in front of the appt, and lightrail stop is around 1mile distance. Area and appt is not safe, be care ful during walking. No playing area in the community for children, very small swimming pool. I face a lot of problem during my stay there.

well maintained property. I've been here since summer of 2015 and the following are my observations. Pros: Great staff- Elias and Berenice are fantastic and are a great help with everything. Maintenance work is done very quickly The apartment is quite clean and the pool area/ grounds are well kept. The rent is low for the med ctr area... and the proximity to all Houston points of interest is nice. Cons: parking lots is crappy, but at least the big potholes are filled. No covered parking option, sadly. No W/D in units, sadly. But you get what you pay for; wash rooms are quite well kept. you want a breakdown of tenants by demographic? To my eyes, 25% White 20% Far Eastern Asian 20% African-American or African 10% --------/ South Central American 10% South Asian 10% MidEastern Asian 5% European If you can live with no w/d in unit, and you can live without covered parking, this is a great place to be and to save money.

I have been living here for the past two months and I know how hard apartment searching can be. I have looked at several places around here but I decided that Harvest Hill is the best choice for me, and I am so glad I am here. Yes, there are cons to everything you do in life, but the pros in living in these apartments make it worthwhile for me. It is in an EXCELLENT location (BEST place if this is your number one priority. And GREAT prices for BIG rooms and walk-in closets. I am a nursing student at a university at TMC and the bus shuttle pickup is a 3 minute walk and it has been so convenient for me since UT housing is right opposite. Lastly, my parents live far away and this is the first time I am living on my own. The staff is what makes this place the best. Bernice and Elias are like family to me now and are always there to help me out whenever I need anything. I would say, if you are living in Houston for school, this apartment complex is the right choice for you!

I lived at Harvest Hills for 3 months in summer 2015. Overall, it was a good experience and I would recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere affordable to live near the medical center. PROS: -Plenty of parking. -Staff I dealt with (Bernese in the office, a maintenance worker) was always very friendly and helpful. -I only had to put in one service request for a burnt out light bulb and it was taken care of within two hours. -When my plans changed, they allowed me to extend my lease by a week for a prorated rent without any hassle. -You get a pretty good amount of square footage for the money. -Decent water pressure. -AC works great. - I always felt safe. The immediate area is pretty low-crime and they have surveillance cameras/lights guarding the parking lot. The community is also completely gated. CONS: -Outdated finishes, but that didn't bother me and they do offer an 'update package' for an additional $50/mo. -Bugs. No roaches or huge spiders, but I did see a few tiny centipede-like things crawling on the walls during my time here. They're very slow and easy enough to kill with a paper towel. -Pot holes. They just had the parking lot patched up, but Cambridge and the surrounding streets are pretty rough. -I could hear my upstairs neighbor walking around, but such is apartment life. -They advertise as dog-friendly, but they only allow pups up to 25lbs. I had to leave my dog with my parents for the summer. Houston apartments are not very dog-friendly in general.

If I could rate a zero I would. The biggest problems with this complex are the horrific and incompetent management, the sorry state of the property, and the crime that seems to happen on El Paseo. Really the chief reason I decided to leave was the management. They couldn't do the move in application on their own, instead I had to do everything (call my old apartment, get my job to call them and tell them I work there for proof of employment). Retrospect these were warning signs, but I was pulled in by the cheap price. Only (thank God!) lived there seven months, but they lost my rent check (that cleared the bank), tried to evict me (when I had a $46 credit on my account), and tried to cheat me and make me pay two extra months of rent, when they never delivered a move out notice. And to top things off, they LIED about the reason I moved out in the first place and stated on their form that I moved because it was too expensive, disregarding the fact that the paper we wrote sad POOR MANAGEMENT. The manager was insane though, so I'm not surprised. I'll definitely be calling their corporate office again (first time was to file a lawsuit because they tried to charge me 2 months rent extra), just so they know the imbeciles working there. I just shook my head at the poor international student here before. I was fortunate enough to have a job and work with lawyers so I didn't pay them a dime. So if you think that management you can deal with, let's continue to the property. Holes in the parking lot, the sidewalks turn into lakes of water when it rains, the sink started to PEAL away, the bathroom counters as well. Huge spots on the walls were unpainted and I had to call them to fix it. Laundry facility is a joke. ANTS ANTS ANTS that came in through the bathroom! And of course the crime. UT is close by and I heard several times that robberies would happen at El Paseo and Cambridge. Please person reading this, please go somewhere else. You deserve so much better. Unless you have money to hire a lawyer, I wouldn't stay here again if you PAID me!

The worst place ever! We lived there for a not more than a week. First they showed the apartment that was available for us, but then when the time came, they gave us another apartment that was old and full of roaches. On top of that, the manager made us pay twice the rent in order to leave earlier, and we think she took advantage of us for being international students. I definitely do not recommend this place!!!

I have lived here for one year (Aug. 2013-Aug. 2014) and will to live here furthur. Pros: 1. Convenient location to Downtown, TMC, UH, Rice 2. Safe even walking at night and there are one security patroling and several video monitors around 3. Office agents are often nice and try to help solve problems (especially maintenance guy Charlie is very nice, responsible, and helpful) 4. Many TMC scholars and students live here and you can make friends 5. Clean in the daytime and quiet at night Cons: 1. Old apartments that some utilities (e.g. stove) need to be fixed 2. Water fee high (up to $70-75 each month for 2B2B) 3. No washer/dryer in unit We just renewed our lease for another year before we buy a new house. The office offered a free and complete carpet clean which is very good. All in all, the apartments is worthy for the rent and good choice for students.

This place is a nightmare. Why because you can hear your neighbor every time it goes to the bathroom. The water faucets are noisy I mean really noisy. This place is full of roaches. Swimming pool was always closed. The staff always tries to be nice but they are so unprofessional BAD place to live.
