This was a nice quiet apartment comples when I moved in. Then the construction staging site on the south side of the complex became active. Dust everywhere in my apartment, on my car in the air, very unhealthy. Trucks driving in reverse with the annoying beeping and dump trucks upending their loads and allowing the tailgates to clang uncontrolled against the back of the truck as the truck drivers drive around the site. These are the constant 24/7 noises you will have to put up with if you live on the south side of the complex. You will be lucky to get 1 or 2 hours of sleep before you are woken up by the loud clanging sound the dump trucks make. Most of the residents are nice and I've made several very good friends, however there are a few miserable people who make it their life mission to make everyone they come in contact with miserable living here. I avoid them whenever possible.

Honestly,there were a few things wanted to comment regarding this complex. In hindsight, most of the issues were probably not community specific to Stonewood. They could work on fulltime security and update the gym, but it is an older residence. In the End, it was a pretty decent place to live at for a couple of years. Having said that, the Management staff (--------------) we're always super helpful. ----, however, was consistantly rude.

I have lived here for 8 months and would recommend it. Parking late at night might mean a couple minutes walk if you live on the north side but plenty of parking on the south side. You can hear noise from cars driving over the bridge sometimes, but overall it's not too noticeable except in rush hour. Neighbors have been rarely noisy and the 3 times they have in 8 months calling the Houston noise police has been very effective. The grounds are well maintained and have more grass than some other downtown apartments which are increasingly more concrete and construction. The staff are often helpful. You can pay rent online which is convenient; I was out of town and had a problem with the website, but the staff took payment over the phone rather than give me a late charge. No apartment is perfect, but the front desk attitude of helpfulness led by Will has made it feel like home.

Awesome community to live and call home. Great floor plans and fabulous location!
