The end of February will be the end of my 13 month lease. I figured I'd write a review for someone considering this complex. When I first moved in Emmy and Tina were the managers. They were both extremely nice and were always there to help when I called or showed up needing something or asking a question. About 6 months ago, one day I go to the office and there is new management. The main manager seems nice but the other lady, well, she's got a stick up her but that she cant' seem to get out. Rude...for no reason!! Anyway, I live in the smallest unit offered which is only 600 square feet. I received a letter on my door that if I choose to renew my lease, my rent will be $775.00!!!!!!! This complex provided me peace of mind for mine and my little girl's safety, we never had problems with plumbing or anything but I will say that it is not worth that much. These are much older apartments and no way is the smallest unit worth $775.00/month. Just isn't. It's a shame because I wanted to stay here but I can't seem to bring myself to pay for something that isn't worth what it costs.

Having been a resident for years I am very unsettled by the huge drop in ratings for St. Gregory's Beach. It's been a long time since I visited apartmentratings.com so here is my honest review. Parking: Horrible. The lots are packed full and the your car will definitely be damaged from the cars parked inches away from each other. Safety: This was the main reason I loved living here. The private security guards really did an amazing job at keeping the property crime free.. Unfortunately, the front office has decided they cannot afford it anymore so as of 2014 the security guards are no longer here. Grounds: The grounds are maintained. Nothing special here. Shrubs and bushes and dog poop everywhere. Also the walkways through the complex are tiny making it awkward and difficult to get around. The pool and hot tub are the only reason I stay here. Unfortunately the pool is monitored by maintenance crew since the security guards left. Making the pool a place I rarely visit. On any day you can expect to see parties of people who don't live here occupying the pool, leaving no chairs or room. Neighborhood: The neighborhood's have nothing to do with the apartments. They are nice neighborhoods. I'm sure they don't like being located next to these apartments. Maintenance: There is definitely something wrong with the electrical wiring on this very old property. My power either surges or goes out for hours at a time every other day, so save your work often when using your computers or electronics. I have lived in both old and updated models on the property and see the same problems in both. I've personally never had a problem getting anything fixed when it needs it. However, I've heard from many residents that the maintenance goes into your apartment when you aren't there! One of my neighbors went as far as catching them on camera doing it! I work from home so I am always here thankfully. Noise: All day all I hear is the sounds upstairs and the shrieking water pipes from the neighbors around me. You can definitely tell the property is old. Staff: I have no idea who is ever in the front office anymore. They are replacing the managers and receptionist every 5 months it seems! This was not the case when I first moved in and this is the most obvious reason relating to the current poor status and ratings of the property. It's pathetic to see the prices of the apartments rise while the integrity of the management and the corporate office declines.

I really have loved the time I spent living here. There have been a few problems, however. The only problems are with the staff. There have been way too many managers in the year I have lived here and each displayed that they did not handle business well. I was told that a money order for $250 BOUNCED and I was going to be charged a $50 LATE FEE only to find out that the manager tried to deposit the money order twice...And I was almost punished...Good thing I'm not an idiot. The next manager questioned whether or not I had paid my pet deposit...Do they not have record of that and can't they look it up? The maintenance staff has come INTO my apartment several times WITHOUT permission and without my knowledge and they do not read work orders properly and will come into your home by "mistake". Without remorse. Get your own deadbolt so they can't intrude. There is a definite bias about what happens at the pool. Beware. Other people will have alcohol but you will be the one dealing with it. They've also given me packages labeled for my apartment that weren't mine and other residents complain about their packages. Luckily I am an honest person. Just last month, the last month of my lease when I was deciding while I had time if I wanted to renew or move, I got a letter on my door telling me how excited they were to renew and my new apartment price and I got very relaxed knowing I wouldn't have to do the apartment search....until a month later when it's almost too late to start looking when I received ANOTHER note stating that corporate has decided to not renew with us. Very confusing. And forget about referring someone for a reward. They'll string you along on that one. I'm still waiting....

my husband and I moved in here back in june 17th 2010 when Shelley was the property manager. for some reason they fired her earlier this year 2013 and ever since the apt has never been the same. the new manager nicole, emily and the latest one tina just dont know what they are doing, they are rude and prejudice, we have people who have been on property for 14 years moving out because of this, very unprofessional -------. you dont get to pay rent on the 3rd, its due on the first and if you dont pay on the first they charge you their soul called market rate which is almost doubled. we pay $560 per month and because we were late this december we got a bill for $838 whis is very ridiculous and if you cant pay they threaten you with eviction or letters saying you need to move out with immediate effect. haha this place is such a joke please dont move into this very old property. am just glad we are moving into a newer property this december and done with st Gregory beach after 3 and half years of renting. if you love yourself and family pls do yourself a favor and dont move here. they changed management every month now. this place sucks.
