I just moved to Houston and I searched for apartments for a very long time and found The Bordeaux! Michele (The Manager) responded to my e-mail right away when I inquired about the property and invited me to come tour community. In the quick time that I had to come tour while I was in town, she gave me a tour and ACTUALLY spent time with me to find out what I really wanted. Unlike the other places I went to see! The Bordeaux is very quiet, yet still feels like a non-tradtional apartment/condo feel! The maintainece staff was great too, in helping me with some little things when I moved in. Over all the price was perfect for the location!

I really loved living here. If you are on the fence on moving here, I can tell you that I have nothing but good things to say! The grounds are well kept, most of the people who live here are older professional adults and many have lived there for decades. I even met a lady who moved to another apartment, but ended up back at the Bordeaux. Plus, the complex only has 100 apartments, which makes a big difference, because its more of a community instead of a housing complex. The neighbors are nice and quiet and everyone respects each other. I really miss this place. Michele and Kara, the apartment managers are wonderful and gracious and are more like concierges, assisting you with whatever you may need. The rent may be a little expensive, however the quality of the place, how you are treated, and the location is priceless! It worked out! Hope this helps you!

I have to say that I am somewhat new to Houston and when I moved here I did not really know the importance of the location of your home. After living at the Bordeaux for almost a year, I have realized just how important it really is. Not only am I ten minutes from almost anything, but I love living in a beautiful and clean area. It seems like every community, neighborhood, and shopping area around me value the appearance of their yard, home, and street. And, there is nothing like being able to come home to a place with beautiful landscaping and old grandfather trees to help drown out the noise of this busy city. And, on top of the great location, it is actually affordable. The manager is one of the sweetest people I've ever met and the maintenance team is friendly and quick to take care of any issues. Overall, I think it is a great place to live. Feels just like home, sweet home.

Although the Bordeaux is an older property, it is a very well kept place. The maintenance staff are always around making sure that the grounds look nice, and even cleaning out the leaves from the pool several times a day to make sure that it looks great. We have a wood burning fireplace in our unit and separate air controls for each half of the apartment, which helps keep the electricity in check. The only small downside is that there's no washer dryer, just a laundry room, but that is part of the tradeoff of renting where the price is so competitive and affordable for this location. Yes, crime happens in the Galleria, but I always feel very comfortable especially with a small group of pleasant and approachable neighbors. We even had a neighbor help us move our couch and our desk up the stairs when we first got here, and we were amazed to have such a nice person living nearby. The floor is a little uneven as is the parking lot cement, but we have found that to be true in all older properties and townhomes in the area. As noted in other reviews, Michele is absolutely fantastic, very responsive, and knows us by name and remembers details that other managers would never even bother to remember. She treats us very well. Another plus is that only cats are allowed, which means no dog noise or waste to contend with.

I've lived at many apartments in Houston, and this one blows them all away. Michele, the manager, runs the office like a concierge, not a leasing office. The maintenance staff responds within hours of my calls, and my neighbors are great. It's a cute little community nestled in the middle of everything worth experiencing in Houston, but it feels like a private retreat. I have to move and I'm very sad, but I wanted to give this place the credit it deserves. If you rent here, you will not be disappointed!
