Where to begin? First of all this apartment complex looks very appealing to the eye. Well at least at first sight!! But I warn you don't be fooled by the nice paint on the walls, or by all the lies that you are being told as you are signing up to become a new tenant at this place! Let me give you the REAL scoop. What the manager tends to leave out in the FINE PRINT! These apartments are NOT safe!! There always seems to be a robbery! Yes your reading right. A robbery. So if you care to much for your children or possessions that you have worked so hard to have, moving in here is something you don't want to do. You might as well not even lock your doors and put a sign that says "moving sale, everything FREE!!". I'm sure your thinking it's okay there is management to deal with it! ha. SIKE. management doesn't care. She says that she will handle it or that she is working on it. But it's a LIE! Hmm maybe you don't believe me. Or maybe your thinking why should I believe this review. Well how about reading it in the newspaper? News reporters don't lie, do they? Click the link below and read another reason why these apartments are not safe. How about a shooting that started out on this property. You can read all about it by clicking this link below. http://www.houstontx.gov/police/nr/2011/jun/nr061511-4.htm http://www.myfoxhouston.com/dpp/news/local/110615-north-houston-apartment-complex-shootings Now just think... Is this a place where you want to live? I sure don't! That's why I MOVED out. And took my kids to a safer apartment complex! Now Management: At sign up, you may think oh what a nice lady! I cant wait to move in! ha. She's only nice when you first move in and then after she has turned you into a tenant she shows her ture colors. The manager is horrible to deal with she has the worst attitude. She talks to people with no respect. You'd think she has came from the ------! One day I walked in and it look like she was talking to an employee, but she wasn't talking! It was more like yelling. I can't believe how this lady has been employed this long! They really need to look into the manager and do something about it, because it just looks like people keep leaving because of her. And it's pointless to go in and try to talk to her because of the horrible attitude she has! So in conclusion if you tend to by pass this review as well as the news reports and become a tenant, let me be the first to congratulate you on the biggest mistake that you are making! Don't say that you weren't warned!! p.s. be sure to pack a bullet proof vest that way you are able to throw out the trash safely. And if you have kids pick them up some too that way they can play outside! Also, don't forget lock your car doors and your apartment doors because you never know when your the next target! Be prepared to handle the attitude from the manager! P.s. A great apartment facility begins at the core (management)! If the management office is horrible then believe you me, the apartment complex isn't any better!

EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS COMPLEX IS HORRIBLE!!!! FROM THE RACCOONS THAT FREELY WALK AROUND THE COMPLES TO THE AWEFUL EXCUSES FOR MANAGEMENT AND STAFF THE HAVE WORKING IN THE OFFICE. WE REACHED OUT TO MANAGEMENT BECAUSE OF A MOUSE (WHICH WE LATER FOUND OUT WAS MORE THAN ONE)IN THE APT. THEY FINALLY PLACED TRAPS DOWN(THAT DIDNT WORK). THEY ARENT WILLING TO GIVE ANY INFO ON WHO OWNS THEM OR ANY PHONE #S TO EXCALATE CONCERNS....SOUNDS LIKE THEY DONT WANT ANYONE TO KNOW THE SHABBY WAY THEY RUN THAT COMPLEX!!! SAVE YOURSELF .....KEEP LOOKIN!

The gates on these apartments are ALWAYS Broken. Then since there broken you see people that don't even live here going to use the pool. This is ridicules! Then they give you stickers so you can park in certain places this never went into affect. Then in the back of the apartments there's always people smoking weed and selling drugs and this is all the time and i don't see them trying to do nothing about this. Then these people are always jumping the fence. I don't know why they worry so much about doing background checks because I swear they don't do no kind of background checks. Most of the people that live here all smoke weed don't worry about there kids, the kids stay knocking on people's doors and then just leave. It's sad because honestly there nice apartments but they need to do something with these people in the apartments or hire security! Then it's pointless to go to the office and tell them something because you feel like you don't have no kind of privacy. When you say something to the office it's not for them to turn around and tell someone else oh ya this person in this apartment did this and that.

I have been here only a few months but this has been a nice place to stay. Everyone says this area is so bad but its been quiet so far. The manager Jamie is so kind and considerate of her tenets as a matter of fact we are having a blast at our pool party today and she holds a town hall meeting every Thursday. Plus the maintenance man Ruben is always very helpful and he gets the job done.

I stayed in one of the townhome style floorplans. EGH! This place was disgusting. I had a smell coming from my small a$$ kitchen. Had the fridge replaced and the smell was still there. Lived with it till the lease was UP! The summer and hot days were either just HOT or Turn my a/c unit on and be eaten alive by dust mites!! Had property clean air ducts. Whoever they paid to clean the ---- left glops of dust on my floor, door dust fingerprints ALL over the walls and air vents. And I still lived with dust mites eating me alive whenveer I turned the a/c unit on. HORRIBLE dirty place! Step outside my door, u smell CAT POO!! There's one evil white n orangedirty, scruffy cat...big nuts and he shits everyday outside in my yard..let alone the other tenets have dogs who ---- anywhre n everywhere! PARKING!? U better off jus pullin in Food World Lot n hoppin the wall...and ur other neighbors..forget it! A bunch of ugly brauds and thugs with they ol lady or momma........and the rest r old school who wont leave Greenspoint! Plus, the gangsta wannabes would stand they no-job havin selfs outside n smoke...all day...and neighorbors having sex with louds moans and police were heard and seen often. Bright side there is a nice trail/park to get eatin by bugs if your lucky! Hope to see u soon! Don't ask for assistence in your apt....MAAAAAAAINTENANCE!!!

Not 2 days after I posted my review about how wonderful Durham was (despite all the drama I went through there), my apartment was broken into for the second time! I used to have peace of mind thinking I had a REAL alarm, but soon found out it is just a noise maker. My patio door was kicked in at 9:07 AM, the first time it was my front door. The first time I was burglarized, the manager's negligence in not calling to get my alarm repaired (for 3 months)was at fault. It really didn't make a difference because this time the dummy alarm worked, but no police showed up. You get a phone call and the siren cuts off in 4 minutes, giving the thieves ample time to steal your possessions without waking the neighbors. Since I lived there, my money order for my rent was stolen from the night drop (was not secure), I had to pay even though I found the woman who stole it and pressed charges. My car was broken into twice-even though I paid for cover parking to be closer to my door they would break in early mornings. I once counted 7 cars who'd been broken into in one day! The tenants paying for parking were the only targets! You HAVE to pay for parking or else you won't have a spot when you come in from work since some tenants use the parking lot as their personal mechanic shop and have up to 5-6 junk cars on the premises. On 4/16 my apartment was broken into, and I moved out that night. I did not feel safe since someone had the nerve to break in early in the AM as NORMAL people move around to start their day at work. You call HPD to file a police report and they seem more engaged in your home decor than the actual crime scene since this break in is nothing compared to all of the illegal activities in crime-ridden Greenspoint. I swear, there have been 2 cops parked in unmarked cars in the parking lot at night since Thanksgiving. They are staked out looking for a murder suspect, heard from a cop myself when I asked if they were security hired by the complex. More often than none, I'd hear brawls right outside my door from drunk tenants screaming "that they're on parole" and don't want to get caught up and go to jail. A crackhead once knocked on my door at 2AM trying to coerce me to open the door for him "because someone was breaking into my car". Luckily one of my neighbor's had given me the heads up on that scam already because he tried it on her (failed attempt) I can honestly say, that EVERY bad thing that could happen to someone happened to me. There was not much left that could happen and I wasn't sticking around to find out.

You have to stay on the office personal about repairs, they chained the gate near the bus stop but all the other walk in gates are opened. And when I asked them about the gate, they say its to keep crime down and when I asked why its the only gate chain out of 3 they say maybe because the bus stop is right there but upper managemnet will not allow that gate to be unchained. The drive through gate breaks down and you get locked out and they say management will assist 24 hours a day but I assume thats not an emergency; when you have to park on the other side of the apartments and walk to your apartment in poor lighting. The lighting can be better throghout the apartments. They will put notices on your door when your late on rent or do not pay you water bill but when you write them a letter for repairs they take forever fixing it.Its was big mistake and im counting my days down to NEVER RETURN!!! People park horribly and visitors park wherever open and the price is not worth it, when someone will still park in your assigned parking spot. Most of the maintence that was recently hired don't speak english well so explaining to them your maintence issues can be difficult because of the language barrior.
