i tried calling several times and no one would pick up. Finally someone answered on my 11th call and took my number to call me back. Four hours later and i still have no call back. With this type of service i rather not live here! Parking is a joke too!

I have lived at Canterbury going on 2 years. My lease is coming up for renewal soon so I thought I would look around and see what's out there before I signed a new lease. And from what I can see this is the nicest property in this general area. With the best prices for the quality of management and apartments you get. I dont want to move "just to get a special" because I figured if someone is offering a "special" that pretty much means they need you ! So after checking out what's out there to offer I'm staying put. I like it here ! It's small and quiet.

I am a resident here and I must say my vehicle was towed as well and after speaking to management they say they can do nothing. I am shocked that a tow company can do this with out any warnings and management company acting this way. This is not right and should be changed. I am to out raged and will be filing as the other person an Houston Apartment Association (HAA) and after looking up who and what they do I encourage everyone to do the same that has been towed previously or having issues with this apartment management. Parking is horrible here!!!

This complex has many problems, SMI Property Management does not care about their tenants they care for more for the dollar than for you. I have read all the reviews and totally agree with all that they are complaining about. I have read their policies and the person is correct. The number 2 and number 9 and they tow for only number 9 and not for number 2 something is wrong with this picture. In my experience you are not able to pick and choose a policy in writing and that you sign for that you are going to tow for. They need to do this accross the board for all policies 1-9 and not for a selected few and I feel sorry for that person because this is not right and Canterbury Court and SMI Property Management should be ashamed of themselves. I have moved my sticker to the back of my rear window so there is not any issues with my vehicle being towed. I agree that a warning system needs to be in place and not just simply to tow. I agree with the hot water situation it is bad here and the parking for guest is not right and the person is very much correct. I do not know on how many of my friends through the years that I have lived here just will not visit because of the parking here and you need to walk to let them in or to let them out, the way that it is ran is like being in prison here. SMI we are not in prison get something done about this situation and I too agree with the towing situation this type of practice needs to stop now. We should form a apartment association for all residents here to sign a letter to stop this type of practice with the towing company and SMI Management.

Parking is horrible here at Canterbury Court their is very few paring spaces for guest and many for the residents 10 to 1. Towing here is wrong without any warnings they simply tow your car and the front office is not on your side but simply and most likely in bed with the towing company with kickbacks. (simply my opinion) I look through when I come home from work and there are many spaces left over for the residents but not for guest or your guest car gets towed or they have to park very far away which leads to them simply not coming to stay with you. Also not having hot water alone in the month of November there were at least 3 to 4 times without hot water and when you call the office you get well we are working on it. This has been going on for years. Finally, I agree when you do have visitors for a couple of hours you have to go to the front gate to let them in or they can not find parking and they just simply leave. This is unacceptable and changes need to be made.
