I wish to express that I receive excellent service at the office here. It is one of the finer features of Canterbury Court. Carmen Miranda Apt. 95

what can I say Canterbury it's a very private property.I moved from the Galleria area, where they were breaking into of apartments and cars. I've been a resident at Canterbury for two half years. I have nothing but great things to say about Canterbury and the staff here they have treated me so great!! They been so polite and when I walk into the office they are always smiling!! also the service awesome..!

I lived there for 1 year. This has been THE WORST residential experience of my life. Where do I start...the AC/Heater broke down approximately 7 times (once in the winter took about 1 week to "fix", once in the summer still about 1 week to "fix"....it still broke again after these repairs. Asked them multiple times not to enter my home for maintenance purposes without telling me first (due to 2 pets in the home)...they entered anyway - Even telling me once that they didn't enter, but the maintenance man left his keys in my house. ROACHES EVERYWHERE - have pictures and video to prove it. They come out day and night and are not scared of you or anything else - all types of roaches (in the kitchen, living room, dining room, bathroom, bedroom -never saw them in the closet or outside). Roach droppings everywhere (even in dishwasher). Maintenance guys came in with dirt on their shoes and walked it in my apartment. Water trickles out of the shower head and runs boiling hot to cold while you're trying to shower (sometimes water is brown or white depending on what temperature - wouldn't drink it). They say they have breed restrictions on their dogs, but my neighbor down stairs had a chow or chow mix - which I found on every aggressive dog breed list that I looked at. The dog would come after my 12 pound dog and even jumped on me to get my dog. I complained - but of course the neighbor just got a warning and was told to control her dog (which in my opinion, she couldn't). There are squirrels living in the attic - making noise all day and sometimes at night and the poop on the railings. My dog had the worst flee problem when living there (even with flee meds and baths almost daily). Residents don't pick up after their dogs and there's poop everywhere (even on the sidewalks - which is hardly ever cleaned up). Residents also drop trash and mail everywhere. There's broken glass in the parking area. They did a huge parking renovation in December and January (leaving residents little to no parking - some people parked on the street (I saw what looked to be tickets on their vehicles one morning). Less than 2 months after the renovations - the parking lot looks the same (craters, cracks etc). After the first few months I never saw the night security people anymore and things started really going down hill. Security and night lights going out without being replaced. Residents getting loud and drunk and waking me up in the middle of the night. I had to call the police on my neighbor once because his girlfriend was screaming bloody murder. The trash cans are full and overflowing in a matter of days - and the stench is horrible. My lease agreement says my deposit and/or itemized list of fees will be mailed to me within 30 days of move out - it's been 44 days and counting and no money. You couldn't pay me to move back to that place and I wouldn't even recommend it to my worst enemy. I don't feel that anyone should have to live this way....it's just not worth it.

So I was gonna write a good review untill I met that guy at the front desk. He's so rude that he shouldn't even be dealing with humans. I'm a doctor and I was doing some training at NMH. I stayed for a month over there, when I arrived at the apartment there were no bed sheets, pillows, hangers, anything really. Just a bed with a mattress and the bathroom. So I bought all the other stuff and paid a good amount of money for it actually. Before I leave, I spent 6 hours cleaning my apartment, then I just couldn't throw all that stuff I bought and I thought it would be really nice if I gave it to the staff so that they can offer it to future tenants as a complement. I didn't stay home much so I never used any of the utinsils I bought. I washed the sheets in the machine and went out of my way to buy a luggage bag and fill it with the stuff so that I can give it to them in a neat way. Now here I am checking out and offering this bag with a smile and the guy's response was "Hey this is not a trash house, get your crap off the premises". Seriously I never expected to hear that and honestly I was shocked, so I said "Sir I wanted to make a nice gesture for you guys and hence for your future tenants, and that's not a respectable way or response.." He didn't even let me complete the sentence and shouted "I'm telling you to take your trash with you or I'm calling 911". I went out not believing how did they hire that guy, and I ended up leaving the bag for the homeless. Another thing worth mentioning is that you'll never get a quiet night sleep. A street full of bars next to it and basically you're staying with them. Frankly a place that hires such people can never be recommended not even deserve a 1 star.

these apartments are too expensive for the can of sardines they really are....way too small...the manager (Alicia) is a total narcissistic woman....and stingy and not to mention nosy ...my car got broken into as well as some other cars ...and management did nothing, instead sent a note saying they weren't responsible and refused to hire security.....every year you re-new contract the rent goes up 20 dollars....in conclusion folks...I can assure you that you can certainly find a better flat for the price this joint is asking for...

I cant wait to move out!!! I hate it I have been living here for one year. The lights have gone out like 4X since I have lived here. It always takes them more than a day to fix (Once it took 4 days!!)and they wouldnt lower the rent or anything. I always ended up throwing away all of my food and its never they're problem. Roaches everywhere!! Parking is horrible my car has been towed once and my visitors car once too. Not worth it!

The two ladies in the office are B***h's. They stick their nose in business where it doesn't belong. They treat this place like it is some luxury high rise. I mean come on, this place is a dump. I do admit it is the nicest looking complex on the street but it is pretty ------ on our street. I've been dealing with a roach infestation since day one. If I wouldn't hate moving so much I'd move when my six months is up but it seems like I just moved in. I birds I will wait and see how much these two ladies pet into my business. They attack me everyone I walk in the front gate or in front of the office. Annoyed!!!! And by the way. The sign that advertises hard wood floors is false advertising. It is vinal floor that you pay 50 extra dollars a month for. I guess it is better than the nasty carpet that was in here.
