I’ve lived here over 2 years. The first 2 years were great. Neighbors were friendly and complex was super quiet. It has gone completely downhill lately. They are letting loud obnoxious people move in. If you love the smell of weed, this is the place for you. Love incredibly aggressive dogs that make you fear for your safety? This is the place for you! Want a pool with holes all in the plaster and no efforts to fix it? This is the place for you! Want a management team that totally dismisses any concerns you have? Move on in!! It is not worth the money at all. There are terrible amenities compared to other properties in the area. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere!!! I cannot wait to move out of here.

Maybe the management has been more actively telling the dog owners to stop the gddmn dogs from barking because we recently had one weekend with less barking than usual (Sep. 10-11). Other than that you will have random dogs that start barking at 5:30-6:00 AM and usually don't stop until late night. You will definitely wake up with dogs barking every morning and go to sleep with it too. I'm not talking about just one yap...it's on! Good luck to you if you had a late night at work and want to sleep in the next day. I've had many days where I have to work under very few hours of sleep. People who are walking their dogs before they go to work will do nothing to stop them, same at night. Forget about having a quiet morning and enjoying your breakfast before you go to work or an easy relaxed evening at home after a busy day. Weekend or middle of the week doesn't matter, it's simply not going to happen. Not sure what the management can do but this is out of control. I've lived in several apartments before and never experienced anything close to this. On the good side, they respond quickly when something needs repairing and they keep the place tidy, also, I have yet to see a single roach.

From Richard & Kim: It is with heavy hearts that we have left The Inverness, after four memorable years, for the "suburbs" in another city. I continue to believe that The Inverness is the best apartment community in Houston, and it is the consequence of several things that make it so. As an example, during almost two years of lockdown resulting from the pandemic, we did not have one single maintenance issue arise. The property is maintained so well, nothing seems to break down, everything works as it is supposed to, and if any concerns do arise or need attention, the staff is on it and---problem solved immediately. Much praise is due to Juan, Margot, Jose and Leo for their unfailing ability to keep everything running well; to be free to never question their expertise and knowledge is a luxury in and of itself---and that kind of confidence affords a comfort level little else can match, when the subject is the place you call home. Krysten, Luciano, and Alisia run the leasing office at The Inverness. Once again, in four years residing there, we did not have a single complaint or issue arise. I have e-mailed the leasing office for one reason or another during non-business hours, and then received an informative, proactive response before the office is even open the next morning. I've called when everyone else in Houston seems to be working from home, and found that my call gets answered/action is taken/my questions resolved by Krysten, Luciano or Alisia--- who are actually in the leasing office, working, there on-site for the purpose of assisting us, the residents. These administrative tasks are accomplished in a professional and effective way, absolutely, but what makes all the difference is that Krysten and her staff are supportive, warm, and basically the kind of people you'd be inclined to say are your friends, too---and they happen to be running The Inverness. No matter how much I may like the "suburbs," where I have moved to, I'll miss living at The Inverness, and I'll miss the wonderful people that make it the truly exceptional community that it is.

I just recently moved into these apartments and the process could not have been more seamless. Luciano helped make this experience painless and flawless. I could not be more grateful for his time, effort, and attention to detail. The property is kept very clean, my apt looked brand new, and I am happy to call this my new home! My residency is off to a great start! Thanks Luciano and Alicia for everything!

My experience at The Inverness has been amazing. The office team communicates with property updates regularly and issues get resolved very quickly. I do not understand why people would leave anonymous reviews talking negatively about the staff, it is a bit alarming. I have lived here over 10 years now and this is hands down the best experience I've ever had. The neighbors are quiet, the landscaping is well trimmed, and the maintenance is always on point with any issues; they are taken care of within 1 or 2 days, even if it's for littlest of things. The new but not so new staff have really made some amazing improvements to the property. I attended a community meeting a few months back and we are really looking forward to the new changes coming. Luciano is always cheerful and Melissa is also very helpful and courteous. There is a new girl in the office too and my interactions with her were very pleasant. They are responsive to address anything we may need. The grounds are kept nice. Yes, there have been multiple issues with water at the apartments but from what I see, the owners really do seem to care and the staff try to get the issues fixed as quickly as possible. The location is convenient for me and close to all the hotspots in Houston. There are from time to time dog messes left behind by irresponsible owners but that is bound to happen when there are so many pets living in a complex. I have seen stray cats in the area so these messes could very well be left behind by them. Either way, the mess are cleaned up rather quickly. Be kind to your neighbor and to the leasing team.

When I first moved here, it was a quaint and quiet community, with excellent and friendly office staff. At the time, it was owned by Greystar and a few years later changed to Morgan Group. The transition was seamless at the time and I was impressed at how quickly they updated the buildings, doing preventive maintenance and updating the pool area. The manager throughout the time was Morgan who has since moved on to another property but he was AMAZING. Today, it is absolutely awful. We have a new manager, Melissa, who is lazy, rude, ingenuine, and incapable. Anytime you go to her with a problem or complaint, her immediate response equates to, "not my problem, solve it on your own." This includes issues completely out of residents' hands, such as requests to send a notice to the community about crime that has occurred on the property. Another is failure to accept packages when the locker system was down, resulting in several packages being sent back to sender. Mail is a basic right... Talking about basic rights and necessities, if you move here, be prepared to be without water for entire days. No, I'm not talking about the winter storm that just passed. This property has severe plumbing issues. It's one thing to have water shut off to fix plumbing issues, however Melissa takes weeks to find the cheapest bidder which 1) increases the water bill because broken pipes keep gushing water and guess who pays for that? The residents, and 2) going with the cheapest bidder means a shoddy job so the pipes break again soon after. It is frustrating even talking to Melissa because she blames her incompetence on personal life issues and will start talking about her personal problems which is completely irrelevant, unprofessional, and insensitive. If you ever wondered how narcissistic people get on in life, well move here and you'll see - at the expense of other people's enjoyment of life. Complaints about her behavior have been sent to the corporate office which have largely gone ignored. I will never ever move into an apartment managed by The Morgan Group ever again. It's a shame the owners thought they were making the right move changing property management companies and now long-time residents are leaving and new residents are declining renewals. The assistant manager, Krysten, should have been made manager because she knew the ins and outs of managing this property and understood what customer service is. Instead, they brought in an immature manager, Melissa, who can't even delegate emergencies properly and admits to ignoring complaints and then goes out for 2-hour lunches and leaves the office early. STAY AWAY.

I work Friday through Monday. Today is Tuesday, my first day off after working the whole Labor Day weekend (Thursday though Monday). Our water was shut off today, with only about 30 minutes' notice, for about four hours today. Apparently, the work that the plumbers did a couple weeks ago wasn't sufficient. We just got a notice that the water will be shut off tomorrow from about 9am to 7pm. This is the norm here. That is, we're often without water. There's a HUGE problem with the water system here. I have no idea what the problem is. Was the piping done incorrectly 30 years ago when the property was built? Are the plumbers incompetent? Was the the plumber contract a sweetheart deal? Is The Morgan Group unwilling to pay the cost to make things right while still collecting a lot of rent from us because we live near River Oaks? I don't know. I do know that the ground around the water-affected areas is shaky, which makes me wonder about the foundation of our community. I recommend avoiding this community. I did some calculation in my head. In my 56 years of life, 95% of the water shut offs I've experienced IN MY WHOLE LIFE have occurred in the past two years I've lived at The Inverness Apartments. There's always a problem with the water. You lose days and days every month! You're constantly alerted to fill up your bath tubs so that you can load a bucket to flush your toilets. Is this what we should expect in Greenway/Upper Kirby, Houston, Texas, USA, in 2021? What's wrong with these property owners? Are these folks comfortable with this? How do they sleep at night knowing that their tenants go without water when they could open their corporate wallets to pay for fixing our pipes? I don't expect something for nothing, My husband and I aren't on some sort of government assistance. We're people who pay our bills every month. We've been paying our bills for almost four decades now! This isn't a village of a sub-Saharan country in Africa where running water is something special. I want freaking reliable water in my Houston, Texas, home where I spend a lot of money! I can only think that the people who own the property don't care because they don't have to live here. Why should they care, the scumbags? My husband and I work hard to pay our rent here, which is almost $2,000 per month. We're not dumb, uneducated, or poor. We just liked living in this neighborhood. Since COVID, this once-vibrant neighborhood has died. It's becoming a wasteland around here. A lot of of our favorite restaurants and businesses have closed down here and are moving to Galveston County. We're following them! If you can do so, leave Houston and Harris County! And definitely don't move to The Inverness! By not doing everything that they can do to fix a basic utility--WATER--the property owners have shown that they don't care. It's disgusting, but I fear that we'll see more of this within the city limits.

The only saving grace for this community is the maintenance team. The new manager, Melissa, is lazy and doesn't do anything. Security cameras have not been working for nearly a quarter of the year now, pipes continuously burst resulting in water being shut off for entire days with residents footing the water bill, complaints go ignored, and when their mail system is down, packages get sent back to sender. Landscaping is non-existent. Melissa sends out notices attempting to sweet-talk the residents but ultimately comes off unprofessional and childish with phrases such has "we are so so so very very sorry." Seriously? They hired a child for this job. Corporate refuses to replace her with someone competent. Many complaints to even the corporate office have gone ignored; apparently, according to Melissa, the regional manager is her good friend, so you can bet on corrupt business practices taking place.

I moved in ro this property in December and I love the apartments and the location. The manager and office staff are really helpful and always easy to talk to. I am enjoying the family feeling here. The maintenance are happy to help even if it's just an ac filter replacement.

I toured the Inverness in May 2021. Luciano helped me and was incredibly kind, gracious, prompt in his responsiveness, and readily answered all the questions I had. I will be moving here and am glad to know that the complex is in such good hands with people like him on staff. The Inverness is a lovely little complex at very affordable prices, especially for the area. A lot of the people in the reviews seem very loyal to the complex, so I'm looking forward to experiencing why that is firsthand.
