The staff have helped me greatly when it comes to handling my leases semester to semester. Recently had a situation come up regarding signing up for the wrong lease and the gentlemen in the office named Andrew was not only able to help us figure out how it happened but provide a remedy for both me and the other afflicted party member that allows us to still enjoy our semesters here

The community staff is not at all cooperative. There is lot of politics and racisms issues faced by the international students. All the process done is against their own rules and policies depending upon the person taking the lease. Not at all a good place to live and has a lot of issue without any cooperation.

Living at UFA is a pretty great option for students who want to live near campus. I saved a lot of money not needing a car for the year I lived here, and I could ride my longboard to campus in a little under ten minutes. It's probably a five minute bike road at most to the university. While the installment plan is pretty expensive, especially for an efficiency apartment, the conveniences were pretty fantastic. The school coordinates with the UHCL buses so that you can catch a ride to campus from 8AM-9PM five days out of the week. Additionally, you can sign up for grocery runs where to the local Kroger every Friday, though I do wish they would consider riding to HEB instead. As for the units themselves, I really never had a problem with the apartment. Some of the utilities in the apartment are kind cheaply made, but UFA will quickly repair it if you put in a request. Internet is restrictive (specifically for gaming with its Strict NAT type), but always reliable and relatively fast. My air conditioning, thank God, was ALWAYS reliable. I could freeze out my apartment for 10 months out of the year and never really suffered a super high utility bill, the highest being around $100, and the lowest I think being about $60. Most importantly, the staff is extremely helpful and cordial. They were especially understanding and sympathetic to students suffering from drastic changes due to COVID-19. I think this is something I am especially appreciative of. The people working behind the desk are sympathetic human beings, and will work with you so long as you work with them. I think the price per square foot is pretty high, but I would recommend UFA to anyone wanting to live on campus. It is CERTAINLY a better deal than living at Hunter Hall. There are certainly other options for apartments along Bay Area, but the conveniences of living directly next to campus will be something I sorely miss!

The staff in this place is horrible. They are absolutely useless and do nothing to help out. My complaint is purely based on the fact that it was written in our lease that since we would be put together with unknown girls, we will be helped in case of roommate issues and complaints. We were a group of 4 girls living in an apartment, all 3 of us had complained to the staff repeatedly against 1 roommate who was dreadful. 2 girls left the apartment because of her and were replaced by other two girls who also complained repeatedly against the said terror roommate. So 5 complaints against one girl while I was still there and all 5 left UFA because of her but the useless staff did nothing and the terror girl remained. Obviously I left because of the girl too and I know for a fact that the girl after me also complained and the terror roommate was still allowed accommodation. I understand they would say things like they cannot remove her but all of the girls gave written official complaints with evidence and photographs. I looked at her smug face still living there inspite of 6-7 people complaining seriously against her. We are not fools dear useless UFA staff to unnecessarily complain. You should have taken action because you had agreed to it. You have all these 6-7 people giving you bad reviews except the 1 girl you people tried to save. My point is, for future renters, by fluke if you get a bad roommate (since its anyway random).. these people will do nothing to help you out no matter how correct and good you are and you will suffer in misery. Instead go to other apartment complexes around where you can choose your roommates and live happily.

I enjoyed living at University Forest Apartments! It was a great experience. The apartment complex is so close to campus, I was able to walk to class in the Bayou Building in 10-15 minutes. The staff was amazing, nice, understanding, and professional. Any repairs I needed done were fixed immediately, usually by the day of or the day after I asked to put in a repair request. The amenities were great too! The laundry room on-site is always open, is clean and maintained. The office staff builds up community at the complex with weekly events for residents to get to know each other, know staff, and activities and hobbies.

I am a resident since 2015 September, I really like this place. The apartment staff are hard working and always helpful with everything. I love the amenities especially the pool, its open year round and after a hard workday it feels awesome to wind down. I actually don't watch to much TV but whenever there is a game or some show its awesome to watch it at the club house's big screen tv. Also there is free wifi internet provided and its hardly ever has outages and slow down's. The price is reasonable and I feel i get a good value for my money. Whenever there is some repair issues, the staff responds fast and I can continue to live worry free.

I've enjoyed my time at University Forest Apartment, because it super close to UHCL, well within my budget, fantastic events monthly, and it's a gated community in a quiet neighborhood. The property staff are personable and extremely dedicated to provide making everyone's stay on the property pleasant and comfortable. They are present and provide round the clock service. So if you're new to Houston or UH/UHCL, I'd recommend starting your stay here.

I enjoyed living here. Coming from out of town I made a great decision staying at UFA because it is gated and I feel safe. The staff is always very friendly and willing to help/ answer any questions or concerns that you may have. It could have some updates in the room but nothing big for they are still well maintenanced. If you are from out of country or out of town I really do recommend staying here. It is also a great location with many groceries stores and restaurants at walking distance.

I enjoyed my experience while there, it provided me with safe and convenient on campus housing (especially not being from Houston) other complexes nearby were either more expensive or require you to purchase services separately such as water and electricity. I have lived in more than 7 apartments/ student housing locations and none have been as easily accommodating for the value. I feel as though many students )young and old) don't appreciate or understand the value of such a luxury, until they move out and search for housing elsewhere (I have heard personally from many graduates). I also enjoyed the fact that they provided events every month for us (free food) and made an effort to connect with us and allow us to connect with other residents. I did experience some issues with maintenance, but in my cases (and I found in many other) the GM of the property is one to personally handle these issues if needed. This is something I have (and I quote) never experienced anywhere else, it is not required nor even expected for GMs of apartment properties to fix maintenance issues. I have had a hand full of issues at my new property and this has and probably never will happen. I greatly appreciated that aspect of living here and in my opinion that conveyed to me that the staff actually cares and gives legitimate effort to help the residents. I would lease again if ever a student for the environment (interactive and safe), the staff and the convenience for students.
