3 apartments have broken into within the last month. If you are concerned about your safety, this is not the place for you. Management does not give a crap at all what happens, all they say is 'This is Houston !!'. My lease is up soon, and I definitely won't renew it.

This complex is not perfect, but I really can't believe all the negative reviews it's got on here. I strongly suspect a vast majority of people who have posted reviews are simply "complainer" types who are enticed by the fact that this website gives them an opportunity to complain anonymously...C'mon people. I love living here. For $750/800 a month, you can't beat a place like this. Most of my friends are surprised this is all that I pay. Can't beat the location...close to Westhiemer which makes the location convient; it is also basically in Memorial, so the proximity to a classy area makes it relatively safe (or at least safer). The apartment is spacious and supplied with amenities such as a washer/dryer. The complex itself is small which is nice. There is always somewhere to park, and I don't rent a garage. The pool and hot tub are well kept and the place is in general quite clean. Always felt safe and have had no issues. Seriously, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this place other than the noise that's been coming from the next lot over lately due to the construction (looks like another apartment complex is being built). Obviously, this is only temporary and there's not really anything the owners or staff can do about it anwyay. My water heater has broke before and some of my power outlets have gone out in the past, but the staff has always sent someone to fix that sort of stuff quickly the same day. Vending machine never gives you what you tell it too. Who cares. Positives far out way the negatives.

The location is excellent, the exterior is pretty, but there is room for improvement in maintainance of the grounds and in my unit. I moved in June 2007, and my unit was given to me dusty and with an awful paint job. It smelled of cigarettes, and there were bugs. I asked for the leasing office to spray for nats, and they claimed it had already been done. A month later I still had small flies(nats), and they still haven't come (it's December now). I did it myself w a store bought defogger. My bathroom ceiling has a leak above the bath tub that leaks nasty brown water in to tub. It's been there since October. They are giving me 2 days of rent credit for my inconvenience but it hardly seems fair. I have had to shower at a friend's house when the leak is bad, other times I try to move around it, but it is very annoying and disgusting, for now it has molded. It has yet to be fixed. The walls are thin, and when my upstairs neighbor does laundry or uses his dryer, it is quite noisy! My dryer is noisy as well, but at least ir works. Also, I have a neighboor that NEVER uses a leash on her dog and I've almost run over him twice. Nobody cleans up after their pets either, and I stepped on some dog pooh on my way to the car to go to work one morning, it was disgusting! I wish the mgmt would address this issue. The lights in the exterior hallways of my building are never on in the morning (I leave for work at 6am), and it extremely dark. The heater on the spa doesn't work, and the water sprinklers come on even when it's raining. The front gate call box is on the opposite end of the gate that opens so if your guest come visit, they have to call first, then back up on to traffic on Voss to pull in front of the gate that opens. The parking is very tight, although it is all unassigned covered parking which is nice, and the garages are very affordable ($55 when I signed my lease). You have to pay water/trash monthly (approx$20 for my 1bdrm/study) and rental ins (approx $15/month) in addition to rent. All in all, I love the location, my rent is adequate for the location and size if my unit but the maintainance issues I've had have made my overall experience awful. The office staff have been accomadating every time I've called, although maintainance has been quite inefficient. The gym is tiny, only 2 machines in a clausterphobic room, but there is a 24 hr fitness nearby and u have access to the gyms at other Richdale propeties. I will probably renew my lease b/c I hate moving, but I will definetly shop around if things don't get better with maintainance. Good luck!

Apartments are nice on the inside, but there are too many safety concerns. Multiple neighbors of mine have had their apartments or cars broken into. One was held up at gun point. Management does not do anything- only makes you buy insurance. I have also had tons of solicitors come to my aparment in the evening hours. Two of my neighbors have been broken into within the last month. If you are concerned about your safety, this is not the place for you. My lease is up soon, and I definitely won't renew it.

it's been 10 months, looks nice and quite but getting dangerous lately. No security and the other day they break in my neighbour's apartment in the middle of the day, since it is very small coplex and almost everyone at work they just break the door and get it. is this what we are paying for? And 2 months ago some drunk came to my door and destroy, even the police came but the managment didnt came to fix, they even didnt call to check..I am leaving end of my lease.
