This complex is better than most, but it still has it's problems such as lost/stolen/missing packages, revolving door of management/maintenance staff, loud noises from neighbors/parking garage, community door/garage gates not working properly, residents NOT notified of important events/changes within the community i.e. cancellation of Fetch door-to-door delivery service, new office personnel, office/garbage collection holiday schedule, etc.

I was afraid this was going to be a terrible decision after how my initial interactions with the office. I was moved to another apartment without prior notice but as soon as I moved in, everything has been great! Justin is an angel!!!

Its used be a greate a place to live, but under the new management theere are many issues. Noise, unsafe, Maintenance. Dirt. The current management us super poor! They need a lot of improvement. When you call them to address the conserns, they dont take any actions.

Since new management has come in, There's been quite a few positive updates to the complex. The food trucks, complex events are plentiful. It appears that mgt is updating the units. Common areas have been refreshed. However, the gym hasn't been yet. There were issues with the trash and tree roaches. It took some weeks but I think they've resolved those problems. Grounds are kept up nicely but I think they've forgotten about the bamboo trees thar were dug up and left the dead roots exposed... kind of an eye sore. I personally am having issues with my work orders being completed in a timely manner. There's a communication breakdown somewhere it seems. Everything is breaking in our apartment due to normal wear and tear/ it being old and we're waiting weeks/ months for fixtures to be replaced/ repaired. It took forever and many attempts for my washer to be fixed. It's holding up. I'm sure it was rigged up pretty well this time. I'm pretty sure we need a new fridge as water is running down the back side of it and freezing my vegetable crisper is constantly having to be defrosted because it's gathering ice. They've come to fixed it but I still here the water tricking. Today we are waiting on faucets and blinds to be replaced. It's been a month wait for that. The walls are so thin unfortunately, this appears to be a problem with a lot of complexes.

It very much depends on the management: from excellent to very unsatisfactory .I consider it imposing to be forced to write in more length. If you insist: Some managers are snippy to rude, not responsive, not accommodating. We all wish back the times when Anita ran the place. Ever since her leaving the complex went downhill.

The apartment is good but over priced. Poor cleaning and management. Garbage collection was bad and now it is getting worse, aminities have limited access(club house) and poor quality (sauna bath) but still I don't regret my decision moving in.

I have lived 5 years in Houston. Hands down this is the best apartment I lived in. The apartments are spacious and we feel very safe and comfortable . The staffs are also helpful and any maintance is quickly taken care of . I will take one point off for elevator not functioning for a while

I'm brand new at VLA, just moved in. I like the apartment a lot and feel fortunate to have found it. I think it's a good value and the location is perfect for me. The staff (Justin, Sarah and Alba) have all been very hospitable to me and responded promptly to my requests. The personal reason for my residing there is unpleasant, but VLA has made it as tolerable as possible and I appreciate that greatly.

I Love this property. Staff and maintenance crew are nice, polite and know me by name. Quiet and peaceful. Neighbors are friendly and respectful. I think I'll be here for a while.. It feels like home.

Average Experience. Its an property that aging fast. Over 3 years, electric utility bill skyrocketed, told management but know one listened, Finally, the air conditioning unit was replaced (due to total failure), now the electricity usage is back to where it should be. Parking is always an issue, the resolution is simply to enforce the rules that already exist or assigned parking (with no extra charge). Other residents seem to have no respect for the property, garbage and pet droppings are found frequently.
