I will not recommend this place to anyone. The elevator is always out of order i have been stuck in elevator more than hundred times since i have lived here. roaches are everywhere in this apartment complex and also big rats. Loud noise all the time like people are smoking POT...YUCK YUCK YUCK place Ceiling leakage around the halls. Not to mention also is the smell of bad odor like it has never been cleaned. Please if you are deciding to move DO NOT move here. The management is ugly mean and a bunch of fat lazy people. That fat character who signs people up is a total B.... She has no clue to get her fat --- up and manage good property system. The management is not worth talking to they may give you a deal but over all this place is a nightmare of roaches, rats and awful service. People who have stayed here are running away. GOOD FOR THEM THIS PLACE NEEDS A NEW MANAGEMENT AND CLEAN SYSTEM WHICH WILL NEVER HAPPEN.

This place is a sh*tbox. I wouldn't recommend a homeless person to consider moving here. Within 1 month of living here, I came home to my own apartment on a Sunday morning and my key wouldn't unlock my own apt. It took the service man over 2 hrs to get into my apt, in which his first method of fixing the problem was breaking into my own window. About a month later I find giant cockroaches INSIDE my apt, along with the thousands of pill bugs and insects. The washing/drying machines never work and eat your quarters on a regular basis. With all this happening, the local mgmt team has no concern and doesn't seem to have a care in the world. But then again they're the type of people also that would be proud of managing a sh*tbox. In this case houstonians, the location IS NOT worth the living conditions. Move a little further out from town and you'll have a longer commute to work, but you won't have to sleep with cockroaches and deal with carefree -------- mgmt. I will be breaking my lease ASAP and ill make them hire a collections company till I give them a cent of the fee. DO NOT MOVE HERE, I REPEAT, IT IS A SH*TBOX.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE, RUN FAR AWAY! Infested with rats and mice, you can hear them in the walls and if you're lucky, they will appear in your apartment. When you tell management about it, they won't do anything about it. The smell of piss is so rancid in the west wing that it literally made me vomit. There was a violent crime that occurred in my hallway (woman screaming in the hallway in the middle of the night, blood on the walls all down the hallway) and not only did they not inform the residents about it, they covered it up!!! I saw multiple people whose vehicles had been broken into in the parking lot, luckily mine never did. Management is terrible and maintenance is worse. This is absolutely the worst renting experience I have ever had and would not only NEVER recommend this place to anyone, even my worst enemy, I would recommend this place be DEMOLISHED! I'm pretty sure it's not up to code on a number of levels.

A Rat-Piss Scented Concentration Camp Dump Avalon Square is a dump. It reeks of rat-piss infused walls because of years of an unmanaged rat infestation. The rat infestation has been eradicated because after 40 years, they finally figured out that if they remove the dumpsters from inside the building to outside of the building on the street curbs, that the rats will go away. Yeah .it took them 40 years to figure that out. The building still reeks of rat piss especially the mail rooms. I lived here for several years and finally moved out recently. Here s what you can expect if you move to Avalon Square Apartments. Fees, fees and more fees each month. They will bill you so about $100.00 in extra fees each month water bill, water admin fee, sewer fee, gas fee, trash fee, and your forced to either buy their renter s insurance and purchase your own. The hallway carpet and carpeted stairwells usually reeks of dog piss and dog odors and frequently you might find a dog terd in the hallway. It usually takes Avalon about 6 months to shampoo the carpet. After about 50,000 complaints, the finally started having the 40 year old carpet shampooed professionally every 6 months. The pipes are old and creaky. Many times you ll get home and the water will look like a cup of coffee. You ll have to run your pipes clean for at least a minute to get clear water. Many times the hot water does not work and you ll have to take a cold shower. The bathtubs are usually painted inside because of a crack or the enamel missing, and this makes it hard to keep a clean tub. Many people in the building have had roof leaks especially during heavy rains or the hurricanes. The underground parking garage floods like a swimming pool during heavy rains or hurricanes. If you don t move your car, it will flood out. Many thugs live in the building and your vehicle may be burgarlized. Avalon does not have a security guard on staff. Approximately 310 residents live at Avalon. There are only 20 washers and 9 dryers to service all of the people. Most machines are creaky are so vandalized that they don t work. Its usually hard to find an available washer due to the number of families that live here. Usually all of the machines will be in use by one family, so its difficult to wash your clothes. Also, laundry is a struggle as you have to lug your laundry down into the basement and back upstairs. The 3 ratty and shaky elevators are a nightmare. It usually sounds like your in a Halloween Horror House while riding the elevators. They creak, beat against the wall and sometimes stop with you caught between the floors. And you ll smell that wonderful rat piss odor in the elevators too !! And, be careful because the elevators usually have a puddle of dog piss of the floor. The complex is cheaply maintained. They buy the cheapest blinds possible. The walk-in gates and garage gates are usually broken and guest cannot get inside so you ll have to walk down the stairs to let guest inside. Overall, Avalon Square is a dump awaiting the wrecking ball. They will fee you to death each month to the tune of about $100.00 extra dollars added to your rent. You ll receive their lovely bill each month in the smelly rat-piss mail room. The apts are safe and I never had a break-in. However, my car was burgarlized underground in the parking garage. Thugs busted out my window. It happens quite often in the garage, so carry auto insurance just in case your burgarlized or window is busted out.
