Lived here over a year trying to move. This is a bad senior place the staff discriminates against disabled elderly people. They keep reminding residents that it is a independent living place. They don't believe in helping people. Repairs are not done in a timely manner you have to argue with them to get things done. They are rude and mean. Please research this place thoroughly. The current maintenance men are nice but elderly and are also bullied by staff.

I have consistently experienced the best residential support services at the Manor at Jersey Village. The staff is friendly and helpful… Anytime I have submitted a maintenance request I have received a prompt response. Whether it was changing light bulbs, replacing/removing furniture, or servicing the plumbing and electricity, maintenance quickly and thoroughly ensured that I have an optimal living environment. There are community events like bingo, movies, and dinners where you can mingle and make friends. I couldn’t be happier with the staff at Manor at Jersey Village, they are helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly.

The grounds are mowed once a month. No grass at all just weeds. There are no activities for the seniors. They have a store, theater room and computer room and the store closed over a year ago and the other two have never been opened in the four years I have been here. There are large cracks that run up the sides of each of the buildings in all the bricks. Mold everywhere. Smoking is allowed but no ashtrays anywhere. Water leak in the back of the apartments that has been leaking for over seven years. It had a bunch of slime growing on the sidewalk from the leak. No security at all. The gates hardly ever work and all the outside gates are never locked along with all the outside doors to the apartments. The dog poop is everywhere. Most of the residents don’t pick it up. The place has not been cleaned in forever. The carpet in the hallways are never vacuumed. They have no cleaning crew. The air conditioners are always going out. The elevators are in bad shape where 3 out of the 4 of them have been out at the same time for several days and with senior citizens in wheelchairs this is not acceptable at all. The owner does not keep up with this place at all. There is mold everywhere, in apartments and outside on the walks and the concrete area that has nothing on it but mold and the pool area.

Safety is NOT longer there; There have been Two (2) Robberies inside the facilities recently which one (1) was at Gun Point ( Pick Up Truck Stolen) with victim injured and got 20 Stiches on his face; the other one is a Roberry to a Female Senior Resident early in the morning near the Trash area inside the front of the building

This place is really great. I like that I can have company and conversations with people and be myself instead of feeling like I'm cooped up in a nursing home. The maintenance could be better if they spoke better english but they get the job done I guess. Office staff is alright but I haven't really had to deal with them much as I'm not really a complainer but they take care of me when I do call. The best part is how quiet it is here. No kids with loud music or couples arguing. It's better than a non 55+ community

I have been here a year and made many friends. We play bingo, cards, have potlucks and there are always things to do and people to visit with. Everyone is friendly and I enjoy the convenience going to the salon and store. It is close to my family and very nice place. I plan to live here indefinitely.

I live here presently only because I don't have any means to leave. If anyone thought that Management was bad back in 2015 it is far worst now. They advertise amenities like microwaves and washer/dryer units included in each apartment, community room, TV Room/Theater, Computer room, free Wi-Fi access, Pool and Hot tub, BBQ's pet area, vegetable garden etc...there are none of those or they are only for a few select people. One woman has control over the computer room and if you ask her for the Wi-Fi password she tells you that you have the pay $20.00 a month for it. The office keeps the door closed all day and doesn't even acknowledge you when you cone in to pay your rent. They won't allow you to hand them your rent check or money order - they point at metal basket for you to put it in - they are very rude, unwelcoming and very unprofessional. They back-date lease agreements and notices they call residents done to sign papers after the fact to get ready for "audits" and they put eviction notices on people front doors in plain site without envelopes yet the eviction paper says it was delivered personally or put inside the apartment unit. I don't have a microwave in my apartment, never have - wasn't offered one - they didn't have any when I asked. The Community room and it attached kitchen are off limits to the residents. The coffee bar is only accessible by one resident and then she puts the coffee pot up. So, if you aren't in her circle - no morning visits in the common room for you. The pool is never open - the gates stay locked, the Hot tub doesn't work. The front entrance gate is always open. The common areas on each floor or no longer usable for the residents as the sofas and tables are all disappearing one by one. When I moved in we had 6 grocery carts for residents to use for unloading groceries from the parking lot or Taxi cab depending how you got to and from the grocery store; and getting them up to our apartments - they have been gone for almost a year. Ant the residents that had there own little buggies or cart were told they couldn't keep them either or they would be grounds for eviction. They raised the late fee and enforced it on people whose leases had the lower rates. And they paid because they were afraid of being evicted. They use to pick up trash twice a week at your apartment door, then once a week - now not at all. The elevators haven't been inspected in over a year, the emergency fire extinguishers are out of date also, yet when they take away or grocery carts and tell us we can't park our electric scooters by the exits or we will be fined $100.00 they blame it on the Fire Marshall. I have been here over 4 years and my buildings floor has only been mopped once and never vacuumed. The central air conditions on the 2nd and 3rd floors aren't working and management doesn't care. It's hot and stuff as blazes during the warm months and cold during the winter. I hear that one resident went 3 months without a washer and dryer after hers caught on fire. The fire department told management to service and clean all the lint from washer/dryers they haven't. Other tenants have machines that don't dry because there is no heat and other have machines that over heat. Some have machines that are literally rusting out and causing rust spots on the linens and clothes, management doesn't care. They don't care about there tenants. Just the yearly cruise the employees take with a few residents so they can get the discount. Most my friends/acquaintances and people that have lived here since they opened in 2005 have moved out or are moving because of the loss of amenities and the unkept conditions of the building. The public restrooms are kept locked 24/7 now. Someone had an accident in the hallway before they could get to their apartments bathroom and management refused to clean it up. If the public restrooms had been open they would not have been an accident. Not professionally run at all. PS They even told the people that own pets that they couldn't walk them on the property any longer - because maintenance doesn't want to gather and replace the "doggie trash can" any longer. If they would remove the locks on the lids I am sure someone would put in the new bags and throw the full dirty bags away. PSS The only reason the manager was working late in February 2019 from the other post is because she was doctoring the files to pass an audit.

I feel so happy i found this place for my mother! she lives here and it makes me happy to see how much she loves it. She is always playing bingo and volunteering. They sure know how to keep these seniors busy and always so clean and Jersey Village police is always patrolling. Thank God management took away those grocery carts my mom hated it but then the manager was so nice to have a drawing for folding shopping carts to give to residents! luckily my mother won one and she takes that thing everywhere she goes! and so far management made an announcement that they will be drawing different things at the end of Each month!!! how amazing is that! not ALL managers are thoughtful like her for her residents! Every time visit my mother is after 6 pm and the manager is still working late! i feel so bad for her! always working late. This just shows me how much she cares about her job and residents. My mom tell me shes always walking around checking that everything gets done. like for example right now they are fixing the cracks all around the building. i cant keep explaining how well they take care of their residents and the importance that it is to keep their home nice.

The post before this had to have been posted only because the manager asked for it to be posted or the manager seen the posts and is trying to sugar coat the VERY BAD IN THIS PLACE. TRUST ME!!!! IT'S HORRIBLE......I AM PERSONALLY WRITING A LETTER TO ---------------, OWNER OF THIS PROPERTY. ARTISAN REALTY ON KATY FREEWAY. THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THIS LADY IS ABOUT. -------- ----------. SHE IS BY FAR THE WORST MANAGER THIS PLACE HAS EVER HAD. STAYS LATE, WELL ONLY BECAUSE SHE COMES IN WHEN SHE WANTS TO. THEY MAKE THEIR OWN SCHEDULE. SHE KEEPS THE DOORS CLOSED AND DOES NOT CARE ABOUT A SOUL HERE, JUST HER PAYCHECK. THIS PLACE IS MOLD INFESTED AND ROACH INFESTED. MY FAMILY IS CURRENTLY FINDING ME A NEW PLACE TO CALL HOME. SO MANY GOOD PEOPLE HERE HAVE LEFT BECAUSE OF HER ALONE. SHE HAS STARTED CHARGING US FOR LIGHT BULBS, DRIP PANS AND ETC......SHE HAS NO CARE IN THE WORLD FOR SENIORS AT ALL. SHE WILL ONE DAY BE A SENIOR, WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND. SHE WILL REAP WHAT SHE SEWES

First off, I noticed in the description of amenities that SMOKE FREE is listed. As soon as I step into the hallway I know that both neighbors are home, two different apartments, because they have filled the hall with smoke. Plus side is that the smokers are very quiet but their yappy dog is not. Also I was told not to use the pool or spa because it is not inspected and has not passed water tests in the past. Just saying. And the walk in closets are great if you count a 2 foot by 2 foot space in the closet to be a walk in. This notice was recently posted on every door and billboard in late November 2017: Packages must be picked up on a DAILY BASIS. If you do not pick up your packages within 24hrs we will return the package. We DO NOT DELIVER PACKAGES. Please refrain from calling, as we stay busy with daily work. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR PACKAGES!!! We understand the office is understaffed and is very busy. However, is it really ok for the office to return someone else's package? And what if the postman forgets to leave a note in the small mailbox. How is a renter supposed to know there is a package waiting in the office? The postman drops the packages off at the main office just inside the door where anyone can claim the package. The front gate is unlocked every day and stands wide open to the street and sometimes at night too and weekends. We have a standard 5" square small box. There are no large boxes to put a package into. My friends apartment complex has large boxes with keys that the postman puts into the small mailbox so the renter can retrieve the package. If the Manor is not responsible for packages, then who is? Once again the management seems to enjoy making our life as senior citizens more difficult instead of helping when they can.
