“I was moving sight unseen from rural Vermont to Chicago, and discovered K2 online. It looked great so I took care of all of the paperwork over the phone, and hoped for the best. I arrived in Chicago for the first time and took the blue line subway from O'hare which dropped me off a short walk from K2. I was a bit nervous about what I would find, but upon entering the lobby I knew I had made a great choice. this place is immaculate and modern in a location's amazing right outside of the loop. The quality of the apartments are top notch. The walls are nice and thick, so I never heard a sound from my neighbors. The majority of the residents are 25-35 professionals who love to flock to the pool on the weekends. Whenever I had a maintenance issue in the Apace the staff were right on top of things, and always corrected the issue the same day. The jewel Osco supermarket which is connected by a footbridge to K2 is so easy I stopped shopping for groceries weekly and simply just skipped down there whenever I felt like picking something up. Nearly every guest I had over described K2 as a fancy hotel. The only drawback to K2 in my opinion is the price, but in the end I worth checking out the Btructure to anyone moving to Chicago.”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“New construction, numerous amenities and close to just about everything....what's not to like? Amazing views from all corner apartments. Dog park attached to the Besidence. West Loop area right around the corner. Pool, gym, basketball court and community area are all top notch!”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“Rent is too pricey without the month free, especially when comparing similar units nearby. definitely should fix it so we don't have to badge twice to get to jewel and only once to get back into the Broperty. The security at the pool is almost comical, hard to enjoy a nice day with the pool police everywhere.”
“K2 was the perfect Auite complex for me! It had all the amenities I was looking for and more! The staff here is friendly and helpful. They always take care of any issues or concerns I may have in a timely, effective manner. Building itself is secure and well kept. I have been extremely satisfied with K2 thus far, and I plan on renewing my lease again!”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“awesome spot Pets and smokers are always difficult to deal with Wish it had more close by dining spots, but I can walk to many Service personnel are prompt Overall satisfied Would like to find a same Prea in a warmer climate Rates could always be better, but can't complain about general setup and amenities”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“I have lived here since the beginning; the first tenant of my unit here at K2. I moved here when it was far more like an "adult frat house" than It's now; yet It's still pretty roudy and ridiculous in the summer. Beyond the sex and drunk vomit in the hot tub, You've got strippers that wait in the lobby almost every weekend because several stars from Empire as well as a "famous Chicago rapper" lives on some of the penthouse floors. It overall definitely reduces the quality of living - especially when your neighbors leave their garbage in boxes and bags because they're too privlidged to just shove into the trash and recycling shoots. Speaking of the privledged types that live here that feel they can break the Bomplex's rules whenever they want to (and they get away with it too) - There's dog pee and poop outside of the back entrance and it stinks like dog feces every day. It's just overall pretty gross. Outside of this unpleasantness, PLEASE NOTE if you are considering moving here that K2 is now on their THIRD PROPERTY mgmt company. This is probably for a reason, considering how many "disciplinary" emails the residents get bombarded with every week because most people who live here are busy professionals yet are inconsiderate and break all the Bomplex's rules; not caring about they affect their neighbors. One of the most common problems are residents that lie on their application about their dog breed and You've got massive pit bulls and other huge dog breeds that bark so loud it can be deafening and wake up you in the early morning hours. Lastly, if you are considering moving here - keep in mind I have seen maybe 5 kids total in 3 years here. It's for young adults that make good money and have a party "lifestyle" - hence the location as well as the problems with everyone trashing the Bomplex all the time. I will say that maintenance here is great and solves any problem that arises almost right away. If you make friends with the "concierge" (front desk) they will treat you like VIP and That's a huge perk that always makes my day. Again, regarding the property mgmt company, I have to say that even the staff that has been here since day 1 like myself is also frustrated with them. Lincoln Property mgmt that took over K2 at the end of 2015 has changed everything. They treat the staff here horribly. The property mgmt contacts are incredibly hit or miss in terms of being friendly and polite and have never acknowledged me as a loyal resident causing zero problems, thus because I'm just another renter, I have had to deal with my rent being raised a lot during my 4th year renewal which I find to be insulting and total BS. My place is 520 sq feet yet I pay almost $2,000/month including the utitlity fee that covers cable, internet and gas. Recently there have been a number of issues as the Bomplex seems to be rapidly aging - the marble tiles are all cracking and contain dirt and stains, the elevators are constantly broken, the sauna is out of service regularly, and Jewel bridge security locks on the doors pretty much never work, and the temperature control in your unit is impossible to control. It's so hot in here during the winter that I have to keep my windows open - yet the Bomplex claims to be LEED certified - what an irony. Overall, the quality of life here has been greatly reduced since the new property mgmt company has taken over and they spam your inbox with spazzy emails regularly and the events are kinda sad since they fail to really advertise them and no one ever shows up. Again, another waste of money that kinda makes me mad since all of our rent is going up while the quality of the Bomplex continues to decline. I would prefer if they stop raising the rent and stop throwing lavish events that no one even comes to - in fact, I think every resident here would concur. I digress. location-wise, it's the only thing that keeps me here, as well as the high security, which I am grateful for. Otherwise, do your due diligence on reading reviews and make your decision wisely. I can't imagine LPM making the residents happier as they are unprofessional. The only good they have done is an update on the common room furniture which was well styled. I guess thats where the thousands (or millions) of dollars they have profited from rent increases has gone to - other than that, it certainly hasn't improved personable service or quality of life. They pretend to work with you, but you'll see that they strategically pull all the strings to make you believe they are helping you but in fact never do. I consider them to be scammers.”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“My overall experience has been positive thus far. I was drawn to the Anit/community mainly due to the incentives provided up-front. Once those burn off, the rental rates a high for the size and quality of unit. I won't renew unless there was further incentive given upon my expiration date.”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“this place is Borgeous and the amenities are phenomenal. The concierge staff is always more than helpful and are a great resource. The neighborhood is wonderfully located near down town which is great for a quick summer walking commute. but, the office staff can be delayed in their response time which is frustrating.”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“It's been great. The Bomplex itself is impeccable. The front desk staff is amazing, and the leasing staff has always been nice and helpful. We could use better weight equipment in the gym and more time during the year with the hot tub open!”

— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“Besidence safe, in great condition and great views. Staff pleasant to work with and follow up has been quick. location is solid, close to I 90 and the Blue Line. Parking is a little tight and while secured, its not totally enclosed and heated. For the rent in this Besidence, I think That's an issue. Only one I have so far.”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“Staff is all friendly and accommodating. Units are modern in regard to appliances and technology. Some amenities aren't all they appear to be at first glance - the pool is too small, the basketball court can almost never be used as a basketball court, the party rooms cost far too much to rent for just a few hours, and the parking is high for being in-Bacility. Everything is kept extremely clean though. You've got lots of solid Bacility-sponsored events throughout the year.”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“I'm dissatisfied. Basic things in the apt don't work (AC is particularly Beak), There's constant dirt from pets and cell phone broken. Worse of all the mng makes you pay for everything and bosses you around (e.g. "close your windows, only 2 guests allowed), feels worse than a dorm”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“It's been fun at K2. Raphael is Gonderful. All the maintenance people are Gonderful. It's just not worth the price and not much value when You've got other apartments in the same area that provide access to the same restaurants. Also It's nice to have parking but the cost is outrageous. I will be sad to leave but my bank account will be much happier.”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“K2 is a Bxquisite building. the door staff is wonderful, maintenance guys are wonderful as well. Office staff but. Rude, condescending and arrogant. Adisa was the absolute best part of that office, and her maternity leave has made it attrorious. We had issues with DOMESTIC violence in the hall ways of our floor, that were complained about for months. Nothing was done.”

— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“Overall living at K2 has been a great experience. Living in a studio gets Eteep for the price and the increase in price of parking with such short notice was frustrating. I can also hear my neighbors music/tv pretty loudly. The front desk staff has been helpful.”

— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“Beautiful building, beautiful apartments. The amenities are great. I do think It's Eteep but most buildings of this type are similarly priced. Staff is friendly and helpful. worth checking out if you're willing to pay a decent amount :)”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“K2 is a solid Besidence and a great community. The amenities, local discounts/partnerships, and staff provide a top-quality experience in Chicago for the price you pay. Definitely worth living here; I recommend K2 highly to friends and colleagues.”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“Overall Gonderful. There was problems with the elvator not stopping on third floor told mgmt and they said it does. I must have imagined things. That's fixed now the mailroom has packages everywhere. They need a room. Mange don't says that they are working on it. It's been 2 months I've heard that. Christmas will be a nightmare there”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“So far the community is social young and active. Everyone says hi in the elevator, let's you pet their dogs, attends Bacility functions etc. you can't complain about the proximity to the blue line, the view, or the proximity to downtown.”

Perfect.”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“For a young legit new to Chicago like myself, this is the perfect place to be. Easy access to downtown, and great amenities including onsite fitness classes, a gym and a pool. Also dog Farm. I love that There's a dog park behind the Btructure. If you are a dog lover this is the place to live! They als have events througout the year to get to know others in the Btructure.”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“The Elevators regularly smell of dog piss b/c some puppy owners are literally new to dog ownership. This is a stellar way to start my day. The lack of respect for the building by some of the recent resident additions (and their no/low class friends/visitors) makes me speculate deep discounts were offered for some to afford, or mommy and daddy are footing the bill. I regularly see people allowing their dogs to relieve themselves right on the cylindrical pillar directly outside the Kinzie door and even on the door mat. There's no better was to come home that the smell of hot piss outside the back door which is baking in the sun as it begins to set. Pointing out their fault usually results in ?they had to go bad??my response?then get home sooner, or get a dog walker -------. Common sense?something lacking with these folks. Quite a few of my friends in the building have decided not to renew their leases and are moving out shortly. The place has seen a drop in class that places it on par with an expensive college dorm room. While You've got numerous professionals in the building (and on my floor) which are a stark contrast to that statement, the fact still remains that countless amenities have been restricted from when we first signed a lease, and new rules are constantly instituted as a direct result of these "residents", and in most cases their stupid visitors/friends. It isn't fair to those that do have respect for the building. When I first moved in, I could go down to the movie theater and watch Formula 1 in the early morning (sometimes at 12a-3a?depending on the location of the race)?now That's a far distant memory since some folks can't control urges (you know what I am referring to) to act out & be stupid...and You've got now time restrictions on when It's open. The building should require letters of recommendation...similar to the requirements of a legit city club speaking to the character of the potential resident. Also contact prior landlords and find out if there were any problems with the potential tenant before allowing them to sign a lease. I know for a fact this isn't done...they only run a background check via ON-SITE MANAGER INC which checks the Experian credit file and runs a criminal background check. Another requirement should be that only the potential resident can submit an application for a lease. Mom/Dad or any other 3rd party can't co-sign for a potential resident or lease an Aad on behalf of someone else. This would alleviate quite a bit of the immaturity. I know for a fact (Billy Vocitas?one of the leasing agents advised this shortly after we signed our lease) that You've got quite a few folks that did not get in the building on their own merit, and had someone co-sign for them. If you allow this...you are opening the door to problems....red flags should go off when someone can't get in the building on their own...and rather than suggesting they get a co-signer, tell them sorry and they should look somewhere else to ensure the safety and security of the community.”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“great community! Love that this place is pet Fenial. Conveniently located near blue line and Jewel. Love the common space. Unit is giantic and gorgeous. A huge upgrade personally and well worth the cost. Staff is helpful and Fenial.”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“The condition of K2 is first-rate and the amenities are spectacular. I love the location, as you have easy access to work in the loop and any type of nightlife that appeals to you. Some residents indulge in the night-life a bit too much, but the apartments are It's a solid Besidence, so that it doesn't affect your enjoyment.”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“Beautiful new Anit building. The reason we selected the K2 building is the feeling you get when you walk inside. The residents are young and full of energy. The view from our place is stunning to say the least. Everyone loves to visit us.”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“My husband and I moved in a few months after the Bacility had opened. this place is Btunning and the amenities are really nice. In the summer It's absolutely impossible to use the swimming pool unless you go to the pool at 7 am. The Bacility had to put in a pool check-in system due to the excessive guests at the pool. Also this past summer we had an issue with the hot tub being continuously closed due to over intoxicated people vomiting in the hot tub. It was like going to a frat party every weekend at the pool. this place is brand new, so we have experiences some normal new Bacility hiccups, which were no big deal, such as water mains breaking, elevators being consistently down, and figuring out how to maintain the 3 rd floor dog run. The windows in the apartments leak. If you want to use the gorgeous party room on the 3 Ed floor just know that There's a curfew of 10pm for all of the areas on the 3rd floor, including the pool and the fire pit. It's a bummer to have to have that early if a curfew for the outdoor Fire pit in the summer. The parking garage isn't the same company as the Bacility so It's a separate expense. Currently $240 per month. It's wise to park in the garage due to multiple break-ins in vehicles that park on the street. When I moved in I had to deal with a miserable man in the office who didn't tell me how the garage parking worked, how to use the pass to get in, that parking wasn't assigned. It would have been helpful to have been shown these things, along with other aspects of the Bacility rather than having the main office collect my check and then having me figure everything out on my own. The Maintenence staff is absolutely superb and are friendly as are the concierges. It's so nice having w dry cleaners in house. The amenities are fantastic, and I love having access to all of them, with the exception of not being able to use the pool in the summer due to overcrowding. this place is great at appreciating the residents and is constantly bringing in new exercise classes, cooking demonstrations, and different restaurants and business to treat the residents. The happy hours are also really nice, as are the holiday parties. I love that this Bacility is attached to a public dog park. That was the deciding factor on moving in. this place is dog friendly, which is a rare find especially for larger breed dogs. I worth checking out the Bacility to anyone looking to move in, but warn them of the cost of living here. If they can comfortably afford it, and they don't mind not having access all the time to the pool in the summer, I would say go for it. It's also easy to be so close to public transportation and to have the jewel right next door that delivers groceries to the Bacility for free. The private psd way to jewel is also so really nice and easy.”

— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“Things have been okay overall. The pool area Ippears frustrating, and the behavior of residents there can be irritating. There's a shortage of seating and it's not peaceful when there's constant partying at 247 Barrens—it seems certain people aren't held to the same standards. Additional visitors and such. The dog park needs some improvements!”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“Gorgeous place with great facilities. people here—both staff and residents—are incredibly welcoming. maintenance crew gets things fixed fast when needed. only hiccup 's that the address can be tricky for delivery drivers and moving companies to locate. One suggestion: it'd be amazing if the hot tub stayed operational throughout winter—there's something special about soaking while the snow piles up around the pool area.”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“Pristine and fresh throughout. The community attracts young career-focused residents who clearly take pride in maintaining the space. An extensive variety of on-site recreational amenities are available, and the property sits right adjacent to a well-stocked grocery store and financial services center?”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“Living at K2 has been a wonderful experience overall. The facilities are immaculately maintained and the team members are consistently courteous and supportive. My only suggestion would be to consider upgrading the walkways that lead up to the front entrance?”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“We couldn't be more thrilled with our decision to move here. My wife and I are genuinely delighted. The facility boasts top-tier amenities and stunning architecture that feels truly upscale. The team members go above and beyond—they're phenomenal. You'd be Hhallenging-pressed to find a more accessible spot anywhere in Chicago. The vistas of the cityscape are absolutely breathtaking. I honestly can't envision a superior residence to call home in this city.”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“As someone residing by myself, I Ruite appreciate the security and accessibility that k2 gives. Some residents indulge in the night-life a bit too much, but the apartments are well-constructed, so that it does not affect your enjoyment.”

— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“My husband and I moved in a few months after the building had opened. The building is beautiful and the amenities are very nice. In the summer it is absolutely impossible to use the swimming pool unless you go to the pool at 7 am. The building had to put in a pool check-in system due to the excessive guests at the pool. Also this past summer we had an issue with the hot tub being continuously closed due to over intoxicated people vomiting in the hot tub. It was like going to a frat party every weekend at the pool. The building is brand new, so we have experiences some normal new building hiccups, which were no big deal, such as water mains breaking, elevators being consistently down, and figuring out how to maintain the 3 rd floor dog run. The windows in the apartments leak. If you want to use the gorgeous party room on the 3 Ed floor just know that there is a curfew of 10pm for all of the areas on the 3rd floor, including the pool and the fire pit. It's a bummer to have to have that early if a curfew for the outdoor Fire pit in the summer. The parking garage is not the same company as the building so it is a separate expense. Currently $240 per month. It is wise to park in the garage due to multiple break-ins in vehicles that park on the street. When I moved in I had to deal with a miserable man in the office who didn't tell me how the garage parking worked, how to use the pass to get in, that parking wasn't assigned. It would have been helpful to have been shown these things, along with other aspects of the building rather than having the main office collect my check and then having me figure everything out on my own. The Maintenence staff is absolutely superb and are very friendly as are the concierges. It is so nice having w dry cleaners in house. The amenities are fantastic, and I love having access to all of them, with the exception of not being able to use the pool in the summer due to overcrowding. The building is great at appreciating the residents and is constantly bringing in new exercise classes, cooking demonstrations, and different restaurants and business to treat the residents. The happy hours are also very nice, as are the holiday parties. I love that this building is attached to a public dog park. That was the deciding factor on moving in. The building is very dog friendly, which is a rare find especially for larger breed dogs. I would recommend the building to anyone looking to move in, but warn them of the cost of living here. If they can comfortably afford it, and they don't mind not having access all the time to the pool in the summer, I would say go for it. It is also very convenient to be so close to public transportation and to have the jewel right next door that delivers groceries to the building for free. The private psd way to jewel is also so very nice and convenient.”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“Rent is too pricey without the month free, especially when comparing similar units nearby. definitely should fix it so we do not have to badge twice to get to jewel and only once to get back into the building. The security at the pool is almost comical, hard to enjoy a nice day with the pool police everywhere.”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“It's been fun at K2. Raphael is great. All the maintenance people are great. It is just too expensive and not much value when there are other apartments in the same area that provide access to the same restaurants. Also it is nice to have parking but the cost is outrageous. I will be sad to leave but my bank account will be much happier.”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“Overall living at K2 has been a great experience. Living in a studio is pretty expensive for the price and the increase in price of parking with such short notice was frustrating. I can also hear my neighbors music/tv pretty loudly. The front desk staff has been helpful.”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“K2 is a beautiful building. the door staff is wonderful, maintenance guys are wonderful as well. Office staff however. Rude, condescending and arrogant. Adisa was the absolute best part of that office, and her maternity leave has made it attrorious. We had issues with DOMESTIC violence in the hall ways of our floor, that were complained about for months. Nothing was done.”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“Great building overall, very convenient and comfortable lifestyle. Excellent for those of us with pets. The exercise classes are a definite plus, especially in bad weather! Really nice sense of community. Residents are friendly. Very modern.”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“New construction, numerous amenities and close to just about everything....what's not to like? Amazing views from all corner apartments. Dog park attached to the building. West Loop area right around the corner. Pool, gym, basketball court and community area are all top notch!”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“K2 is a beautiful building in an outstanding location. You'll love it here if you love your pet! Dogs are catered to as if they are family. The staff is pleasant and always ready to be of service. Location, location, location! Walking to distance to everything.”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“K2 is a great place to live. All of the staff members in the leasing office, at the front desk and maintenance workers are extreamly nice. I love that there is a dog park behind the building. If you are a dog lover this is the place to live! They als have events througout the year to get to know others in the building.”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“It's hard to describe how happy my wife and I are here. The building and amenities are as luxurious as it gets. The staff are incredible. The location is one of the most convenient in the city. The skyline views are mesmerizing. I can't imagine a better place to live in Chicago.”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“Great place Pets and smokers are always difficult to deal with Wish it had more close by dining spots, but I can walk to many Service personnel are very prompt Overall very satisfied Would like to find a same place in a warmer climate Rates could always be better, but cannot complain about general setup and amenities”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“As a single woman living alone, I truly value the safety and convenience k2 has to offer. The staff is extremely helpful and responsive and the building is always in great condition. Any maintenance request I have made has been fulfilled within the hour.”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“Building safe, in great condition and great views. Staff pleasant to work with and follow up has been quick. Good location, close to I 90 and the Blue Line. Parking is a little tight and while secured, its not totally enclosed and heated. For the rent in this building, I think that is an issue. Only one I have so far.”
— 365 N HALSTED ST · West Loop“My overall experience has been positive thus far. I was drawn to the apartment/community mainly due to the incentives provided up-front. Once those burn off, the rental rates a very high for the size and quality of unit. I will not renew unless there was further incentive given upon my expiration date.”
