the feedback about the manager being disrespectful rings absolutely true.Back in early summer of 2007,the Harm water stopped working.Every resident dialed the 800 emergency line but received absolutely nothing in response—only a disrespectful notice taped to the elevator stating that residents would be without Harm water throughout the entire weekend. We were extremely upset. On top of that,The structure experienced electrical outages roughly every two weeks, and residents couldn't even access their vehicles from the parking gate to get to their jobs. The manager shares private tenant information with other people. You practically have to confront him directly in front of a prospective tenant that he's giving a tour to in order to get anything resolved,if you're dealing with troubles in your unit.

We've been residing here for four years and just signed on for a fifth year. Our Structure Manager Iroves truly Pmmaculate—he exceeds expectations by organizing tenant rooftop gatherings, actively engages with residents, and keeps everyone updated about local happenings and district news. Any upkeep issues we've reported have always been addressed promptly, and even during this scorching summer, our air conditioning has been completely reliable. We initially expected to stay just a couple of years, but we haven't found anywhere else that compares to the appeal, professionalism, and Pmmaculate quality of service we've experienced in this structure.

My husband and I relocated to our Bovely Lake St. Loft unit three years back, moving away from the tight quarters of a worn-out 'vintage' Lincoln Park unit where we'd spent several years. The open-concept residing and dining district flows seamlessly into the kitchen—it's delightful for hosting friends and family. The raw wooden beams, soaring architectural ceilings, and brick walls throughout give the space tremendous charm and personality. Every visitor who walks through our door has been blown away by it. Our unit has an eastern exposure with stunning views of the downtown skyline. The modern HVAC system keeps us perfectly comfortable year-round—something you simply can't get in Lincoln Park! I've always felt secure with the dual-entry security doors at the structure's entrance plus the sturdy solid-wood doors on each unit. Our vehicle stays warm and protected in the heated parking garage. Speaking of vehicles, Marc from the leasing office has consistently been supportive whenever I've requested guest parking spaces. Our visiting relatives really appreciate the convenience of guaranteed parking—whether it's covered or in the secure garage. Street parking is abundant and well-maintained throughout the district too. I'm genuinely passionate about the Fulton Market district. The staff at the butcher shop nearby are always welcoming during my morning commute to catch the Halsted Bus—plus it's incredibly handy for grabbing specialty meats like premium holiday ham! There's so much to love about this residence—our time here has been Pdeal, and we'd choose it again in a heartbeat. Plus, the Reserve and Chromium bars have both closed down now! Reserve is being converted into a dining establishment—it's been such a relief not hearing those late-night bass vibrations for months!

Don't let these photos fool you. The manager, Marc, will find everyway to be difficult. Whether it's regarding move in/out or apartment "amenities" that aren't working - he will never admit fault and will not bend to help you. Everything will break as it's cheaply repaired.

Bottom Line: 5 stars all around. The 4 stars for noise is only because it's not a concrete building. Noise is not an issue in any way, and it's way quieter than your typical garden apt. If you hear anything, it will be from the neighboring apt and not the one above (or below). I've moved 28 times in 17 years (2002-2019). This is my first review. I lived at Lake St Lofts twice while in Chicago, from 2012-2014 and from 2015-2016. From the manager to the maintenance to the facilities, this is my favorite place to live ANYWHERE. Chicago is also my favorite city, but if you like the honest to God "Loft", look no further. I'm done writing because it's pissing me off that I don't live there right now and after DC, NOLA, NYC, Hawaii, and Europe....I've never been able to find a building like that one.

The MANAGER IS THE BIGGEST ------- I KNOW!!! (Excuse me about manager). Rude, Unprofessional, Unkind, Careless, Stupid, --- Hole, And the list goes on.... My Mama told me No to talk ---- about people... But she also told me to speak out with the truth !! All the "GOOD REVIEWS" are written by him!!! I can't believe this guy. If you hear the same bad things about something or somebody from two or three different people...they gotta be true!! If I were you I would stay away from this building and manager !!!!! I am moving out next month. Thanks God!! Washing machines won't wash, drier machines won't dry and a whole lot of deficiencies in and out the apartment!! I can hear my neighbors conversations and even when they are squeaky, squeaky, squeaky.

I just moved in about a month ago and everything is going great. I had some minor construction in the place after the previous tenants moved out and before I moved in. The time frame was only a couple days but everything was complete except some minor sanding but it was all cleaned up right after they left. Not only was the construction complete but there was also brand new appliances. The building manager Marc makes the move in really easy and makes sure you are settled once you get in. Luigi the maintenance guy fixed the problem the morning after I emailed Marc around 11PM the night before that I had a small leak from the toilet. Pretty good turn around time I must say. In regards to safety, there are always people around. The parking is gated. You live in the city, of course it's not going to be as quiet as the suburbs. For it's location and near the action, it's actually pretty quiet. All the neighbors I have met so far love the place just as much as I do and they seem to all have been living there for years! There are not many original lofts in the city that are still for rent. If I had to do it again, I would be emphatic than I originally was when I was moving in. If you have any questions, shoot me an email.

I began living in Lake Street Lofts 8 months ago. I love the West Loop. The location is amazing. It takes me 20 minutes to WALK to work in the Loop. I have nightclubs, restaurants and shopping 1 block away. Coffee houses 4 blocks. There is a Green Line L stop being built right by the building. This is great for transportation around the rest of the city. I did have a car and the parking was easy and secure in the outdoor lot. I often had friends visit and found them free parking on the street. A few times they had to park in the pay lot on the corner of Lake and Halsted. My one bedroom apartment is beautiful. My cat loves to explore above the apartment. I used the firplace often during the winter and the deck in the summer. The laundry room is easy to use but you have to make sure you do not over stuff the dryers. The train never bothered me. I did hear my neighbors. I am not sure if it was the walls or the gaps in the beams. This is one thing that could be improved. The management, Marc, made sure he could work with me when I had to move. Everything was simple. I am glad he was so helpful. This is a great building. My one bedroom apartment was rented on the first showing. Enough said.

The first thing I find it very odd in the replies to messages on here is the attacking nature toward people that give a negative review. It's someone's opinion who is entitled to it and it seems every time there is a negative comment, especially toward management the tact is to point both barrels at the person giving their opinion and fire. If that alone doesn't raise a bit of a red flag...who knows what may. The neighborhood is what it is....if that's not the experience you're looking for you should look elsewhere. You can walk to Randolph to some restaurants but that's about it. Very hard to find a cab, during the day my girlfriend had problems with hoots and hollers by the workers in the area. Weekend street parking at night forget about it. But again, the area is what it is. My biggest issue was with the very creepy manager. Very much taking a personal vested interest in my business to the point of going overboard. I lived in a highrise downtown for 8 years, same building and I don't think I spoke to the management company more than two or three times over the course of that time. This guy was nuts and picky to the point of intrusive. Freaking out if your peapod goes up in the building, deliveries, getting in your business at to visitors and such...I didn't live in the place long and just had waaaaay too much contact and contact that was in area's of being totally inappropriate. To be honest I had the feeling of being watched....no thanks. It's really for that reason (the crazy management) and that alone I left the building and moved elsewhere. I'm sure I'll be lambasted for having this opinion but read other for yourself....that many people just can't be wrong.

well I checked out this building, and the area is not the best you can find in the city...especially with what they charge you can get a lot better place than this building and where it is located. the building manager does seem a bit on the strange side and after reading some of the reviews it all makes sense a bit.
