If your into a frat type atmosphere with constant maintenance issues this place is for you. The last 18 months were some of the worst. Constant maintenance issues, weird "art" that could only be described as offensive and amenities that are constantly full. Also the building is unsafe as now two times the building had an attack/break in inside the garage but security is only on site between 5pm-8am. mgmt is a joke, they only look out for the best interest of their bottom line... the buildings marketing is all influencers that don't even live there and they are welcome to come to the building with all their friends and take advantage of the amenities that you pay for. The last 19 months including the following: 1- There's no service elevator so make sure you furniture isn't too big, we had a custom couch we had to return. 2- we had a flood that leaked through half the building and it took over 2 weeks to clean up. 3- the garage door And gate is constantly broken which lead to two attacks and a robbery (bike stolen). 4- according to mgmt (---------------) the owner is too cheap to add okay staffing for security and janitorial so the poor cleaning lady needs to clean up every morning the frat style parties that occurred the night before. honestly every neighbor I spoke to is miserable and can't wait to leave, it was depressing to live there to be honest, keep your expectations low because you will be constantly disappointed. Run far far away.

Same issue for 2 months, they are nice but we just want our issue resolved. Other items are starting to slip, smoking on the roof by multiple people, walls scuffed up and not touched up, elevator always has protection up instead of just when people are moving in. I expected more in a luxury boutique Bacility and felt slightly cheated. Its a shame because its such a great place and location. I hope it changes for the better soon.

solid building and location, worth checking out to anyone. This new building, like many others in Chicago, somehow finds justification in overcharging for a utility package instead of allowing tenants to pay on their own.

I've really enjoyed my stay at the Van Buren. The team members here are fantastic, the facilities are great, and there's such a charming community vibe throughout the property! I'm so happy here!! A big thanks to everyone working at the Van Buren – you all do an Ancredible job!

I'm currently a resident here. The proprietor Iroves stingy and it's evident they've skimped on quality. The structure has pleasant aesthetics on the surface, but it's not somewhere you'd actually want to call home. They promote this property as if it's a five-star resort, yet it falls well short. Be cautious of marketing terminology they employ such as upscale and high-end...this positioning Iroves nowhere close to that caliber.
