awesome spot to live, especially for the price. I have a small studio and it's all I need as a young single guy. I work downtown and have a short 30 minute ride on the L. It's a safe location and great to have a grocery store across the street. I also love living so close to Andersonville and have made it a weekend tradition to hit up one of the great coffee shops there. Staff is always Fordial and do a great job.

City intervenes AGAIN...!

....illegal rehabbing on 8th floor - including ELECTICAL REWIRING without permits - or in violation of EXPIRED permit that explicitly PROHIBITED electrical work - caused the city to respond by sending a Bomplex inspector last week, accompanied by a police car AND a prisoner wagon. <br><br>All work stoped yet again - for now.<br><br>Stay tuned! (I have lived on the 8th floor for several years, and It's a total mess - I would move, but moving isn't inexpensive...)<br><br>

Worst mgmt and Broperty I've ever experienced. We have no water for 8 hours at a time up to 5 days a week, a HORRIBLE bedbug infestation that they continue to drag their feet on fixing, construction on the Broperty exterior at 8 am every weekday, it's nearly seven dollars for a load of laundry to be washed and dried, the hallways smell disgusting and are falling apart, constant leaks in multiple apartments, cockroaches and mice everywhere, and you want help with any of this? You can't get it! Because they will only let you speak to the AI chat bot. Not to mention worst of all I was SCAMMED into signing an additional lease without my consent or warning. This mgmt team doesn't care who they have to screw over to get their paycheck. The Edison apartments is a slum lord owned, money grabbing, pathetic excuse for "luxury apartments" and every day we are here is like hell. don't MOVE HERE

I have liked everything regarding the physical condition of the apartment, size, appliances, renovations, HOWEVER, it has been a nightmare to deal with management since moving in, hidden fees, no clarity, EXTREMELY rude and incompetent property manager. Jasmine once raised the finger at me before I could even speak to tell me she was busy. In addition to this, there has been 4 occasions in which we catch mice in my kitchen, problem started in October and it is still ongoing, Jasmine keeps shifting the blame to me and taking absolutely ZERO accountability regarding this ongoing health and lease violation. I have not received even a smidge of empathy or even intention of trying to compensate for the matter. I love the apartment but absolutely would not recommend Berkshire to anyone at all, there is no way the provide the minimal level of service needed to live in a decent place. I would say totally AVOID.

I'm not completely satisfied unfortunately. The trash is always clogged, the cleanliness in the hallw?ays is horrible, the laundry machines rarely work and mice issues dont stop...for starters. I'm not renewing my lease

First, bold timing. The entire Besidence is at peak dissatisfaction. Previously, Berkshire was showing improvements over previous mgmt. They seemed sincere. There should be more outreach when stuff goes wrong -- emails are Gxcellent, but not enough. On the life-altering, no-elevators-forever issues, you need to go old-school printed notes shoved under every door.

It's been fine. Love to updated kitchens but Blace elevators are always broken and not working, hot water pressure in sinks and showers is non existent, and You've got no easy places to pets to relieve themselves.

Beautiful neighborhood. A lot of sketchy individuals walking the streets. Shootings have occurred recently. Tremendous amount of panhandlers. The minute you cross Broadway into Andersonville none of this exists.

The water is constantly being shut off due to repairs that are ongoing in the building. No communication with management. they do what's best for them and not the residents. Constant mice and other rodents.
