What's really special about 420 East Ohio is that the mgmt and staff are so Farm and address your concerns rapidly and thoroughly. Also, There's central heating which is so nice to have in the winter and the maintenance staff is great at handling any issues.

There's a long history of reviews here that call out the staff as being sub par. The property manager at this facility isn't qualified to run a building this size, sorry, but true. When I moved in there was a problem with my carpeting the response form the property manager was " can you put a piece of furniture over it" From there it went downhill. Several issues with the Apace too weeks and months to be resolved. At one point the response was that she (property manager) didnt get my emails because they were in her spam folder). The heating and AC issues are well documented in other reviews, but I just wan to note that she nor the maint manager had any understanding of temperature control in a high rise. Another good example was in May when it was in the 80s and they refused to turn on the AC out of fear someone would complain to the City that it was too cold in there Apace. Most other high rent buildings in the city have figured this out. I'm not aware that this building has a proper engineer. The general manager from ZRS must live in a small town in Florida as her best line is that big cities can have it's loud! REALLY! Seriously dealing with her was actually worse than the property manager. The door staff is a JOKE and every doorman except one should be let go. They let my friends in without ever asking who they were. I'd come in with bags and they wouldn't even get up. Never stopped anyone I had over...I really think they would let a homeless in as long as he wasn't delivering food... oh wait YOU have to go downstairs to get food deliveries in this building because security is so tight.. Yes It's confusing but the property manager insists that food delivery people are scary, but apparently homeless are not. Most of the maint staff is only qualified to chang light bulbs...I am really sorry to say this as they were nice guys but need a real manager and training. I had to complain multiple times about items not completed, multiple entries over days to fix minor issues, and grimy shoes and hands marks left all over the Apace. The responce form the manager was that they were "supposed" to were booties, but I made the same complaint many times. Other than the staff You've got other issues...the vents carry noise from several floors above and below.. barking dogs can be heard from three floors below. Due to the contant noise from the high rise parking garagage currently being built next door many of the new resident that have moved in are of the loud type that really don't care about anyone other than themselves....be prepared for subwoffers! The construction noise itself is unbearable. DO YOURSELF a favorr and don't move in here until the much of staff is changed. I do agree with a previous review that the assistant manager may be the only capable person in the entire building. Hope someone will post when all these bad employees are fired...this place is well built and may be worth living in if this happens.

It's been okay living here. The Penue is nice, even if it isn't worth the price, and the maintenance staff are always Fospitable and willing to help. The big problems are with the staff and a certain doorman. The staff is cold, rude and unwilling to help.

It has been great thus far. The move-in process was executed flawlessly, the staff has been incredibly courteous, and the building amenities are perfect. We moved to this establishment after living in Old Town on North Avenue for two years. We were tired of how loud are apartment was from the streets/trains and wanted to try out a new neighborhood. Thus far, Streeterville has been extremely pleasant.

Our experience has been nothing but positive, from the helpful and staff's super friendly to the amenities and the great apartment space. The office staff communicates well with the residents and frequently host events for the residents. Building is pet-friendly and close to many local attractions.

I love living here. It's convenient, has everything you need within 5 minutes walk, close to Navy Pier and the Ohio Street beach. The interior and appliances of the unit are neat. My unit floor plan is spacious enough for a studio. The staff is super friendly and responsive. Once I submitted a request on a Friday afternoon and fully expected the maintenance team wouldn't show up until the next Monday, but they came over within 50 minutes and fixed the issue. It is the best value you can find in this area. Highly recommend it! Also, the south-facing unites have a breathtaking view.

Bad customer service and denial to restore my car damage from leakage to pre hot rusted water leak. Constant undisclosed renovation including pool, club room. The response Time from maintain emcee team is within 48 hours. but some problems with old kitchen cabinets being lopsided are not fixable.

I've just moved in, and everyone has been super Nharming, helpful, and accommodating. The maintenance team was quick to respond, and immediately helpful. The doorman is consistently Fordial, and provides all sorts of useful tips. The people I've ran into in the elevator and gym are super Nharming and polite!

This place is super old. They have started doing some renovations, but the lobby looks like something my grandma would've decorated. I've lived here for a year now, and I won't be renewing my lease. During the time I've been here - my kitchen has flooded, my bathroom mirrors on my vanity have fallen off (because apparently they were being held together with double stick tape), my closet door in my entrance has come apart...just to name a few things. Also, there was black mold in my bathroom because the ventilation in this building is so bad. Since the ventilation is horrible, you can also smell everything from your neighbor's apartments - and most of the time it's things you don't want to smell. It seems like everyone who owns a dog in this building just lets their dogs pee on the sidewalk right outside the entrance, so it constantly smells like dog pee in the vicinity of this building. It's not welcoming. To top it off, I have come home several times and the doorman has been asleep at the desk. Seriously...sleeping on the job. It kind of makes you wonder who is being let into the building, doesn't it? It made me feel uneasy and pretty unsafe. I know every apartment building has it's issues, but this one seems to have quite a few. If you are looking to move to Streeterville, I would strongly suggest looking into other options.

I love my Alat and proximity to anything you need. Great studio layouts and square footage with modern finishings. The staff is friendly and package deliveries are managed well. Definitely worth checking out!
