This place is ALWAYS HAVING PROBLEMS with the water! They are constantly doing repairs to the plumbing and to the boilers, it is ridiculous (every week/month we get a notice about a water shut off). We got a notice today that they have to shut off the entire water supply on Thanksgiving Eve from 9:00 AM to 1:00PM that makes NO SENSE! They also shut off the water without warning, you will go to take a bath or shower but can't cause the water is stone cold!!! why is this building not able to fix these issues. They charge a lot of rent and are constantly building new properties that apparently they can't keep up with. Also I see people with dogs breeds that are supposedly not allowed like pit bulls, bull mastiffs and dogs clearly over the 75lb limit that could easily bite or attack someone or a smaller dog. This is a huge danger to Tenants and their kids. I believe they are allowing these dogs even though it violates the rules because they are desperate for Tenants to pay the rent. They also have an issue with the receiving room/dry cleaners. There are sometimes 4 people down there and no one bothers to sort the packages until they "feel" like it. In the past they have had one person at various times handling everything and they did a better job. The two nasty old ladies who own/manage the cleaners only care about the dry cleaning and laundry and don't care about the packages since it doesn't bring them revenue. They are also very rude and I refuse to bring anything down there (other people should stop giving them any of their stuff until they get people to handle both the cleaners and the packages) they're over priced also, so I wouldn't bring them my stuff regardless.

I have lived in The Tides for two years and just renewed for another year. While nothing is perfect, I really enjoy living here. Pros: - Great location/neighborhood (gorgeous parks, grocery stores, banks, and pedway), literally within a few steps) - Everything is included except for electric, including AC/Heat, water, gas, premium cable, and internet. Electric bill is about $30/month - Friendly door staff. Always says 'hello'. - Outstanding views, especially if south facing (see negatives too) - Public areas are kept clean - Maint. requests are usually handled quickly - Mail room that will sign for your packages, which is great since I travel for work a lot - Washer/dryer in unit Cons: - An enormous building is being constructed directly behind the tower that impacts north facing apartments. The noise is pretty constant from 8am-8pm. Once built, it will almost completely block any kind of view. Despite this fact, upon lease renewal, my rent was not decreased. In fact it was raised $40. - The kitchen and bathroom, while generally functional, are somewhat dated looking - Internet can be slow at peak times. While Netflix will usually work, if you are a gamer, you would prob think about paying the extra $25/month for higher speed.

Sadly, this building gets worse and worse. Building management treats tenants as nuisances that get in the way. I wish I had moved in the Shoreham or Aqua. Garbage left in the trash drop rooms all the time. Had a big pipe replacement that people said they were forced to put up with and not told about before signing. Loud children in the lounging area almost every night. Not enough stair machines. Friends of residents use the computers in business room. Not a safe building at night. Old appliances. Not concerned about ceiling cracks. Not worth the money.

Living in The Tides was a nightmare. There is a bedbug infestation. Several times, pipes broke or fire sprinklers went off, flooding several floors. I know many people who had to relocate for months and had massive damage to their belongings. The Tides solution, now you have to get renter's insurance and make the building the beneficiary (how is that legal?). The management team is completely inept. Would strongly advice you stay away!!!!

I have lived at the Tides for close to 2 years. I like the people, staff and location. Management and the maintenance staff addresses issues quickly. My daughter, dog and I love the park and the building amenities.

I love the building, rent is reasonable. Parking is pricey but there is a cheap lot nearby. Great layout and great view. Easy to work with staff

The sales reps do a great job making this place appear great, but its awful. When I arrived for move in, I was given the keys without the apartment being cleaned or even a lock in the door! It was disgusting. I have been here 9 months now and because everything was made so cheaply, I have to keep getting stuff repaired. The heat is free but is very difficult to regulate. The parking is expensive. In the gym, at least one treadmill is always not working. Some mornings, you wake up and there's no heated water. The system to get your packages, is very problematic and you can lose packages very easily! The wait for the elevators can be 10 mins! And for about a month, the elevator button on my floor wasn't working so I had to go to another floor to catch the elevator down. The place floods often. And the staff in the housing management office are VERY nasty and rude especially when you make any complaints. Given all that, the apts are beautiful at first glance, but I will be out of here once my lease is up!

In less than one year they experienced three significant floods. There are only 4 elevators servicing 52 floors, 1 is exclusively used for move in/outs. Expect to wait up to 15 minutes each morning for an elevator. The gym is nice to look at, but hard to work out in. The machines rarely work. Receiving packages is difficult. Receiving closes for 2 hours during lunchtime and has limited hours over-all. If your package waits more than 1 week they send it back (even if you're on vacation). They entice tenants with great offers to move in, then offer significant increases in rent. In the order of >25% increases.
