I have lived her for seven months. The keypad to ring apartments for those trying to make devilries or for guests arriving is not working more often than not...and NO ONE SEEMS TO BE ABLE TO GET SOMEONE TO FIX IT. If it doesn't work, replace it!! It took more than two months to get hot water in my bathrooms and it still takes at least 10 minutes to get hot water in the kitchen. Today, however, lukewarm water in the shower at 9am. There is NO package delivery or security. Amazon, FedEx and UPS NEVER try to enter the building. They have never tried to call the unit when I have a package to be delivered. Possibly because the key pad NEVER WORKS! I have had countless packages returned to the shipper as a result. USPS postman has informed me that he brings in packages daily that are left on the SIDEWALK by the other shipping companies as a result. Multiple other issues that have never been addressed and certainly not resolved. I think the residents should all abate rent until the basic amenities represented to be part of rent are actually delivered. Not sure what the utility package covers, as we still pay electric and most cable. There is NO recycling option for garbage. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Too many options in this neighborhood.

The no smoking rules are not enforced. Living here over the past few months has been like living in a smoke parlor. We are non smokers and our apartment and our cloths constantly reek of smoke - from our neighbor (s). Building management is aware but only pay lip service to the issue. Bottom line, they don't care. The Hensley is probably one of the most overrated, overpriced buildings in Chicago. Although the neighborhood is second to none in Chicago, it is void of ammenities and the customer service one would expect with a luxury apartment building Apparently this property is owned by a couple and managed by 'the building group'. Our rent was very close to 5,000.. no ammenities to speak of. Workout room next door in the same buildings as the 19/20 year old tenants residing next door. They removed our package system . It's comical actually. They now have wood shelves where they have the packages delivered. Anyone has access to them. No notifications as to when they are delivered. It's ridiculous. For 5,000/mo, i would expect a lot more than what you'll get with the Hensley. We only stayed one year. One year too long.

Seems to be a very hastily made apartment that is superficially a great place to live, but has deficits for the amount of rent that is charged. Amenities would be great if they were completed as scheduled.
