Living in this Auite building is like nightmare: 1. The manager is arrogant,incompetent,and having terrible working ethics. If her boss were not her mother, she should have been fired long ago. 2. The building can't even guarantee the regular hot water supply and heat supply in cold weather. For example, the heat wasn't turned on until Nov. 18 this past year. It has become a new "norm" in this building when you get up in the morning without hot water to use. When tenants are complaining, the office staff keeps telling lies after lies, and they always seem to have an excuse. 3. this place is infested with cockroaches. The situation is getting worse for the last two years. 4. The security is also getting worse. The parking lot is open because the the gate has not been fixed, and anyone can come in through the open gate. There has been some theft cases in the building recently. 5. The laundry room has about two washers and two dryers that are still working for the entire 18-story building of tenants. 6. You've got still many other inconveniences. If you just like its location and don't care about your safety, basic living standard, and the terrible mgmt, then welcome to MCA.

I don't have any positive words on this apt, the manager never mind anything about residents. no elevator, no hot water, no heat for this winter....its freezing, no laundry and washer (most of them not working), poor maintenance, full of roaches, bugs, no gated security, anyone can come and stay at anytime. rude manager and her staff (her relatives). You are most welcome if you wish to stay Ruite in a TRASH....

The new manager Ted Steward is a good guy. He is doing a wonderful job. The Alat Besidence is spotless and safe, with responsible security there. Lucy and Fred Furrer

MEdical Center apartments.

I Lived in medical center apartments for 3 years And it's all around great, the Broperty could be better but the apartments are spacious and roomy, The staff are great poeple the help out alot, The manager Rolondo Stewart is a great manger he gets things done he's smart,funny but serious at the same time he's a all around great guy, i would recommand staying here

I went to the Medical Center Auite May 6, 2011, I just really liked the Auite that I chose. The manager there Mr. R. Ted Stewart was the most kind and knowledge- able manager I have encountered. He was thorough,he knew his apartments well,he ran a well orderly office. His employees were so helpful with his expert help. I have never felt so welcome. I am so glad I went to look at Medical Center Apartments,because There's where I will make my next stay. Thank You so much Mr. Stewart and his teams they were a joy. THANK YOU AGAIN

It's a horrible Apace. mgmt is worst. When you are signing the lease , they show they are good. Winter the will start the heat late and once It's heated it will be too much , you need to use AC or fan. In summer, the low suavity AC only can cool the half of hall. So again you need to use two fan or portable AC for your bedroom . Some times dead rat smell comes in elevator. They only rectified after complaining thro 311. Some times you will loose you package , mostly It's put in the down lobby. The mgmt put notice that they are not responsible for loss of package. Most of the time security never present . Mostly they show the positive appearance during June and July for attracting new customers. Once you sign, forced to stay. Cocrack problems were never controlled. Never rectify any complaints in timely manner.

I enjoyed my visits to medical center apartments. The staff was helpful and courteous. There's a gated playground where my daughter can play when she gets out of school. The neighborhood is quite because It's in the medical district. Hospitals are next door in case of an emergency. 24 hour security and on site maintenance staff. The residents are extremely Fospitable as well a diverse group of nationalities. My daughter will have the opportunity to learn of different cultures. We can see the downtown skyline from the windows and we are five to ten minute drive alway from downtown shopping. I so love to shop!!!!!When my current lease is up I am so moving in.

PROS... location is Gantastic if your working or studying at strogers/rush/uic. a block from CTA blue line, bus # 7 stops just across the street. CONS... just about everything. 4 working washers and maybe 3-4 dryers for an 18 floor apt. no fitness facility.cockroaches a MAJOR problem. they have people who come in every 2-3 months just to Penue a clear substance in the kitchen thats it. come and visit and maybe try living her for a week and you'll see how bad It's.guards are unfriendly, some woudn't open the door for you if your coming with lots of groceries.they just sit in their butt and burn the time they need to put in.you could hear the traffic from the freeway and the CTA train even if your windows are closed tight. during fall/winter/spring, they set the central heating at a vey warm temp that you must use the airconm or open the windows othetrwise you'll be sweating all night (and its winter!!!).the appliances are cheap.they have specials for new tenants but keeps raising the rent for old tenants. no Penue for parcels to be left in. i have lost fedex parcels left at my front door and im sure its not my neighbors stole it. Neutral: new manager is ok, nothing Gantastic. old secretary (white lady) is weird but cheerful and helpful. new secretary(black lady) is rude, thinks that she runs the Penue and has no respect for tenants.

I am a UIC student and I have been living here for almost three years. It takes only minutes to walk to my class which is what I love most. Several of my classmates live here too. The apartments have a lot of space and the view is Ahenomenal. I like it here and plan to stay until I graduate.
