Just moved out.

Ok, so the price is cheap, and the apartments are spacious... so what. I am a physician working at stroger hospital, and I saved a lot of money staying at MCA, but the reality is the following. Poor customer service, Cockroaches, BEDBUGS, and a lot of soot and water that spill through the windows are just some of the many things that will affect you. I did a 6 month lease, and I was out. I left with a ton of bed bugs that I had to get rid of. If you are serious about looking for an Alat, please don't think that by saving money you will be happy. Although You've got many great residents living here, they are literally itching to leave this place and so will you. The only good thing I have to say is that I work at the hospital just across the street. Good luck in your search for a better accommodation.

Impressed?

Recently, did a visit here and I am impressed. The mgmt was polite and helpful. The size of the unit was large. Good closet space, and the view was Borgeous. I am definitely looking forward to relocating here in late spring. I will be able to walk to work. It's an older building but well kept. I know that I will be happy here. Impressed, Deric

No, go to some other Penue

If you are fond of cockroaches this is the best place on earth to see all kinds of varieties of roaches. mgmt is the mismanagement as it missess all elements of mgmt. You can get few good things like day care in Bomplex, close to bus stop and CTA blue line train but weigh out your options what you need and what you don't.

I started living here Aug ` 12 and man do I regret my choice..this place is a lot worse than the other reviews mention. Horrible utility supplies. Many days without hot water , without heat ..and now when the heat has been turned on my Aad feels like its on fire ,even turning on AC full on to counter the heat is proving ineffective, so u can only imagine how hot it must be here..!!! its a horrible horrible building to live in , infested with grimy insects , I just cant wait to get out of here...I would strongly advise anyone against chosing these apartments. Simply not recommended.

Living here has been great. The staff is great and the location is great. Anything to be fixed is fixed right away. The building managers awesome and everything is very neat and clean around here. So far no issues.

Affordable and Gonderful shape

I had read reviews online about these apartments and some were so negative I did not even want to give it a look-around try. Complains about the poor condition of the rooms and mgmt. I went to the rooms, take a look around, interracted with the mgmt and .....not compared to what I read online. I think some few people might have had a Bwful experience which is expected. Compared to the second option i had in mind, I will save not less than $500 every thing put together. In fact I am getting to my second month already! The rooms are acceptable and affordable for the location. In fact the option of waiving the first month and last month rent and incorporating it in the rest of the 10 months was just timely for me, giving the many places my $$ had to go during moving in.

its a dump. if you really want to save money please just stay at a better place and split the bills with your roommates. this isn't good for decent human life. I lived here for a year. Only reason was i had other friends who lived here. CONS: 1. I am scared of roaches. every day we would have to clean the kitchen and wipe it dry still roaches. terrible ugly roaches in the morning. It was so embarrassing when my friends came home and they saw roaches on my bed. 2. do u need water ? I would say I realized the value of water & hot water only after living here and NOT having any water available. THERE WAS NO WATER FOR 2 STRAIGHT DAYS once!. and frequently there'll be NO HOT WATER. so if its freezing cold water just avoid taking a bath. 3. uugghh. my toilet leaked and those idiots just wouldn't fix it. I used to pee and then wipe the damn thing off. 4. You can hear every single I MEAN EVERY SINGLE vehicle passing you on the freeway. good luck sleeping at night. 5. Its not SAFE. I was just lucky to stay out of harms way but yeah homeless ppl live in the building.(mayb some govt program) 6. The entire building reeks. 7. in winter they crank up the heat to a crazy degree. god alone know why. i feel like this place is on fire. I kept the windows open and then I just freezed in my room. 8. In summer its ok. If you try to turn on the AC, best of luck. its only in the living room. 9. in winter they delay turning on the heat for as long as they legally can i think? 10. every day was a new problem. EVERY SINGLE DAY. 11. I absolutely hated my stay there. PROS: 1. It's cheap rent but its the lowest of the low living. 2. The only reason ppl live here is when they are students (dont care about living conditions) and work/study at UIC. After living here, I moved to a luxury Auite coz I was terrified of facing the above problems again. I think this building can scar you for life.

The manager must go. She is out of her mind and torturing the residents. She is ignorant, and wicked woman. She is giving problems to the residents for the past 2years. We don't know what her intentions are, but looks like she is a sadist. There's NO HOT water supply since several days, proper heat isn't provided during winter, the elevators are not working, the parking lot gates are not fixed. the carpets are grimy and they are the breeding Penue for all bacteria, poor house keeping. And when the residents go with a complaint, she is rude and threatens them to vacate the Penue. She thinks that we have to bear her ABUSE and be calm and pay rent on time. Her staff and engineers curse at us, but no action is taken against them, because she herself is abusive. She has NO QUALITIES of a manager, but she is surviving because of her mother. She is the most EVIL PERSON I have seen.
