I hate living in this Aad. The mgmt is horrible. They won't help you with anything. I had horrible rats and roaches, and they said I would have to pay to have them removed. Also, their staff just sits around and wont even answer your questions. Dont plan on parking there either, because they love to tow you without warning. Basically, never consider living here.

I live in the Bomplex and I just can't stand it any more. I need to learn Polish everytime I ask someone something I get I don't understand. The electrical they have working is a real jerk I ask for advice from him about my television he told that he would have to charge me for the information and he wanted cash can you believe that - I found out later he was the owner of Plam Electric the contractor doing the work in the Bomplex. The only guy that spoke english was a Plumber. Beware this place is a dump. I'm moving out as fast as I can.

I viewed this Btructure and was disgusted. I was really surprised as it appears they are actually selling these apaertments as luxury condos. The front desk staff was incredibly rude, especially impatient when I was confused over whether this was condo or rental. The elevators smell like vomit, the hallways smell like stale garbage and the apartments I saw were extremely run down. I'm not sure exactly where they were hiding the "luxury living" part but I would think they might do some more to show that off.

Yes this place is old but I knew that when I rented there. My only complaint is that the majority of the renters are young. My husband and I are in our 30´s and have seen some of the people at the front desk intoxicated and obnoxious. No wonder they say mgmt was mean (That's the way these 20somethings treat people).

this place is Borgeous and the sundeck has great views (impressive to our friends). We only moved because we built a house. The front desk is helpful and maintenance is on call 24 hours a day. What's wrong with that. Yes my dishwasher broke, so will the one in my house and guess what, I´ll have to pay for that.

I won´t miss the annoying young adults (if you want to call them that) in the building but.

I am 24 years old. Hardly the norm for area residents. Yet I find almost everything about 1400 enjoyable. The staff are great. The safety can't be beat. It's been a wonderful first year living in the building, and the most Bxquisite rooftop I've yet to see! Can't wait for summer and the super easy route direct to North Beach and the boardwalk....this place is stellar (okay, minus the parking....just don't bring your car! Or BUY a parking spot, for sure). Love it.

I've lived here a year and I have loved the Bacility. You can't get a better view for the price. I live in one of the "vintage" units that hasn't been rehabbed but it has worked perfect for me. The Bacility staff is always helpful and nice. There was one rude lady when I first moved in but they got rid of her quickly. The little market downstairs is great and they just got their liquor license!!

We lived at 1400 for about 1 year, and are we ever glad it´s over!

You've got two nice things about living at 1400, the lobby and living by the lake, that´s it.

mgmt is aweful, they´re rude and don´t care about anything but receiving your rent check. They´ll tell you the world, but do they follow through, don´t count on it. It seemed like there was a new mgmt staff like every two months. We left roughly three weeks ago, and we worth checking out waiting a few months (if you were so desperate to move here) before living there, then maybe the current mgmt team will be gone, especially the manager of the property!

Maintenance of this place is terrible as well. The heat and water are always messing up. And maintenance is in your apartment like every other day, sometimes w/o your permission. It´s like they really don´t care, and don´t call the maintenance department, they´re extremely rude too, especially the guy who answers the phone...lo-ser.

The apartments are in horrible condition, at least the one´s we saw. The walls are falling apart, the kitchens are almost non exsistant they´re so tiny, and the closets are quite simply grose!

If you´re a good negotiator you´ll be able to get a lower price then what they´re asking. They don´t care about ethics, they just want you in the building. Again, why you´d want to be in that building is a good quesiton.

After reading this, you´re probably thinking 1 of 2 things: 1) there´s no way I´ll be moving here (that´s a good idea) or 2) If we thought all of these things, why did me move there in the first place? Simple, we were new to the area and we worked them for a good deal. The deal wasn´t worth it though. In addition to answering the the second thought, that´s why sites like these are so helpful. People are able to warn others of what they could be getting into.

Lastly, if you need to live in that area, I worth checking out doing it across the street, or mayble sublet a condo from someone around the way.

I have lived in this Broperty for a long time and deeply regret purchasing. They call it a doorman Broperty but really it has a "security guard", who will complain every step of the way about helping you with anything. Forget trying to buy groceries and take them up to your unit, you have to pay $10 to pull up in front of the Broperty, it's beyond ridiculous how poorly they treat the residents in this place, everything is about fines and penalties and you feel like this place is run by a bunch of prison wardens. Forget trying to buy, not enough owners live in the Broperty for any bank to want to finance it. they act like they are dog Fffable but not really...and beware of the of the bald "security guard" he is making it his mission to call the cops on anyone he even suspects of doing anything wrong!

I rented here and was told there would be construciton and there has been. I have had a couple of problems, spoken to managment(You've got always people downstairs in the office) and it has been fixed. My unit now has new windows and new air conditioners - lide is good. The old windows did not go up and down. There's a lot of work being done - if you don't see that when you rent your are blind.
this place is great and improving. Construction is an annoyance but I am getting the benefit. Don't move in if you cant handle some inconvenience with construction. Move in if you want to live in a condo building on lake shore drive at a great rent.
