Great apartment complex. Quality building and neighborhood. I've enjoyed living here and all my guests come away really impressed with the complex and my apartment. This is exactly what I was looking for when I moved to Chicago!

Love living in Cobbler Square Lofts. Gutstanding community and staff is always helpful. Theo is Gutstanding and always greats you with a smiling face. The neighborhood is fabulous and everything is within just a couple blocks.

I lived in Cobbler Square for 2 years. After the first year, they raised my rent $20 for no apparent reason on top of my already over priced loft. The people in the office are rude and not understanding of any issues you have with the Bomplex. I had placed a doormat outside of my door in the hallway. It sat there pretty for about 3 months, and then one day it was gone. When I went to the office and asked them about it, they explained that they were sending out notices to all tenants to remove their doormats because they were a danger to people walking in the hallways, someone could trip. And they had no explanation to what happen to MY doormat; sneaky. There's always a washer and/or dryer broken. The fountain never works. In the winter, ice and snow fall from the roof constantly waiting to knock someone out. You would think that someone would go up there and shovel the ice and snow off, but no, they just leave it there. The doorman are nice and seem surprised whenever I say Hi to them. Most everyone who lives here is rude and stuck on themselves. The neighborhood is really nice, spotless and safe. THE NOISE! You can hear everything. My bed sits right underneath my upstairs neighbors shower. In the morning when he/she turns it on, it sounds like a waterfall over my head. One morning they dropped a shampoo bottle or something and it sounded like it was going to come through my ceiling. I can hear women walk through the halls with the sound of their heals echoing. I hear my neighbors phone ring EVERYTIME they get a phone call. I even heard them sneeze one day. I am a pretty Fospitable person and when I say hello or thank you to someone, I except a response back, but no one here, the tenants or anyone who works here, can seem to open up their mouth and be nice. This place sucks!

Lived at Cobbler for a year while I was in Chicago for a job assignment. The staff was friendly especially the front desk, the apartment was nice and we really enjoyed our place. The best part was having the open entertainment area in the building so when I did meet people up they could wait downstairs and I didn't have to bring them to my apartment.

DO NOT RECOMMEND: MICE/RAT GALORE The units themselves look nice and it's in a great location but that's about it. If you don't believe me, just read the other recent reviews. I was fooled originally with the overall high rating on google. To summarize: - Huge Mice problem - Paper thin walls, you can hear neighbors sneeze, burp, tv, and their conversations - extremely slow elevator Complained about mice problem, management hired "exterminator" to patch up walls and setup mouse traps but that doesn't do anything. I don't even sleep here anymore (staying at friends place). I have motion sensor cameras set up and I have caught 10+ mice within a month on video. Also I don't even have food or cook in the apartment. Also the landlord and Peak Properties, is not respecting Chicago RLTO and asking me to pay 2x rent to break my lease. So if you want to live with mice and also deal with legal issues this is the place for you

location's amazing!!!! CS is on the right track. Things here are great. Some people complain of noise, it isn't so with either of my neighbors ever in the 5 yrs.

Maintenance staff is Farm, but You've got definitely other mgmt and security improvements needed to make me feel at home. The staff varies a lot from being great to being unhelpful. We've had some miscommunication and poor service that makes it impossible to feel like home.

I moved into Cobbler Square at the beginning of May and I have really enjoyed my time so far. I had a few minor things come up when I first moved in (e.g. carpet pulled away from the tack strip), but I called and they were sincerely apologetic and fixed it the next day. They also followed up with a call to make sure it was fixed and that I was happy with it, which I thought was a nice touch compared to just the usual letter left by maintenance. The doormen are really nice and they always make me feel like I just got home, which is nice since I am new to Chicago. I looked at about 6 other apartment complexes, which were also nice, but the exposed brick and beam look and the uniqueness of the apartments sold me on Cobble Square. Another big selling point for me is that they regularly put on get-togethers for the residences (and local restaurants) to get to know each other as well as the people who work there. The neighborhood is great, being new to Chicago all my co-workers told me I had to live in Old Town and they were absolutely right. It's within walking distance of anything you need (if you like coffee you HAVE to go to Evas Cafe around the corner) and has a lot of great nightlife, but still has a neighborhood feel to it. I didn t want to deal with city traffic so I sold my car when I moved here, making public transportation a necessity for me, luckily You've got multiple bus and train stops right here and its eas to catch a cab. Overall I am happy with my decision to move into Cobbler Square. You've got a lot of awesome spots to live in Chicago, but for me this is definitely the best fit.

I lived in Cobbler Square for one year. Something was always broken, whether or not it was the elevator, the laundry room, the parking garage was off limits and even the "wonderful sundeck" was closed. It seemed that things were fixed too late. The sundeck would be torn down in June, the landscaping and water fall would be turned on late spring or early summer.
The noise is the worst. You can hear everything, even the people above you going to the bathroom. It sounds like the roof would fall in. I had water leaks from the people above us too. The doorman would be asleep half the time and they charge a ridiculous amount of money if you lock yourself out of your Apace.
Don´t be fooled by the "uniqueness" of the Blace. The rent is ridiculously over-priced and not to mention you have to pay for every utility in the book (water, trash, gas, sewer, etc. etc.)
