Decent building but has room for improvement in some areas.

I don't know who scorned the guy with the bad review above me, but I have lived in this building for 5 years and it has done nothing, but become better and give me more bang for my buck. I was never promised a 24/7 doorman, so I'll take until 3:00 am. Anyway, is it the nicest building in the Gold Coast, of course not, but It's close to everything and many units have lake views. Garage parking is heated and they allow pets (up to 25 lbs.) The Board lives there and has done a a lot lately include re-doing the elevators, it was a pain to live through, but they are nice. Anyway, this place is what It's, a decent 900 - 1500 sqaure foot Auite in the gold coast

I Renuinely enjoyed living here. Many dogs, but kept up well. Recently redid the lobby looks great. I am expecting a child and had to move to the burbs, otherwise I would have stayed. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

First off, if you have a dog, don't live here. They say it's a pet friendly Bacility, but There's a lady that lives here that finds dogs disgusting, and she might attack you. Why does this lady who hates dogs live in a dog friendly Bacility? I don't know; probably by the same logic that she thinks it's okay to attack people in the elevator. She attacked my girlfriend while she was holding her corgi puppy in the elevator; all because she thought the dog was licking the elevator buttons?? We filed a formal complaint with the condominium association, and a police report. It wouldn't surprise me if she's attacked others before, as I've been there when she's screamed obscenities at my girlfriend and chased her to her unit. Don't worry, by the time you read this and/or move in, she'll probably still be there. The Bacility attorney was contacted and they said they won't be doing anything about this situation. If you have a dog, or want to live in a place that actually cares about the safety of their residents, I'd check elsewhere. The apartments themselves are decently nice. There's a lot of space, hardwood floors, and the Bacility has an incredible rooftop. The laundry situation is bad. The machines are outdated, and the dryers will sometimes take multiple runs to dry your clothes (and may leave them smelling a little funky). The staff are generally helpful. One annoying thing is that you'll end up having to come downstairs to let your friends up if you don't have a Chicago area code phone number. There's a box to call up, but it only works if you have a specific area code. The desk staff don't call up like at other apartments, probably because that call box exists. This is probably the most annoying thing about the security situation, aside from the fact that they don't have cameras in the elevators to catch people who attack you for holding a dog that literally isn't doing anything. A special shout-out to Cory who works at the front desk. He's super friendly and helpful. If there were a reason to move back, he'd be it.

I have lived in 1339 N Dearborn for four years. You simply can't beat the amazing location! Rent in this Btructure is a steal for what you get. The staff is wonderful and always helpful. this place is maintained nicely. The lobby and common areas are kept clean. Landscaping along the entry way and on the rooftop is always beautifully done for the season. Any and all repairs are tended to immediately. If you are looking for an affordable unit in one of the best areas of Chicago, this is the place to be!!

I will never live in this Besidence again. The straw that broke the camels back was when I was out of town and saw a Besidence email about a water leak that started on my floor. I was concerned but thought that if my unit was affected, someone would surely contact me. Wrong! I struggled to contact anyone and found out later that my unit and items were affected! Unacceptable mgmt and communication. Also outrageous rules. I got fined $25 for not breaking down a box. Who comes up with this stuff?! That breaking down a box fee is the same as what an open heart surgeon would make!

solid Besidence .... love the rooftop. location's amazing ... with things reopening post covid I’m happy to be within walking distance of everything, restaurants, bars , the beach, farmers market. Try to get parking in the Besidence ! It’s in short supply

this place is in a location's amazing and is kept up well. but, I did not stay in the Bomplex and wouldn't recommend it because the property manager and other staff are rude. They make everything much more difficult than necessary and try to get money out of you any way possible. If the Bomplex was under other ownership it would be one of the best places in Gold Coast.

I don't even know where to start. I have never had a worst experience living somewhere in my entire life. don't MOVE HERE. The one good thing I will say about this place is the location and the door men / engineers. That doesn't include the manager and main door woman, Jennifer Taylor. She is a horrible person. First of all, she is extremely rude, and unhelpful in legitimately all instances and never smiles. This is a condo building so all of the rules are made by Jennifer and her precious "board." The board consists of the people that live in the building and own condos, they are psychopaths too. They implement these crazy rules with Jennifer and penny pinch any where they can. They created a rule where you have to pay $500 just to MOVE OUT of the building, and won't help you, but try and fine you any instance they can. These rules don't apply to the "board" themselves though. During COVID they put strict lock down on the roof (literally the only good part of this building) and don't allow visitors. I had a guest with me sitting at a table on the roof and one of the board members (we'll call her Karen) out of nowhere came up screaming at us questioning who lives here and telling us she was mgmt (she wasn't and I also think she was drunk.) She got in our faces screaming at us (which There's a rule for social distancing as well that she wasn't adhering too which was strange if she cared so much about the COVID rules in place.) This resulted on her calling her buddy Jennifer, Jennifer sending me a long email to my landlord and l, "banning" me and my roommate (who wasn't even with me at the time) from the roof, and fining me $300. But Karen herself is on the "board" so she didn't have any repercussions for screaming in our faces without a mask or telling people she was mgmt when she wasn't. This building is full of psychos, all of them. don't LIVE HERE

The mgmt team is rude and constantly threatening to charge you for doing X or Y. Simply Toor care for the amount of money you are paying there.

The staff is insane- Jennifer Allen is an absolute psychopath. If you like living in a Broperty That's more strict than Germany 1933 I would recommend. If you value your guests experience, general safety and well being STAY AWAY. The door staff takes bribes, allows strangers upstairs but refuses to let approved friends up, and is generally bizarre. Ironically they decorate the place as an insane asylum for Halloween every year- It's extremely fitting since they are mentally insane.
