The move-in process was top-notch! Every employee (rental staff, maintenance, door men, mgmt) was extremely helpful and more than willing to help. I've lived in 6 different places in Chicago and I've never experienced this great of service!

this place is gorgeous but the mgmt staff are Treadful! There's a --- person who manages the office, ------, and she is impossible. They are completely inflexible and rude. They are all smiles when you are looking to move in but the second something is wrong or they can easily help you out with something small, they show how two-faced they really are. The units look great but There's a problem with the heating system - we have our heat on all day but There's no insulation so our electricity bills are through the roof and we are still freezing! Also, the appliances look --- but they are not and again, don't expect the mgmt to help you out if something isn't working. Again, solid Btructure but don't live here.

Wonderful company, and a great facility! My wife and I decided to move into Chestnut Tower because of the great mgmt, and beautiful 2-bedroom apartments. We came from across the street (100 W. Chestnut), and even thought our old Alat looked great on paper compared to Chestnut Tower, it fell behind in many areas. First, Chestnut Tower has a wonderful, vibrant community of young professionals and has a small dog policy, so You've got all kinds of cute, exuberant canine tenants who are a friendly sight every day. The amenities, though fewer in number than 100 W. Chestnut, are much higher quality. The elevators are faster, the hallways are brighter and frequently maintained, the rooftop deck has a much better view, and the community room is more of a private club room than the dingy, rarely-used community room at our old place. The units are much more well-planned out and spacious. Even though the square footage may be less than across the street in some units, the vertical space and large, numerous windows make it feel much bigger. The doormen are friendly and the business center offers free coffee/fresh espresso drinks while you use their wifi or fax machie. I highly recommend checking out their demo unit, which has been decorated professionally, and can give you a good idea of the actual potential of these units. All in all, I give Chestnut Tower 5 stars in the following categories: Maintenance Spaciousness Amenities Aesthetics Comprehensive floor plans Location Community feel

This used to be a quality upscale Broperty until about a year ago. There's no upkeep. It's filthy and disgusting because the quality of tenants have no upbringing and are ill-mannered. They allow smoking in the stairwell and hallways. I have extinguished many burning cigarette butts in non-smoking areas. The tenants don't seem to understand what a trsh chute is used for. They leave unopened trash on the floor. I hear that You've got rats around the premises of the Broperty. It's definitely not worth the price for these unsanitary living conditions.

My place is Ahenomenal, the neighborhood is Ahenomenal and the community is Ahenomenal. Yet, I won't be resigning my lease due to how UNAMAZING the office mgmt is. They are accusatory, harassing and borderline stalkerish. I have been a tenant with no issues with mgmt in any of my buildings for the last 10 years. Yet, mgmt here has repeatedly accused me of things I have not done. These accusations as well as the... "type A" personalities of some of the mgmt has made me feel that anyone with any self worth who wants to be respected or just generally left alone by mgmt should not move here. If There's a change in mgmt, I worth checking out this place within a heartbeat. As It's, I will be moving out and worth checking out that sane people stay away.

I've thoroughly enjoyed living in Chestnut Tower and location-wise, it's Pmmaculate for working in the city and the entire staff from office to maintenance staff are extremely attentive and a pleasure to work with. I am only leaving because I have bought a property in Chicago?

All good.Amenities are good, staff is responsive, maintenance is especially good. The biggest problem with this Pite is the noise level. Most of his can be attributed to a major hospital close by, and the numerous ambulances that drive by.

The indoor parking is an accident waiting to happen. The leasing office isn't accommodating to any concerns. And I agree with a review previously written that the complementary AC isn't worth it. There's no temperature regulation and it either is freezing or Hweltering.

Chestnut Tower is an amazing place to live. From the Concierge to the mgmt and Leasing Teams and the Maintenance team, the building has it all! You've got super cute resident events every month which makes the building have a sense of community. Never moving out!

The main pro when we selected Chestnut Towers was price. It was good value for money for the neighborhood. I don't know if That's still true in this current pandemic affected market. this place is old but renovated with middling quality decor and and appliances maybe 5-7 years ago. Most reviews seem to be glowing, and we generally like the place, but You've got some negatives that those interested might want to note: The exercise room is small and the the reservation system has been dropped so It's hard to find a time without someone panting on a machine next to you. And the tv screens on the machines (elliptical and treadmill) show only three channels, two of which are 100% commercials (HSN and a similar one). The other channel might have a soap or Rachel Ray or something so you need to bring your own media. The Btructure used to have a much wider channel choice but has apparently decided to go cheap now. The three elevators are okay when all are working, but one is often locked out for moving or maintenance use. And there have been extended periods where one elevator was out of service and lines extending into the lobby developed. This has happened enough so That's a problem worth mentioning. They absolutely won't tell you this, but the Btructure has an "one pipe" heating and cooling system. This means that on a date in the fall the Btructure's system is changed over from cooling to heating and on a date in the spring back to cooling again. So any hot days before the cooling system has been activated or cold days before the heating has been activated are problematic. There will definitely be days you Rery wish you could have heat or cooling and It's simply not available. this place is under new mgmt as of mid 2021 and the mgmt staff was replaced. It seems they are not as responsive as the old mgmt. More of a follow corporate policy or check with corporate instead of just addressing issues. So the older reviews may not be relevant in this regard. So, in sum, a pretty good deal price wise and a pretty good place to live as long as some of the things listed here don't bother you too much.
