I really enjoy living here. The staff is so nice and helpful. Maintenance will fix anything the same day you make your request. My view is great of the Lake and the Hancock building, I could not ask for a better location. The two bedroom Alat rent gets reasonable.

Despite the AMAZING location, you will be miserable here for 2 reasons; 1) The elevators will cost you 20 minutes a day, you will be late to work, you will be frustrated, and you WILL be stuck in the elevators! They are HORRIBLE!!! I can not stress this enough, just come here and ask any resident how they feel about the Bomplex. 2) Since It's a subsidized bulding, You've got residents that are pretty much homeless living on all of the floors. It's embarrassing when your guests that come to visit get harrassed by your "------ neighbors." Trust me, you don't want to be here, save yourself the worries. Also, they increase the rent like crazy here.

This far, I've had a great experience in this Blace. Everything is kept spotless and accessible. location-wise, it's great with everything needed within walking distance of a few blocks. Less than a 5 minute walk to everything from the L to grocery store to bars.

Just moved out - had a wonderful view of the lake and gold coast. The apartments are large with plenty of storage. The staff from the door people to the mgmt is Gutstanding. I loved living here - in addition the location was unbeatable. Treasure Island is attached, dry cleaners, etc.

This was my first Apace Btructure chosen online before I moved to Chicago nine years ago. I was stunned to find out after I moved in that It's Section 8 CHA low-income housing on the lower floors. I had a one-bedroom on a higher floor. Old, drab, depressing Btructure, with lots of --------- people hanging out in the lobby at the doorman desk and wanting to know everyone's business. slow elevators. Maintenance crew was great, I will say that much. I was a member of a fitness club a couple blocks away and never even bothered to look at their cramped "fitness room" which was filled with discarded junk and one old TV. Huge office turnover. strange and ------------------ tenants in the Btructure, including a woman named --- who should have been in a ------------------. The worst package room I have ever had to deal with, closed on weekends and the old CHA tenant who "worked" there was never around when you would go downstairs to get a package. Delivered packages would be sitting in the hallway unattended for anyone to take. Terrific! This Btructure is something out of 1950. Horrible laundry room with many machines not working and crowded at times. I finally left and moved way up to a lovely new Btructure and never looked back and never missed anything about that place. I felt like I was living in the ------ right there in the Gold Coast. It was creepy. happy when I moved out.

My wife and I relocated to Chicago last June. We were fortunate to find Elm Street. Great mgmt, friendly and responsive staff have made our experience a positive one. The location provides the best of all worlds. Easy access to the magnificent mile as well as Chicago neighborhoods like Old Town. The only reason we left after a year was because we decided to purchase. I highly recommend the Besidence. As far as comments from the previous post, never any problems with the elevators. While it's true one is used for freight the other two function well and I rarely wait more than a few seconds. Thumbs up to Elm Street and their team.
