I concur with "Sentence Iroves Over" 1111 not particularly impressive

We were also pressured into signing a lease on the same day as our showing. Fortunately we managed to secure a favorable rate out of it. <br><br>The residential structure is fairly ordinary. The structure engineer is extremely off-putting. We likely would have renewed, but they raised our lease renewal cost way. On moving day, they were also turning over numerous units for incoming residents the following day and rushed us to vacate the space, even though we were permitted to stay until midnight.<br><br>The positive aspects are:<br>bay windows (creates an illusion of spaciousness)<br>Aabulous doorman in the district

Some of you, folks, have voiced complaints about this stunning structure. I have serious reservations about those grievances, especially since I've been a resident here for more than 10 years and every single concern I've encountered has been resolved right away. - The positioning is absolutely delightful, situated near everything you could ask for: shopping centers, dining options, and so much more... - The structure super is an great, courteous, and supportive legit, and his team is truly Pxcellent: dedicated, respectful individuals who are constantly prepared to assist you or tackle any repairs that arise! - Tim & Tom, our front desk staff, are remarkably Fordial and courteous, constantly grinning and eager to lend a hand! (Thank you, gentlemen!) - We have a lovely rooftop swimming district, absolutely fantastic during warm months!!! (I'd love if it stayed open throughout the evening, but I completely understand why that isn't feasible, so I'm making the most of it whenever and as long as I can!!!) - The laundry facilities are well-maintained - My unit is spectacular, generously sized, flooded with light, and boasts incredible vistas! - great parking accessible on the property! I feel secure and protected, which makes me genuinely content. Delighted to call this residence home!!!

Everyone I know here is extremely unhappy. I am counting down the days until I move out. The bottom line: NO AIR CONDITIONING. (Even though they claim they offer it as an amenity.) All the apartments are 75-80 degrees for a solid 4 months of the year. Even when it&rsquo;s in the 40s outside. The elevators are always broken and were out of compliance with the city of Chicago&rsquo;s law for a long time. People get stuck all the time. It&rsquo;s dangerous and I&rsquo;m surprised someone hasn&rsquo;t gotten hurt. 1111 is the worst of the worst, and the vacancies are starting to show that. Building management does not care at all... they just wait for people to move out. Just do yourself a favor and don&rsquo;t live here - it&rsquo;s not worth it. Look at some of the older buildings across the street, on Elm street, etc. and you&rsquo;ll find similarly priced apartments with better amenities.

Absolutely terrible. All the reviews prior to this about the elevators understate the elevator problem here. If you rely on making a bus/train/ride at a regular time daily, you won&apos;t be able to do that here. The number of times I&apos;ve missed my bus, train and even ubers/lyfts leaving after waiting for over 5 minutes is ridiculous. Also, they push how close you are to the Red Line but if you plan on taking that during rush hour, never expect a seat or even room to fit on the first train that goes by. The fact the elevators are as slow as they are is one problem, but coupled with the fact that there are never more than 2 of the 3 elevators working, and at times 1 and even none working, is absolutely crazy and absurd. I live on one of the top floors and have resorted to taking the stairs down over 20 floors because I knew the elevator wouldn&apos;t be coming. I would be ashamed and embarrassed if I was PPM charging what they charge. And to add to the prior comment about how expensive utilities are, they are SO expensive even though they don&apos;t give you access to A/C until maybe June/July. Where is all that money going towards? I think I know, it&apos;s their freezing cold A/C&apos;d rental office. They blatantly lie to residents about their ability to turn on the A/C. I bought a thermometer and on average this spring my apartment has been sitting at around 74 degrees and peeked at 80 when it was warm and sunny. I really don&apos;t know how you can say you have air conditioning when you allow apartments to reach those temperatures. I&apos;ve lived in some really bad apartments before, but this is by far the worst for the amount of money.

Live ANYWHERE else. The elevators are extremely slow; they&apos;re old, and currently in violation of Chicago elevator code requirements. Often one is &quot;out of service.&quot; Elevator 2 was down for almost a month, it was to be &quot;upgraded,&quot; and is now out of service again. I hear alarms going off in elevators all the time. The utilities are outrageous--expect to pay $100 more than they quote you. Door-staff is great. Terrible management company and owner.

What I like about living at 1111 N. Dearborn the wonderful environment to raise our children in. The entire staff, from the doormen, to the maintenance staff and management are all so wonderful. They really create a beautiful atmosphere and we feel very well looked after. Maintenance does an excellent job repairing things promptly and expertly. The other residents are also very friendly. It feels very safe here. Our three bedroom corner apartment has a very good amount of space for a family. We love the big living room with floor to ceiling windows. Each child has their own room. We also love the carpeting. It makes getting bumps and bruises more of a rare occurrence. We love the convenience of the exercise and laundry room. The kids love the pool in the summer. It is a nice place to be social, enjoy the sun, and even get some exercise since the pool itself is a pretty nice size. The neighborhood is also wonderful. We are very happy to raise our children in the city and this part of Chicago has so much to do. We can walk or take a bus to Maggie Daley Park very easily and enjoy all the things to do by the lakefront. We also have plenty of conveniences within walking distance and restaurants we love as a family.

We really appreciate living in a building that is so well staffed. 1111 N Dearborn includes the constant presence of a doorman in the lobby to monitor traffic in and out of the building and to assist residents with their needs. The prompt and efficient response of building staff to problems when they arise if always a huge help. Everyone in the building is very friendly as well, creating a warm environment. Our two bedroom apartment is also very well appointed. The features that came with the unit prior to move in were a big reason we decided to live here. The amount of closet space, kitchen appliances, spotless bathrooms, and heating and cooling units in the building sold the whole thing for us. Once we moved in, we came to appreciate the layout even more. We have a corner unit which includes little alcoves in front of the window. We really enjoy how our apartment came together and our very happy here! When it&apos;s not terribly cold, we take advantage of our proximity to the park and walk or jog over there. The onsite fitness facility is wonderful to have when weather prevents us from going to the park. I also enjoy the pool in the summer. Who wouldn&apos;t! Public transportation, restaurants, and grocery stores are all very close by for our convenience.

We live in a 3 bedroom 2 bath corner apartment at 1111 N. Dearborn and we absolutely love living here! Our floor to ceiling windows have amazing city and lake views. There is a big bay window on every wall so you can imagine just how this apartment looks and feels. The amount of closet space is very good and the kitchen has lots of good appliances. We use the second bedroom as a guest room and the third as an office. It is such an amazing amount for this part of Chicago combined with such great features. It was very clean when we first moved it and we just love the way to looks all around. The doormen are very friendly, office staff is very competent, and maintenance is punctual and professional. We LOVE the rooftop pool all summer long! It has great views too and lots of lounge chairs so you can really spend all day up there, getting tan and hanging out with the other residents. Everyone is very friendly here. We also like how quiet it is at night. Other great things about this building is the fitness room, dry cleaning, and stately lobby. As long as we are in Chicago, we will live @ 1111 N. Dearborn!!!

I&apos;ve been renting in Chicago for over 25 years so I&apos;ve definitely had a mixed bag of experiences! There are several things that really sets Planned Property Management apart from the rest. First of all, the entire team at 1111 N Dearborn is amazingly responsive. I&apos;ve rarely lived in a building with a staff, much less such a dedicated one! They quickly fix or replace things, usually the same day! I&apos;ve always found the majority of the staff and maintenance to be extremely friendly and truly caring. The building itself is also in very good condition. We have a very nice lobby with beautiful marble walls, couches, and other things that make it look very impressive when I walk in. I also find the doorman very friendly. The elevators are fast and rarely break. And then there is the amazing rooftop pool. It is big, clean, and a perfect temperature. Great views too. And then the apartments are also in good condition. PPM is very good about conducting upgrades and staying in touch with their tenants. This leads to better apartments! I enjoy my windows, carpet, and appliances very much! Nice amount of space and an interesting layout. I really enjoy coming home from work to this wonderful building. With an amazing staff, comfortable units, and plenty amenities it really is a great place to live!

We are very happy to live at 1111 N. Dearborn! My mother and I are privileged to live in such a beautiful building. The staff always quickly repairs anything that is broken and keep the common areas very clean. Lumi in the office is wonderful and is always eager to help! All the doormen are first class - we feel secure and pampered living here! Our two bedroom is so roomy and perfect for two people. We each have our own bathroom and big windows in each bedroom. The living room is very nice as well with a big corner window. It is very luxurious to look out onto the Chicago skyline at night. So much closet space as well. The surrounding area is also very nice. We live on a relatively quiet street near lots of good restaurants and shops. The red line is very close and there are also lots of buses to take. We both work in the area and love walking to work. The lake is a short walk and it is easy to get to the Loop. The entire building is lovely. We also love the laundry on site and the fabulous pool. Thank you for everything!
